Happy mothering Sunday to all mothers. Congrats to those that have put to bed and happy bumping to the pregnant ones. Please I have a question. I was treated for malaria at 17weeks with lumartem. I was supposed to take 1PT at 20weeks but my doctor said I should wait until my next appointment which is on the 12th of April ( would be 24weeks + 4days then). I want to know if its advisable or safe to take the IPT? Please mama should answer me. I have asked before but only cherrymum answered me. Thanks.

Yes, u can take d IPT as ur Dr said. As long as it b4 36wks, its safe. Of course, first dose shld usu b taken by d tym u feel kicks

The mama dt talked abt spotting, please if the progesterone is nt working, let ur doc try hcg pregnyl injections once a week for u, progesterone never worked for me with my 2 losses. This hcg is wt I used till 14 weeks frm week 5. I just stopped it and fear dey catch me but I kno my God has taken charge. so far God has been faithful. U can google hcg injections for first trimester support . I found this out my self n told my doc abt it. Now I give God all d praise. Hoping 2nd trimester will be a smooth and supernatural journey for me.

Thank God my prenancy progressed with little or no problem. When I got to 22weeks , fear of the unknown engulfed me but God saw me thru.

At 37 weeks and 5days 22/3/16 trace of protein was found on my urine. I was asked to stay on admission which i declined and reported to my e- family. I was tongue lashed and given few lashes of koboko (Chiwendym). I went back on the 24/3/16 and did the text I was asked to do except for one called OGTT because there was no doctor to mix the glucose for me.

On saturday 26/3/16 which is my antenatal day in the private hospital, i still went and the trace of protein had disappeared but my BP was on the high side 150/90. The doctor said he will not allow me go into Labour with such BP that I should come for an elective cs on the 28th March 2016. I was hell scared and immediately called my husband who came to the hospital immediately and we both went inn to see the doctor. The doctor succeeded in convincing my husband. Told him how important and precious the baby is but i was not convinced at all. Pls don't blame me because Chiwendym birth story still scares me up till date. Couple with the fact we had similar case.

We went to ask how much the whole procedure will cost and we were told N400k. My husband said no problem in as much as the baby and I are alive. We both came to a conclusion that I will have the Cs done on easter Monday. When i got home my mind was not at rest because i know private hospitals has a way of extorting money from patients. Immediately i called kaffy and told her and she asked me to come to Luth ASAP if I can. I parked few of my baby things and hanlele i was on my way to Luth. My husband asked me to wait till the next day because it was already late(some mins passed 7pm) i said no.

Madam why are you here? Asked the nurse i met at the labour ward. My BP is rising I said. How did you know she asked again, in a private hospital i answered. I was admitted and my vitals taken still my BP was high 150/100. Madam who came with you asked the doctor that came to see me, no body i answered. You mean no one came with you the doctor repeated. My husband will come in the morning i replied. I didnt ask my husband to come because i was thinking that once i get there, they will find a way to bring down my BP and that's all. The time was now 11:30pm. You have to call somebody to come because we are placing you on drugs and somebody has to buy them.

Since you are due at 38 weeks and 3days we have to ripen your cervix and get you induced. No problem I said. My husband came some minutes passed 12am and bought all the drugs prescribed. Seems the doctor slept off because no one came to fix the catheter that night only for them to come in the morning to ask why I did not buy the drugs. They are on the table i answered. The catheter was fixed on easter Sunday at about 7am.

After one hour i was 3cm dialated and my BP was 160/80 still high. Kaffy came that morning to see me. She gave me all the encouragement there was. After discussing with the nurse and doctors she came Back and told me that if at the end of the day the doctors opt for cs, that I should accept. Then i knew something was wrong and prayed for the will of God to be done. As soon as she left, the doctors and nurses came inn and one of them told me point blank that I should sign for a CS. That there is a possibility of going into crisis if am allowed to have a virginal delivery with the rate my BP was going. They had the catheter removed.

My husband signed all the necessary documents While we waited for them to be ready. At 8pm they were still waiting for blood from the blood bank. I was wheeled into the theater at about 8:15pm. Still very scared, i memorized psalm repeatedly " Even though I walk through the shadow of death, I fear no evil because I know my God is with me"

I was given a painless injection at the back and not up to 5mins, i started feeling numbness at my feet then to my thighs. Still wondering what's next, the doctor asked for a blade. Blade!!! While am still awake? I was hell scared while still memorizing psalm. I knew when the doctor cut me open but i didn't feel any pain. Could this be real? I imagined. 45 Minutes later at exactly 9pm easter sunday I heard the cry of my baby boy weighing 3.65kg. Me a mother! I cried Tears of joy. Madam are you feeling any pain? No! I answered. Why are you crying? Tear of joy answered one of the nurses. They showed my baby to me. What's the sex? asked the nurse. A boy! I answered and gave my baby a kiss.

If this is what cs is all about, i will do it again and again in as much as my baby and I are safe. It was painless. The next day I stold up, cleaned my self up, walked to the door. My husband asked shocked. If I didn't show or tell you it was CS, you will never know. We paid less than 100k for the procedure.

It is well with both of you. Their schemes wont work. I'm also sometimes scared of this that Lamide's dad might forcefully come to take her from me. But I console myself with the fact that the other women are with their kids and he hasn't taken them so why would he come take mine. Lamide is the reason I'm alive o nobody should use her to play rough with me o. I will commit murder and go to jail o.

I started feeling sum strong contraction on march 15 but d midwife said it nt tym yet so, on march 28 around 5:30 in morning after d fajir prayer d contraction started again. at 1st i take it 4 a joke but i later realise dis is more dan serious my DH started suspecting me but i just av to pretend or else he wont go to work. i was waiting 4 my water to broke but 4 wie no water oo just a tick discharge lyk cartarh coming out continously but d pain is nt much to bear. so, around quater to 1:00 i went to d midwife house nd she check me again m 7cm already so she ask me to go bring our bag. by 2:30pm m fully dilated but she said i shud b praying dat my baby is big at 3:45pm my water broke nd i feel lyk peeing. lo nd behold it was my baby he came out weighing 4.1kg but i tank God dis tym tear tear no dey lyk d 1st one. may GOD help d pushing mamas too

I did jadelle arm implant in general hospital, later i went back to complain dat one of d implants has been expelled out. D nurse just removed one and threw it away. She told me that instead of carrying it for 3years, i will carry it for 2years. i did it in March this year. I just want know if this is right. Wil the one remaining implant be active for two years? thanks

good afternoon to all the senior mama's, ftms and newbies....

please i have an issue bothering my mind all these while. I am 29wks 5days preggy now and i am just 5 months at my work place. i wouldn't even know why they decided to employ me against all protocols because, before being given employment letter, i had to go through some tests; pregnancy test inclusive, and i was so scared i might not be taken cuz most times, they don't employ pregnant ladies. i don't just know what happened, i was called to come and take the employment letter. now, i am 7months gone but 5months old at work, i have been finding it difficult to approach my unit head for a day off to be able to attend ANC at govt. hospital because she is just very strict, and did not even take it likely with me during ms though i didn't tell her.

The issue is, I am not comfortable with the private hospital i am using, i only registered there cuz its close to my place and i can attend on saturdays. you won't bliv i have never done any urine test before...all these tests sounds strange to me except ultrasound scan though my BP have always been 90/60 or 50. but i really wish i could be given a day off in a week to attend ANC at govt. hospital. how possible do you think this is being just 5months old and still on probation?

Please i need your views and what i can do.

this God is a miraculous God, some ppl will open mouth and say God doesn't exist, nne'm i thank God for you, 11yrs? I showed my dh ur bs story, he was shocked, i indirectly ask him, God forbid i didnt give u a child 4 11yrs what will u do, he just open mouth dey look me, this is just d beginning, from now till dec another bundle of blessings are coming, this time na 3 oo, so be ready


My friend called me dis early morning was crying, i ask her why is she crying, she said her husband doesn't eat her food again they just got married last month, i ask her why ur husband rejecting ur food, she said her husband has been asking her why she dont want to conceive, they met each other last yr dec and they have been meeting since then, before they finally got married last month, instead to find solutions he is rejecting her food, she said he doesn't talk to her again,now the girl is in pains, but is it not early for the man to start complaining?
