I believe Solanke is an excellent prospect and Nigeria should get him if possible.

BUT all the comparisons are needless. At this point, both players are just prospects. Anything can still happen.

I do not know how you can not understand something basic as the Eredivisie is easier than the Premier League. I know Tommasson, Nisterooy, Ibrahimovic, Suarez, Kluivert, Kanu, Huntelaar etc came from the Eredivisie. It doesn't make it easier.

Look at Graziano Pelle at Southampton. In Feyenoord, he scored 27 goals in his first season and in his second season, he scored 23 goals.

At Southampton, he scored 12 goals in his first season and in his second season, he has scored 9 so far.

The Eredivisie is easier and you know it. Anyone who knows a bit about Football knows this.

Don't you think the fact that they came from Eredivisie to become top goal scorers makes the Premier League look easier to goal goals?

And how come they just from Eredivisie to score at will in premier-league?

If the Eredivisie is easier how come they don't win the European Golden shoes yearly? grin

It seems you do not understand the post.

Graziano Pelle
Eredivisie
First season = 27 goals
Second season = 23 goals.

Epl
First season = 12 goals
Second season = 9 goals so far.

This alone shows how far difficult it is in the EPL.

Where did I say know? I said I think. My personal opinion from his stats. How can you have a problem with me thinking he is not good enough for our Olympics team. Five goals in open play in 17 starts as a point man in the Eredivisie. Come on.

You think he is good enough. I do not. Simple.

Good you declared that it is your opinion and thought which is different from what is really on the table for technical assessment. Thanks grin
Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by TheSuperNerd(m): 6:33pm On Apr 05, 2016
They were two in number sef....... Godwin Obaje who was said to be scoring goals for fun in training and Bright Onyedikachi who was so good Siasia didn't want him to leave camp but stay by sending him to the U-23 camp alongside Obaje.

Obaje stars for Wikki Tourists while Onyedikachi stars for Ifeanyi Ubah FC.

terzurum5:

Mr. Technical Facts, what facts do you have to prove to us that Solanke is ahead of Chikatara?

You people seem to underrate some of these dudes. Kayode was prolific while in Isreal and has not stopped banging goals in Australia. Chikatara is one of the best young strikers in the NPPL. Imoh Ezekiel is not shy in front of goal plus his previous achievements, no thanks to his move to China. So how can Awoniyi, Osimhen and Solanke become our most prefered options? I don't get it.

What about that dude that played well during trainings with the Super Eagles. I guess Coach Siasia asked him to go team up with the Olympics team. Osimhen, Awoniyi and Solanke may look promising but are not a match to these three names I have mentioned. Experience counts.
TheSuperNerd do you remember the dude?

Don't mind him........ hahahahahaha..... he's at it again.

Stating only part of the facts that will make Solanke look better. #smiles

Solanke is a great talent but Sir Forgiveness is taking this too far...... way too far.

Nacho only played about 8 games overall for Man City's EDS (U-21s) in 2014/2015 in all competitions (1 in Fa youth cup, 1 or 2 in Fa intercontinental cup, 1 in uefa youth league-- 11 mins, the remaining 4 or 5 games in the FA U-21 league.) and we all know why...... INJURY AND INITIALLY, WORK PERMIT ISSUES

It was once said that Hitler applied a powerful law to get what he wanted as regards the Jews.... Hitler constantly repeated a lie in the ears of the Germans and beyond about the Jews.

He repeated it so much that soon it came to be believed as the truth or whole fact.

This law states that, ".....if a lie is repeated long enough in the ears of many, soon it will become known as the truth....."

Solanke is an awesome and fantastic rising prospect but you can't place him in the class of another young player who's his club's senior team's most prolific or best impact player.

Sir Forgiveness, why do you give room for some forumites to think you speak mainly for players of Yoruba heritage? I know you're Yoruba... *don't ask how I know.... I just know* #smiles BUT I STILL BELIEVE OR WANNA BELIEVE THAT YOU DON'T USE TRIBAL SENTIMENTS TO TALK FOOTBALL.

Please Sir, I know I'm not the first to bring this up. You've probably been accused along this line before but what I do now is different...... i'm only making an innocent observation. I don't accuse you of anything.... it's just an observation (don't blame me, I'm a scientist and keen observer....... #smiles). Some folks here could easily point to the central core of players for which you speak up..........

From Kayode, to Ajagun, to Solanke, to Odubajo, to Owobowale, to Adekanye Bobby, and many more.

Sir, it's just an observation. I believe in due time, you'll put off these suspicions. I admit some of the talents you vouch for regularly are great prospects e.g. Dominic Solanke.... but my observation still remains.

Hope y'all had a great day.... #smiles

TheGoodJoe:

Stop spreading your fake tales about Iheanacho playing in the same youth grade as Solanke. Iheanacho first had work permit issue and then injuries kept him out for long.

The question is if John Guidetti could score 20 goals in 23 games in the Eredivisie and we did not make so much noise about him, why are we not having peace with Solanke's seven goals in Seventeen starts.

You are even taking results of long time ago. Why not use the results of the recent Eredivisie attackers. When did Bergkamp and Dirk Kuyt play in the EPL. You are funny.

Wilfried Bony scored 31 goals in 30 matches (Eredivisie)
In Swansea he scored 16 goals in 34 matches. (EPL)

Is the Eredivisie easier than the EPL? Please, are you trying to prove that the Eredivisie is tougher?

Solanke should improve and give us stats like Bony and Guidetti. You are the one who shouts mediocre. 7 goals in 17 starts is mediocre for an Eredivisie hitman.

What are you showing? Did I change my stand? The EPL is by far difficult than the Eredivisie. To come in from the Eredivisie and perform well, you have to be prolific. Even prolific Eredivisie finds it difficult.

So showing me prolific Eredivisie talents doing well in the EPL or average players doing well in the EPL does not change the fact.

The EPL is far more difficult than the Eredivisie.

Do you think the EPL is harder than the Eredivisie?
Re: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by TheGoodJoe(m): 7:49pm On Apr 05, 2016
In the Eredivisie, it is unimaginable to see Depay, Bony and Pelle bench. In the EPL, you find them sitting on the bench in games. The EPL is harder unless you want to prove to me the Eredivisie is harder.

I can boldly tell you that in every line up, the coach set him up as the striker and not a winger. He is a striker. He has started every game as a point man and he replaced the point man in every game. How you want to convince me that he plays as a winger baffles me.

Strikers drift to the wings and drop deep during games. That does not make them Wingers or midfielders.

I am baffled with the way you argue football.

Solanke is a reserve player for Chelsea. It is difficult for him to see shirt. At Vitesse, he is a regular striker.

John Guidetti was a City reserve. He hardly saw a game. He went to Feyenoord and was their regular player and top goal scorer.

The dutch league is a developmental league. Youngsters use it to make the step up. When they start showing signs of being world class, they move to better leagues.

I am a Wijnaldum fan and I feel he can do better with a better team. I am an Anita fan.

I am one hundred percent a Luiz Suarez fan and I feel he is Arsene Wenger's greatest mistake.

The first club I ever followed was Ajax Under Van Gaal.

The problem with you is that you see everything as an attack. If Solanke was my younger brother, I will tell him to work hard and improve his stats.

Many have seen me write Nacho should keep working hard.

I am not pulling down the Eredivisie. It is a fact and if Solanke is to convince the Chelsea staffs that he is good enough for the club, he needs to perform better.

We know he can do better. You do not need to get defensive in everything. At the end we do this for the love of Nigerian football.

If Solanke wants to play for us and he becomes better than Ronaldo De Lima, it is for the development of Nigerian football.

EXCLUSIVE: Alex Iwobi wants to be part of Nigeria Olympic squad

Apr 5, 2016 14:51:59 Exclusives

The Arsenal youngster has praised the work of coach Samson Siasia for delivering Nigeria a ticket to Rio 2016

Arsenal forward Alex Iwobi wants to be a part of the Nigeria squad to the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro after failing to see the Super Eagles reach the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations.
Coach Samson Siasia was the first person to invite Iwobi to the U23 collective ahead of qualifying for Rio 2016 but he could not take part due to his past with the English youth teams.

The 19-year-old eventually committed his future to Nigeria when he made his competitive international debut in the disappointing defeat to Egypt in last week’s Afcon qualifiers.
“It was a massive disappointment for the team that we did not qualify for the forthcoming Africa Cup Nations,” Iwobi toldGoalafter scoring in Saturday’s 4-0 win for Arsenal against Watford.
“The coaches and players worked so hard to gain the ticket but it's a shame we didn't get through. We conceded a late goal in Kaduna and unfortunately we were unable to convert our chances in the second leg in Egypt.”

The player who has been described as ‘special’ by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has turned his attention to Rio.
“I am looking forward to the forthcoming Olympics and if I am invited, I will do my best to make a meaningful contribution,” he said.
“I believe that Nigeria has a crop of excellent players who are capable of doing great things at the Olympics. Coach Samson Siasia deserves a lot of praise for securing a place for the nation at the Olympics.
“I do not have any regrets whatsoever in opting to play for Nigeria and will always do my best whenever I put on the green white green colours of Nigeria.

I hope to be involved in the forthcoming World Cup qualifiers too.
“I am very grateful to my team mates, the Nigeria Football Federation, coaches, the press and fans for the warm welcome I received following my decision to come home.
“Nigeria is a great footballing nation and deserves to assume her rightful place in Africa and world football and I am keen to be part of a team that achieves this goal,” Iwobi concluded.

Nigeria will head to the Olympic Games in August before playing their first 2018 World Cup qualifying game in October.
