Barcelona hold possesion everytime while most of their opponents try to defend and cancel Barcas tactics. Definitely the opponents would get more cards its only logical. If you have an opponent that comes out to play football and not defend like cowards there would be less cards If Brazil play Cameroun, Who would have more red cards When you keep the ball your opponents would get more cards 7 Likes 1 Share |

raumdeuter:This seems fairly right. I stumbled upon an interesting stat that no team has played against 10 men than Barcelona in the CL (new format). Their adversaries have received whooping 30 red cards. Given the way Barcelona play and dominate games, this shouldn't seem abnormal. But this is also pretty debateable as Real Madrid, Bayern, United or Milan have dominated too (fairly similarly) or have made very similar high number of attacking moves in the past but the numbers of red cards their opponents have received is incomparable to that of Barcelona's. I won't spend much time dwelling on this however because the reason for this is not the most obvious answer. http://www.marca.com/futbol/champions-league/2016/04/05/57042370e2704e4b058b4640.html But what i find so amusing is how it's so difficult for Barcelona players to get sent off. I watched the match versus Atletico and Torres red card is fully deserved but i noticed when Suarez kicked and punched his opponent and only gets a yellow which is very strange. UEFA, though i really doubt this, might later look into the incident and Suarez may not escape punishment because he's really a cu.nt and being a world class striker doesn't change that. His antics from Ajax to Liverpool and so on precedes him and Barcelona folks defending him isn't going to change that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ihw2hzoaehw Now i don't believe in conspiracies but there are some glaring examples of matches which looked rigged in favor of Barcelona. The one vs chelsea for example and it doesn't get any worse than that and some other strange incidences like Van Persie getting sent off for kicking a ball after the offside whistle. I can't remember any other player getting sent off given the same variables in similar conditions. I get the fact some folks simple just hate Barcelona for being successful and i'm all for being objective, so these kind of arguments shouldn't be dismissed. Besides Madrid fans should stay far away from these kind of arguments because their team is also very controversial and we know what those who live in glass houses should do. 4 Likes |

^^ Luis Enrique:“I love the type of player that Luis Suarez is,there’s no other striker in the world like him," “In football only defenders are allowed to hit players. If a striker suddenly does it then people are more bothered." |

bykebyke:You are allowed to defend Suarez. It's fair enough. He might be a cu.nt, but he's your cu.nt and he delivers when you guys need him. I myself don't mind United having a cu.nt like that but he really should have been sent off. 3 Likes |

Concerning that Suarez kick on Juafran, did anybody notice it during the match? I did not! I watched the match in a viewing center, were as usual almost everybody was Anti-barca and are very thirsty for this kind of controversies! And I did not hear anybody say anything about the foul because I'm sure they did not see it! So if it can escape the sight of these many people, why wouldn't it be able to escape the sight of the ref? Or do refs see everything (100%) on the pitch? Besides, when he elbowed Felipe luis, we didn't see it, but the ref saw it and gave him a card! 2 Likes 1 Share |

GBR1: All these conspiracy theories are bulsshit. Teams play 10 men against barcelona because they try to foul Barcelona more than any other team. You are a man utd fan, Was that not the same complaints against your team from EPL fans some years ago? Would you say its a case of favouritism for manure or that teams were deploying hacking methods Barcelona hold the ball and the know how to use the rule to their advantage. When Suarez kicked at Juanfran in the clip you posted what did Juanfran do? Now tell me assuming that was Suarez, Neymar, Robben, Diego Costa or Busquets that was kicked what would they have done? Madrid vs Wolfsburg, Marcelo kicked Arnold, 2 seconds later headbutted Arnold yet Marcelo was the one who rolled on the floor and Arnold was the player who got a red card. Just assume it was busquets that Marcelo kicked or Headbutted A team that is as good as barcelona, teams device illegal means of stopping them which involves many hard tackles Players like neymar, Messi, Suarez are so good that people cant stop them by legal means they resort to hard tackles. We saw Felipe luis tackle on Messi which could have been career ending, We saw Zuniga tackle on neymar which could have been career ending, We saw Gallas injuring messi, We saw Del Horno on Messi. Should the referee wait until they ruin their careers before taking action Look at hazard last year because he was dribbling in the EPL, How many tackles did he suffer ? Robben vs Juventus suffered many niggling tackles now he is out indefinitely. Is it until the game loses all the flair players before referees take action Zlatan last year was sent off in 30mins vs Chelsea when he didnt make any contact with Oscar does that qualify as one of the circumstances? Abidal was sent off vs Chelsea for daring to chase Anelka does that qualify? When van persie got sent off, he was already petulant with the referee, after that he kicked the ball when he was one a yellow and the whistle had gone 5 Likes 1 Share |

raumdeuter:Most of the decisions in those circumstances were fair at the time but there were also some controversial ones i would find difficult to debate. I wouldn't go into this as a United fan. Barcelona hold the ball and the know how to use the rule to their advantage.Exactly, We have already agreed they hold the ball, but this reason is not the entirety on which we should agree on. It is more of when this is coupled with the way they play the rules to their advantage. I think this is due to the differences in league and football culture in general. Drama or play acting on the pitch is far more prominent in Spain compared to other top leagues and i'm not really a fan of those kind of antics. The league already plays very good/quality overall and it's just more of a stain when teams commit everything to win with those tactics. Barcelona in generally profits from this too much and it's fair to draw a line. I'm all for winning fair and square and i hardly don't understand why they'd need it if they can really be so good, as they are already. Madrid vs Wolfsburg, Marcelo kicked Arnold, 2 seconds later headbutted Arnold yet Marcelo was the one who rolled on the floor and Arnold was the player who got a red card. Just assume it was busquets that Marcelo kicked or HeadbuttedAre you endorsing Marcelo actions? Would you have a Bayern player acting similarly and Bayern still losing like madrid did? I'm sure Barcelona would get similar stick if they failed to win the match. A team that is as good as barcelona, teams device illegal means of stopping them which involves many hard tackles Players like neymar, Messi, Suarez are so good that people cant stop them by legal means they resort to hard tackles. We saw Felipe luis tackle on Messi which could have been career ending, We saw Zuniga tackle on neymar which could have been career ending, We saw Gallas injuring messi, We saw Del Horno on Messi. Should the referee wait until they ruin their careers before taking actionThis is basically true. Most teams don't have answer to how Barcelona plays. I'm not against players getting fair red cards. It should simply be fair to both sides. But it's like you are basically encouraging players to dive and win penalties if possible, and blaming those who don't receive penalties because they fail to dive or fall properly when they were tacked. Football won't get very far with that. People have the right to want success at any cost but it shouldn't be at the cost of decency or by cheating. Robben vs Juventus suffered many niggling tackles now he is out indefinitely. Is it until the game loses all the flair players before referees take actionChelsea rightly got criticized for that and they eventually even lost the tie fairly so again i don't know what you are trying to portray with this. I'm against all of it; simulation, cheating, theatrics and deception. Barcelona or Madrid should be no exception to these. They appear worse to me than putting 10 team behind the ball AKA parking the bus. Abidal was sent off vs Chelsea for daring to chase Anelka does that qualify? When van persie got sent off, he was already petulant with the referee, after that he kicked the ball when he was one a yellow and the whistle had goneYou shouldn't mention the game regards Chelsea because there's simply no justification for that many wrong decisions against Chelsea. The incident regards Van persie is also very strange even with those conditions and it was used as an example in that context. 2 Likes |

GBR1: There would always be controversial decision even when Stoke plays Norwich but because its barcelona it gets overblown by people who cant beat them on the pitch Exactly, We have already agreed they hold the ball, but this reason is not the entirety on which we should agree on. Atletico the team they played is also a Spanish team and Atletico is also known for some of the worst gamesmanship in the sport. Diving atimes is to draw the attention of the official to the tackle, If Juanfran continued with play like nothing happened, How would the official know they had to do something? If Busquets had not gone down under Torres tackle would there be a red card. They need it because they are so good people try all sort of antics to stop them which can ruin their career and deny football of flair players. The reason barcelona seem to profit I already said is because their players are very skillfull and if any team come to them 1 vs 1 without illegal tactics Barcelona would win most of the time. teams device illegal means to stop Barcelona. I watched Italia 90 and saw how Cameroonians kicked the shiit out of maradona, Cannigia and the entire Argentines. Cameroun won the game with 9 men, if the ref was fair and gave all the right cards Cameroun should have been down to 6men. Are you endorsing Marcelo actions? Would you have a Bayern player acting similarly and Bayern still losing like madrid did? I'm sure Barcelona would get similar stick if they failed to win the match. I dont get you, Is losing the match the problem or the action of diving? I dont support Marcelo for what he did but what did Arnold gain out of his honesty? a yellow card, maybe If Arnold had rolled after he was kicked maybe he would have called attention to the incident, and avoided a yellow that could prove to be fatal as the competition goes on This is basically true. Most teams don't have answer to how Barcelona plays. I'm not against players getting fair red cards. It should simply be fair to both sides. How many red cards have players got against Barcelona that is not fair? Point to a red card A barca opponent collected that wasnt fair or even contentious like the Zlatan no contact vs Chelsea red card. I am not a Barcelona fan but I am sick of hearing these allegations from lesser teams who cant match them on the field. In fergies time, Man utd was winning because of referee, In Germany, Bayern was winning because of bayern-dusel, In Italy Juve is winning because of bribery, In CL Barca is winning because of UEFAlona. Those are excuses of the weak. Play to the rules simple But it's like you are basically encouraging players to dive and win penalties if possible, and blaming those who don't receive penalties because they fail to dive or fall properly when they were tacked. Football won't get very far with that. People have the right to want success at any cost but it shouldn't be at the cost of decency or by cheating. If there are tackles that come your way which could have ended your career but missed by inches, you shouldnt call attention to it? If you are tackled unfairly go down and call the ref attention to it let him make a decision. Chelsea rightly got criticized for that and they eventually even lost the tie fairly so again i don't know what you are trying to portray with this. I'm against all of it; simulation, cheating, theatrics and deception. Barcelona or Madrid should be no exception to these. They appear worse to me than putting 10 team behind the ball AKA parking the bus. You mean as long as they lose the tie, the cheating is Okay? Parking the bus is a legit tactic, kicking and trying to injure players is illegal and their are rules against it You shouldn't mention the game regards Chelsea because there's simply no justification for that many wrong decisions against Chelsea. The incident regards Van persie is also very strange even with those conditions and it was used as an example in that context. I dont know what is strange in giving that type of card. Its not the first time a player would be carded for kicking the ball after the game. Its a time wasting strategy. RvP was on a yellow, the ref blew the whistle and he kicked the ball after, what should have been done to him? 3 Likes |
