From what I have gathered so far from LagosNIV and AbujaNIV; the issue here would be dual intent. It will be difficult to convince the visa officer about your intention when you have a pending k1 visa application. To qualify for a B visa, you will have to prove you will only be in the US temporarily and will return to your home country at the end of your visit. In making a decision, the officer will consider your friend's personal circumstances, travel plans and financial resources.

Just to clarify if they are already married the application would not be a K visa which is fiance visa but rather an IR visa which is a for immediate family migrating to the US.

Herbwise
Though we avoid the 'what are my chances' questions for this one I would say 0. Its a marriage so there is strong intent to stay which further makes his case worse.
Besides embassy still have to consider if the marriage is simply for migration purposes .

Happy hug everybody! Its like this salary they are owing me de pinch una body? grin

Me sef I apologise retroactively and in future for when I sometimes enter into my 'part time badmouth' I admit I am guilty.

That being said, Let me point out something. Opinions are what we proffer here. In law, one is trained to state that an assertion is his opinion unless it has been established. We also have different means of expression being that we have different backgrounds and perspectives. Bearing this in mind I wish all the readers would just take the opinions and leave any other thing they do not like as chaff.

But me personally sha sha o! I believe that when people become all politically correct the essence of this thread may be lost. Some people (my opinion!) Need extra emphasis to strike a point for example where a person comes here to 'testify' that God helped him get his visa and he told a material untruth during the interview. Or that he's planning to acquire the Bvisa to abscond.

Writing in Caps is shouting so your 'ARRANT' is not cool. You also made assumptions and inferred the family reason is to relocate based on the way she stated her case. A whole loads of variables come into play. As par the family vacation application, the possibility of her or the husband not having the basic knowledge about it sure exist. Maybe she just need to be coherent and lucid about her thoughts / situation.

You sincerely have no point... i was just waiting patiently for you to nail me but you couldn't.

* As per the bolded above, The lady asked me for a solution and i stated that, can't i give options again, did i abuse her with that?
* Arrant in my dictionary means (Complete, Utter) i don't know what it means in yours...?
(Maybe you are clouded with the stereotypical use of the word in the phrase "Arrant Nonsense"wink
* When people write in caps and it's regarded as shouting is when a whole phrase or the whole statement was written in caps.
i only wrote one word in caps and i did so for EMPHASIS sake.

Guy, get you life together and leave me outta your misery!

I wanted to state just this when i 1st saw her post but i didn't want to be the white egg.... I had same impression that the true motive of the visa was to gradually abscond (Based on the way she posted it). Since she has her visa and have traveled before she could have done a family application for sake of vacation. Taking the baby to see uncle (afterall, baby is too young to recognize uncle) was more like uncle is my hubby or this baby is going and not coming back, uncle will take good care of him/her (and since the VO wasn't privy to her other family members). the argument or sentiment was tenable.

#Flimsy... yea, she's traveled to the US and most likely saw uncle, so the baby was the one going to see uncle this time.... That was arrant FLIMSY! (the baby is too little to recognize uncle, such purpose will only makes sense if uncle is the baby's father)

This assumptions are too much naa, remember someone wanted to see the snow and he/she got the visa

Read back, it's about the baby not the mother.... Mother has visa, she only took the baby to the embassy for the baby's visa with that claim.

As at the time I travelled, I didn't have my baby. In fact, I didn't know I was pregnant for her until I got to the USA. I could have used the opportunity to give birth to her there but no I didn't. I came back, gave birth to her and need to take a vacation and take her along as well. My other kids will be in school by that time and moreover, the stress of handling 3 children will be too much. I don't have the intention of ever staying in the USA because I have built so much in my home country. I just feel it's cool to spend a annual leave outside the country. I await advice and suggestions. Thanks all

We've advised you here to reapply. I saw your post at the Non-Immigrant thread, but as usual @LagosNIV will never give you a favorable answer to questions concerning chances at the interview; they are professional and must be discreet in some cases.
You apparently have very good ties. Work on your intent and purpose of travel; explain every other situation during the interview with the visa officer.

She can only answer questions and she is not expected to start talking like a parrot, she has a valid visa, she obviously filled d ds160 form for the baby alone, she for write say d baby na special adviser to Ambode on infant matters to prove baby ties?

FrontPageLawyer:

In adjudicating the applications of your infant, the visa officer will most likely look at your social, family, and economic ties. You didn't do justice to all that. I will advise you re-apply, but you will have to show further evidence of your ties or how your circumstances have changed.

My advise is for you to apply with all the children this moves will show how strong you are financially and also they can travel for the long summer holiday if not christmas holiday.

My husband has a visa already but my other two kids will be in school by then. It's my annual leave so I intend going for vacation and shop for the kids. My Hubby isn't travelling with us and I think it would be a little stressful going with 3 children.
So, I hope explaining that I wanna go on vacation and shop for the kids would be good enough.
I appreciate u. Thanks a bunch. Awaiting ur response

I still think u shd apply for family vacation. Y get visa for 1 child and not the rest.

You don't have to travel with them all. When u get d visas, u can schedule the trips when dey deem fit

Bros, I think it's better we punch holes in the story here, then put our heads together to solve her issue than to sugar coat it.

Beniyoha looked at the worst possible scenarios of being an immigration risk. Not necessarily throwing punches at her, but dissecting the story for reconstruction.

We are almost getting somewhere with her story let's not derail it with accusations
