Hello Beautiful People,
Its been an escape week for me so far,
I went greedy, but mother market decides to pardon me.

My trade from Wednesday 6/4/16 to Friday 8/4/16

AUD/USD -1

NZD/USD +4, -20 +18 = +2

USD/CAD +103, +132 = +235

My Week 14 Summary

Total Pips = +237

Total Week Pips = +526 pips

Well, USDCAD was very generous. grin

Though i didn't meet my target of 1000 pips weekly which should give me 25% of my account,
But i tried averagely, by making 13.15% this week,
I have made out plans to improve my trades grin
Thank your Sensei Pipsharingan for your motivational charts that made me trade live speedily,
I await your come back to the battle field next week, grin. I am quite sure you have mastered some wonderful jutsu and on your way to become legendary.
and also prettyboey -sama for the calcualtion tips, i later found out my summary already contained it cheesy
and currentprice keeping it real 100% cool
Shoutout to that trader out there that said "trade in the moment" those words are priceless

Everyone do enjoy your weekend.

EF

I'm not gonna talk about money management or risk...just the most important skill you need to learn in order to win.

If I could go back in time and tell myself to learn ONE thing what would it be? I have watched over and over again, new guys struggle with different strategies. You are not unique like a snow flake. I personally did this so many times, but like Edison, I learned 10,000 different ways that these methods/strategies didn't work. Or did they?

The answer is yes, they all work and they all fail.

But how do you tackle the problem? Recognize that there are only 2 real situations, trends and breakouts. Churning? If you think a pair is churning then drop the time frame and you will see a trend. So should you trade the trend or breakouts? You will literally drive yourself nuts over this one so I'm gonna tell you a serious short cut.

Trade both. In order to do that you need a serious skill and what is that ONE single skill to master? Here is the gold...you need to master trading the pullback.

In both scenarios, trading the breakout or the trend, you MUST master the pullback. Think about it. In a trend, the pullback returns to support then resumes its course of the trend. In a breakout, a trend was in place and it looked like a pullback was taking place then it just kept going in that new direction...the breakout to establish the new trend. Then once you see what has taken place you will want the best entry and that will be the pullback of the new trend after the initial breakout.

In order to really master the pullback, you should really hone your skills at drawing diagonal trend lines. Remember, a diagonal trend line is only 2 things...support and resistance. But support, sell resistance. Once it's broken then do it all over again

Tom29i:
from d stables of Tom29, if 151.77 hold on GJ. I see 1:7 to 1:10 brewing. my demo picked 151.88 buy limit & in green stop loss 151.40. free dollars from my strategy..gud RR is d beauty of FX not BIG BIG high blood pressure lot size. Like I said smallest is 1:2. na God

TP hit with RR 1:5 or 7. Dis trade was suppose to be day trade but quickly hit tp before e time. na I'm adding Daily / weekly chart for swinging along day trading / scalping with same targets. that is 1:2 to 1:5. Daily / weekly generate 1 signal a month or quarterly, day trading 1 signal every week. dis is why I concentrate on one pair. Gold is my favorite pair.

My personal definition as follows:

SCALPING for me means any trade that last
several minutes to several hours within 24
hours period.
DAY TRADING is holding a trade from several hours to several days
SWINGING is simply holding security from
several weeks to several months.

Sorry to burst your bubbles sir,
But in a churning/ranging market, there are 2 types, I would use simplified terms for newbie, the extremely tight one within 20 pips or less and the wide ones which could be 20 to 50 pips or more, best advice is to identify the main trade, and place a pending order on both sides, or in a conservative way, be patient enough to wait for a breakout and the trade, or better still there are more than 30 pairs, just look for another one to trade.

Sir you may be a master in hedging/trading both sides but you do know it's never advisable for learners like us to hedge. grin because I don’t see reasons to rush into a trade, it's better to miss a trade than to lose it.

Happy weekend,

First, you need to trade like you don't need the money.

Don't go to the trade; allow the trade come to you. Cherry-pick your trades.

The market is always there, presenting countless opportunities. Don't rush.

Take only low risk; high probability trades. You will only appreciate this when the losses accumulate, and you realise they would have been avoided if you sat on your fingers!

You can go a month without losing ANY trade if you want.

BTW, I trade only H4 TF, and I hate indicators!

Does any one knows the cheaper way to fund forex account? I have been using Gtb ,but their gap between deposit and withdrawal is much .
My broker is tickmill. They açcept almost payment methods including netteller and i can withdraw to any account somehow but I need help on which payments method is cheapest to fund now.
Netteller, ibtc Mastercard, or which one? I am leaving Gtb at 300/$ or so.

Should you choose to deposit and withdraw conveniently
I do advise this few known brokers in no particular order, alpari, instaforex and fxcm.
They all got local agents around that got reputation, if you ask me, I'm using instaforex, my cousin use alpari and team members here use fxcm.
So far, we are happy grin
tickmill is very good and reputable too, I used them when they were still armanda, but the increase in dollar I had to switch and should incase I have a complain, I could storm into their office in a cowboy style, that's the reason I use a local broker so to speak.

Hope this helps, IMHO

Thanks man,
i am a core scalper with heavy lots trade. So spread plus commission really matters.
so i have been using pepperstone for almost 5 years, but i dont like the way am been short change with GTB withdrawal differences. Thats why i want some other options and backups. I dont use all these local brokers for reason best known to me. When i started my fx journey over 8 years back, i was with alpari.uk before they went insolvency. Apart from that, they still use black market rates for deposits. So no much difference. All i want to know is that if there are banks or e-currency paltforms that rates of deposit and withdrawal is very slim. I heard of stanbicibtc is around $280/1$ but not sure of the withdrwal.
Imagine GTB charging you 300/1$ and your withdrwal is less than 200 rate. on around $1k, thats stealing over 100k in naira. Thats wayo ..I cant take it again.

Well said mate,
Very true Alpari had serious issue back then,
Well all brokers do have issue one in a while,
the question is this was your money sabotage?
I don't use Alpari like I said before,
I use instaforex currently deposit @315/1 a withdrawal @305/1
Just chill abit more, team members would shine more light on there brokers esp fxcm.

P.S, you scalp, don't you think you should switch, anyway kudos to you as long you are bagging the pips. I too was a bad*ss scalper popularly knows as the TrendRaider grin.
But in the long run, just like every fast cars, if you hit a stone, your drawdown would be deep.
Cheers!

lol. I do understand. Your insta withdrawal is it via bank directly? and to which bank if i may ask?

@bolded. I am not a novice trader or newbie. In fact am a senior in ForexFactory grin grin grin( not bragging)
Everyone knows what really good for him/her. so far you are making money and you know when to pull the trigger , good for you. After all it is not the system or time frame that matters but making profits in the long run. I have tried many systems both paid and free or self made, or team made until i discovered my self, made my own system that works with my daily work schedule, perfected it to do the job i want it to do, target around 7 pips to 30 pips per trade with initial adjustable sl of around 25pips
I am a 2mins offline charts trader as funny it may be. Yes , 2 minutes for entry. All my trading time is not up to 1 hour most of the time....hahahhah. There are many hidden things in forex i cant share for now that i have learnt overtime because it will really confuse some followers of this thread especially new guys .

2 types of traders i will summarize : first one, those who have some big money and trade with very low dd and profits- like targeting 1% ROI/m which may be in 000s of $ and second one, those that can trade with just around $100 or less than 1000$ and push it to thousands in few weeks/months with gradual compounding. I am in the second category type. if i fail , i repeat again. I am not even over trading or leveraging at all. Scalping is profitable and high rewarding [s]if and only if you have the right tools, timing, and knows what you are doing[/s].
I have been underdog on this site for years and follow this thread in toto. Sorry for the long episode but just to clarify your initial doubts on scalping. Whatever works for you stick to it, please if not yet discover your self, keep on until you get the right thing that works for you or else quit .Thats why demo is created.

My BEST RULES OF TRADING:
1. Never allow your first trade (or day) to run to loss. That means the least you should get from first set of trades is Breakeven and or profits. Not negotiable. Thats why patience, good timing and good analysis is needed prior to trade. Why must a trader trade blindly without analysis and weekly/daily strategizing? why must a trader be in the markets all the time? Why?
2. Guide your profits made in rule 1 with all what you have. Protect your trades, and profits for compounding. REPEAT ALLOVER AGAIN.

If you fail those 2 rules, and you keep loosing, trust me, you are in B-BOOK of your brokers account. Thats how it works because they know you will never make profit in forex and do all what they have to take the money from you.

This is one of my recent trades and targets sha below. Note how many trades i do in a day. Very few, either loss or profits. Thats what over trading ,greed and over leveraging traders find it difficult to maintain.

i am still learning sha

Pair : USDCHF
Time frame : 4H
Signal : LONG

Reason: Price is trapped in a falling or bearish wedge which to me is good signal to prepare
for an upside breakout. This breakout will run for 130 pips at least. I checked stoch on 4H its almost
in the oversold area. I double checked it on Daily and its the oversold area preparing to leave .All this
has giving me the edge to go long on USDCHF.

Discliamer : Viewer's discretion is advised.

Happy Pippin..
