burrytee: If you have a sponsor with enough fund to cover both Tuition and extra $10,000 Canadian dollar, the amount in account doesn't really matter. I can just add to your financial ability. That's what I think, others can comment on it. That's what I intend to do as well, the money in my account isn't much, but the inflow is steady, cos it's a salary account, but I want to get a sponsor with @least $20k Canadian dollar, probably a friend |

Hello all. Highly impressed with the wealth of knowledge and help received from this thread and it's fast becoming an addiction for me as I get to read it everyday. I was delayed last year and just requested for the GCMS file which is attached. Some of the things written there were discovered not to be true. 1. No record married: I included my marriage certificate, my husband also wrote a consent letter and I indicate in the CIC form that I am married. 2. Diploma in metallurgical & materials engineering: I included my Certificate and transcripts which indicated I had a degree in met & mat and not diploma. I also indicated this in the form. 3. Wishes to enrol in a college degree in a post -diploma in PM: I was admitted for PGD in PM. Not sure if these means the same tho. 4. Currently works as a sales rep: this was in the past. I indicated I was managing my personal business with evidence. I have however tackled some of the issues stated while I intend explaining the rest with a strong SOP. Please all I need your help on how best I can tackle them on these points. @thesoj: i appreciate your help when I was delayed last year and I know you are very busy but I did request last year you will help proof read my SOP( pls don't say nooooo ) Thanks. 1 Like

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by DanIndia(m): 3:55pm On Apr 07, 2016 |
Original copy ? I sincerely doubt that. Apart from the Bank Account Statement and the CIC documents, the other documents need not be original. Keep in mind that documents once submitted may/will not be returned back, except in cases where they send all your documents back because it is incomplete. So if you submit your offer letter and do not get it back, what are you going to show as proof of job offer? Just make a photocopy and apply with that. That's what everyone does. laamilaaka: 2 Likes |

laamilaaka: If that's what you have use it, I believe they will verify if it is genuine. Some schools send electronic copy of admission letter, that was what I was given (University of Manitoba). If they have any question they will contact them 1 Like |

Hello all, I am trying to apply for my TRV online. I need to know if i have to fill the IMM 1294 with BIRO and scan or type on the system and attach. Is there any rules bordeing on that. Biko, pls help me. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by DanIndia(m): 4:38pm On Apr 07, 2016 |
Haha e don tay when I hear BIRO last o. No, you won't have to download, fill with BIRO and scan. Just download the new ADOBE PDF reader and you can key in the details, validate and save the file, then upload online. Hope this helps. o2: 1 Like |

You were supposed to quote the OP, not me. And SCAN, PRINT and NOTARIZATION won't really cut it, I believe. I'd recommend a photocopy as when you scan and print a document, you actually degrade the quality of the letter (I'm speaking in terms of resolution and clarity). The best option is just do a photocopy. Anyone can notarize any document. abestine: |

Dainty321: I guess this is your first delay (or if second maybe a different app route from first). It has become obvious with the volume of app from Nigeria, many of the applications are not properly assessed. Case files can be used as legal evidence (not for TRV) and you can imagine the grammatical error most of them carry-indeed most assessment are done in a haste. On the the details of yours, they acknowledged that you're married. The "no record" is for the Foss check (previous refusal). PURPOSE is a big deal for all TRVs. For students, these VOs don't care if they return or not cos they know that 90% of applicants may not return. I once chatted with a VO in church and she said to me, the first thing they verify is PURPOSE, the rest is icing on the cake. I suggest you go for a prog that clearly relates to your current line of business cos one that relates to your previous educational background may not pass the test. Except by chance, submitting the same facts even with a better SOP may not give a positive result. SOP is just for matters that are not quite clear. I know a number of students who got their visas without SOP. Goodluck! 1 Like 1 Share |
