I don't see any reasons why your profile is ineligible. However, are you sure you put the right amount of fund? You will have to create a new profile as you cannot amend a profile deemed ineligible. It is after submitting your EE profile, that you will be sent a link to register for job bank. holukayode: |

dupyshoo:Hi dupsyshoo. How were you able to update your expired passport? Having a similar challenge as my husband's pp has expired. Please advice |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by holukayode: 11:46am On Apr 08, 2016 |
dupyshoo: Thanks for the quick response. Just a couple of info. 1. We have only done ECA for our masters degree (we didn't include any other academic profile when filling the EE apart from the masters) Is it compulsory to put secondary school and first degree details ) ? 2. I put $15,000 for PoF, instead of $15,413 - ( I'm suspecting this could be the reason) and lastly , Congrats ! |

I may ask what's the total of your fund, how many members of the family plus the principal applicant, have you done your credential assessment? All this and many more could be the problem. Pls check and feed us back. Cheers holukayode: |

That is the reason why your profile is ineligible. Just create a new profile and put C$15,500. You MSc ECA is perfect. Do not waste time evaluating BSc and others. Thanks for the kind wishes holukayode: |

Since it was requested by them, a space was provided for the passport in the same section where where we uploaded all our documents after ITA. Have you been contacted to upload a new passport? If yes, then the space to upload should be in your MyCIC account. If not, just send the new passport via CSE. They will include it with your file after few weeks. ssemire: |

olurotimi1: Thanks for responding. 1. A 2-member family (applicant inclusive) 2. ECA (masters degree) done by both 3. I put a wrong Pof of $15,000 instead of $15,318 (I'd definitely correct this) 4. Note: we didn't put any details of other academic background (except for the master's degree) - Do we have to include (first Degree info and secondary school ?). I'm certain it is not necessary to do ECA this. but do we still need to put the details on EE-Profile. 5. I'm having a go at the IELTS again 30th/APR. I believe it's wise to still go ahead with the EE profile whilst I wait for the second IELTS. Many Thanks Olurotimi. |

Hello great people. You guys are doing great jobs here. My question is: Is there no Canadian visa program for people who have vocational skills like barbing? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by hartson: 8:43pm On Apr 08, 2016 |
charzyh2: The Federal skill trade visa class is for skilled trade applicants but it seems you must be in Canada practicing your trade before you can I apply in that category.I guess your skill fall under NOC C or D therefore you can't apply via EE or CEC class. |

hartson:I checked it out in their website and I need to have a job offer and write an exam in Canada. It is not encouraging. How does the Canadian start up program work? Is it okay to develop a business plan for a mobile App that can help students in classes and work? I have the business plan. Please, how do you see the Canadian start up program? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by hartson: 9:02am On Apr 09, 2016 |
charzyh2: I don't really know much about the canadian start up program.I still believe that you must be resident in canada for such to work.It will cost huge financial resources trying to get through that channel especially when one is outside of the country. To me,is likely not possible. The only way I know foreign nationals migrate is via the EE process or get admitted into a canadian school.thats all I can suggest |

While applying for EDUCATIONAL CREDENTIAL ASSESSMENT (ECA), under ECA Package, this question was asked (please choose the type of recipient from the drop down list below) and the answer options are 1. Immigration consultant/lawyer. 2. Provincial Nominee program. ...... which one should I choose? Please, somebody should help me with this |

Please @ Jesusdway: is dia any difference btw EE and PR? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by chimaXYZ: 11:20pm On Apr 09, 2016 |
kemmytino: Express Entry (EE) is a completely electronic process through which applicants apply for Permanent Residence (PR) to Canada. Permanent residency status means you can stay indefinitely in Canada so long as you do not commit any serious crime that might warrant your return to wherever you came from. I hope this helps. Cheers! 1 Like |

for lawyers who would want to assess their degrees in the future, i think IQAS(if its an accredited body by cic) has a better understanding of the Nigerian Law Degree than WES. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by kemmytino(f): 1:09am On Apr 10, 2016 |
chimaXYZ: Yes, it does. Thanks a zillion |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by Nobody: 2:34am On Apr 10, 2016 |
iphie25: Really? Does that mean that they evaluate Nigerian Law credentials as a Bachelor of Laws and not as a Bachelor's degree? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by chimaXYZ: 2:56am On Apr 10, 2016 |
NittaJ: I don't it matters whether they evaluate it as Bachelor of Laws or a Bachelor's degree. The most important point here is that it is a professional degree and so the required points would apply. Reference the definition from CIC as follows: Master's degree, OR professional degree needed to practice in a licensed profession (For “professional degree,” the degree program must have been in: medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, optometry, law, chiropractic medicine, or pharmacy And yes, they are accredited by CIC. You can get your assessment from: Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies International Credential Assessment Service of Canada World Education Services International Qualifications Assessment Service International Credential Evaluation Service Medical Council of Canada (professional body for Doctors) Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body for Pharmacists) Cheers. 1 Like |

chimaXYZ: Thanks Chima...pls do you know any lawyer who was successful...applying with WES' ECA? |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by iphie25(f): 11:37am On Apr 10, 2016 |
NittaJ: yeah they evaluate it as first professional university degree. which is better than the ambiguity that trails WES' evaluation of law degrees google detailed evaluation criteria federal republic of Nigeria IQAS, a pdf doc will show....read from page 23 i think. just that like Chima said it takes ages to complete . infact slowlybutsurely says it takes about a year....so its useless to try them. well i dont want to be bothered by this thing again o 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by JesusDWay(m): 1:29pm On Apr 10, 2016 |
iphie25: Concentrate on the Remark, the remark wasn't written for fun, it explains better the evaluation and captures the fact that its a First Professional Degree needed to practice, which is exactly how CIC stated what can count for a professional degree. Meanwhile, haven't you heard from them yet? |
