Nobody wants to get associated with the word gambling but it is actually since most decisions we take results in a 50-50 probability ... if you are buying or selling from a level and not 100% sure if goes up or down then its a gamble.

Secondly, some people believe forex should be your second source of income while having a major source. But If you haven't gotten to the level of trading whereby you could confidently consider it as your main source of income then you arent yet a successful trader but an employer to your broker.
Therefore, anyone on this forum with a main job (while trading forex with one leg in and one leg out) isnt making money in forex but a noise maker.

Nice one Jorel1...I think a lot of us here need to master to art of trading in the moment.Because I have read a lot of posts where people simply just guess where the trend is;they simply just assume...

If people can easily tell where the trend is at the moment it will definitely help them a lot in making the right trading decisions.

Good Morning House...Boss Fesh, I miss you and everyone on the forum, I have been trying to keep up with the thread. I sometimes laugh at posts, other times I am bewildered (lol), buh in all, I have tried not to open my charts to see what you guys are arguing about.

I have tried psychologically detaching myself from active trading while going through my trading journal to see where I can make necessary adjustments before I resume next week. I was particularly impressed by P.B's pip combos totalling over 200 (I call that the gentle fist technique ), while Fesh Sama and Sweetmaris posts on Ogbo made me just laugh aloud(abeg tk it easy on him).

Ok, lemme go back to my training while I keep up wif your posts, its nice commenting here once again, as always

You get to a stage in life were money is nothing, but trading for some brings just money.
I m good at trading, but I love offshore Marine logistics and oil field servicing so I work and learn about the field. Plus I don't work for money cos I will make money anyway from trading. I work to learn and get fulfilment.
So, I beg to differ, not everyone that trades and has a day job isnt making money from trading. There are some though, just not everyone.

Afterthought; you néed to see the kind of money that changes hands in marine/oil and gas. , you will love to be part of a team whose JOB is rendering services in these sectors.

well ,I know the truth hurts but yet If i make more money from marine and logistics than I do in forex trading , Why bother myself with the stress of trading?? ofcourse except I just love my career so much but not necessarily the income from it.

If I have some job that pays me 10000 Euros a month.. I wouldnt be trading or gambling.. I have 3 masters degree , running two Engineering PhDs at the same time running another distant learning bachelors degree in electronics and biz in parallel. and of course my other job of pussy licking

In as much as I love my career development and could find my self useful in so many companies and academia , I might end up never using these degrees..or only use them for the love of my career as long as forex pays me more..
But if i can get financially rewarded in my career much more than in my trading , then I focus on my career and trading can be some back up plan for the future.

Sir, I have read all that you have posted and I agree with completely but you should note my encounter with that lad, he obviously lacks enlightenment in what he is saying and has strong bond with pessimism. He's type is exactly the motivation we need to succeed.

Your point is noted but just as Capitals explained, not everyone is motivated by money alone. Having a regular job provides the necessary distraction from your charts and association with society. I am an IT Professional and more recently a Trader but I would not let go of either career no matter how much I make from either one because of the simple fact that both endeavors are integral to my personality. Even
if I make $10k every day, I will still keep my regular job cos I enjoy doing it.

Hahahaha...Boss Fesh, why not?, we are all complex creatures and most people I know have more than one or two hobbies which they most time turn into a money making venture or charity. If for instance I love:

FOREX (because I have an analytical side),
Owning FARM/RANCH (because I love nature) and
Sports (So I own a local footbal club or a gym)

there is nuffin wrong doing all simultaneously, I know as Nigerians all we think about or work towards is becoming rich (any which way), so we forget what makes us unique but rather stick to what the crowd does... Ones we are rich, we end up over indulging in illicit activities we call "enjoyment" which do not necessarily bring us inner peace but rather helps us self distruct, that is why we have very few mentors in Nigeria, other than the religious leaders who most times miss the mark when they are also rich.

When you are less busy Fesh Sama, check up Michael Angelo's biography (One of the Ninja turtles was named after him). He was a "Painter", "Architect", "Poet" and "Sculptor", he has magnificient works in this different endeavours, yet he lived for about 88 years...The human mind is limited by its owner Fesh Sama, come to think of it, we were actually created to live for eternity if not for sin, so why limit yourself to making wealth and get all lost in it, instead of exhausting all your inner gifts and go to the grave empty?...Anyways, my thoughts, and like always
