This is a viper! I am really surprised to see this cos vipers are not common in sub Saharan Africa. In fact the only known specie in Africa is probably the night adder. Adders are known to bite their way out of their mothers belly, killing her in the process. One of the most deadly snake species in the world!

Re: The Snake A Nairalander Killed In His Neighbour's Farm by ercel: 2:54pm On Apr 07, 2016
That's a viper. My grandpa used to kill those, one day my grandma told us her dad (our maternal great grand pa) killed a pregnant viper and 84 baby snakes of different species were found in it!
They say it climbs a particular tree to drop the young upon delivery, but when it doesn't the young kill it when delivered.

Extremely foolish move! And barbaric!

It is wrong to hunt or kill pregnant animals. Even if its a tigress. Atleast where i come from. May the Gods bless your future with barennness.

And you call yourselves FARMERS?!! Every intelligent farmer knows that snakes protect crops from pests like rats, etc. Farmers are the last to kill snakes.

Anyways very barbaric. You killed a pregnant animal.
