princedede: So PMB is also fooling the senators that they couldn't deny it was never in the budget. What the hell were the senators from that region doing that they couldn't fight for it to be included. Didn't you know they fought for other things which will benefit them directly? I don't get, think about this from all angles, I swear you make no sense. You are asking for copy of the part where it was originally in the budget, go and meet your senators in abuja to provide it for you. Abi NL look like NASS? 6 Likes |

Polar3: Amaechi did not scrap the Maritime Academy. There is not enough money for a new one, so he chose to expand the one at Oron. Maybe you have not noticed the country is short of Money and we can not carry out such a project. Instead if scrapping it, Amaechi decided to expand to achieve the same thing. That is brilliant and a good thing. On the other hand, the railway project is another project that will benefit the Niger Delta. The Senators decided to remove it and keep that from Lagos to Kano. If the South West Senators want it or not is not the issue here. The issue here is that we in the South South want it and our Senators were mute. Amaechi is still going on with the expansion of the Oron site to achieve the Maritime University. What were the Senators of the South South planning when they kept mute? |

Beremx: Babe, do you know what is even baffling,? These Mofos removed funding for free immunization for our babies, Birth Control for financially handicapped women & anti retrovirals as well... ... This is beyond cutting one's nose.. This is a classic case of pulling out one's teeth so one would not have to smile in a group foto with people one does not like!! The North left theirs intact & smiled & watched the South throw their baby out with the bath water.. The jokes just write themselves.. 3 Likes |

menxer:So a rail project from Calabar to Lagos is only going to impact SS economically?? Why not show how SW senators fought to keep this project in their region? What does SE have to do with this project? If S/S senator didn't fight for this project, same logic can be applied to SW senators that didn't for the project. Stop insulting our collective intelligence! We can reason without partisan lens, OK 1 Like |

Polar3: Its funny how you can deduce someone's origin from his posts on a faceless forum. A direct link to the commercial nerve centre of the country will open up business opportunities and increase economic activities. Movement of raw materials will become easier. As for the SW being a beneficiary, two wrongs can never make a right. That they kept quiet doesn't doesn't make the silence of the SS right. Now to why I included the SE. SS and SS are next door neighbours more or less. Developments in the SS will have trickle effects in the SE. You might want to ask why I'm concerned. I want development for my people. We deserve to live the good life too. These politicians that you seek to defend have accumulated so much that many generations to come in their lineage will never suffer whereas I lost an uncle on Monday because of inadequate medical care. If I have any hatred in my heart, its for those bloody thieves (both APC and PDP) who have robbed me and my family of the basics of life. And if you're one of them(political thieves), then I hate you too! |

Polar3: How do you know? There is no magic to this thing. There is not enough money in the country to carry out such projects. There is not even enough money for us to source for Petrol. As long as the same objective is achieved, then the goal is met. It is not just throwing money around but achieving goals. |
Re: Where Were Niger-Delta Senators & Reps When Lagos Calabar Rail Was Removed? by laprince(m): 7:16pm On Apr 10, 2016 |
HopeAtHand: You made sense at some point. However, in another way, the APC senators are the majority in the house. They could have opted for it to be retained in the budget. PDP, is a background voice there. Besides, the way the budget was passed by the house was very disgraceful generally. 1 Like |

tuale4u: Were Amaechi and Jonathan not fighting themselves in government when the first ever standard gauge rail line in Nigeria was started between Kaduna to Abuja, instead of from Portharcourt to Warri, or from Portharcourt to Aba to Uyo, where the first of such rail line is supposed to have been started? The Niger delta area is supposed to have been competing with Dubai in development if Nigeria is seen as one country by rest of Nigeria outside the Niger delta. That's the fact. Things have gone sour about one Nigeria, so some groups outside the Niger delta are now struggling to have the war booty to themselves while Nigeria lasts. |
Re: Where Were Niger-Delta Senators & Reps When Lagos Calabar Rail Was Removed? by TheGoodJoe(m): 7:17pm On Apr 10, 2016 |
Polar3: The Grass Project is for the Agriculture Ministry. They have their targets and goals. The Transport ministry have its targets and goals. I doubt there is any politician that have done more work in the Niger Delta than Amaechi. The Railway we are discussing now is close to Amaechi's heart. He is not the kind of person to take actions that will not benefit the Niger Delta people. Any thing contrary to that is lies from PDP to generate hatred against Amaechi. Let those PDP Senators and leaders tell us what they have done for Niger Delta more than Amaechi. See Railway project leaving the Budget, they could not see. |

TheGoodJoe: Spurious!! Amaechi can't build standard gauge rail from PH to Lagos on such most unforgiving land terrain between PH and Lagos. It's all a ruse of plans are on the pipeline for standard gauge rail line from Niger delta area to Lagos. The ruse of plans are on the pipeline shall remain while standard gauge rail lines are completed in to join the north and the southwest regions many decades to come. East-West road from Niger delta area to Lagos which was started on an unforgiving terrain can't be competed many decades after it was started, talk less a standard gauge rail line on the same terrain. Nigeria is full of deceptions and tricks. 1 Like |

emorse:I guess OP targeted folks like you by blaming PDP instead of blaming APC and PDP and you fell for it hook line and sinker. He projected a false narrative that GMB wanted to do this for your region while your senators rejected when in fact other senators were involved. Sen Goje, APC is the chairman of appropriation. There are more APC senators in the house than PDP, how come APC didn't convince fellow members to vote for it? 1 Like |

amakenny: So the Solution is to allow the Lagos-kano continue and not ours. Amaechi gave a timeline. You can complain after the timeline but for now, sign it and start. The Senators are not the experts to decide that. |
