Medical Mcqs & Short Answer Questions by Thewhizzkid1(m): 9:26am On Apr 07, 2016
Hi all. The purpose of this thread is to create an interactive session of questions and answers which will help medical students in their course of study. Sometimes, reading can be really booooriing. I believe this will make our reading more interesting and effective. Please little bit of fun should be added and no "bashing"!!!!
This thread is for basic medical sciences only. But anyway, our ogas from the clinicals are also welcome.
So, let the fun begin.
I start!!
1. List the arteries that take part in the scapular anastomosis.
2. List the cutaneous nerves of the upper limb which are not branches of the brachial plexus.
3. List four areas of the body where we can find hyaline cartilage.
4. What is d function of satellite cells in muscle tissue.
5. How would u identify a person with Erb's paralysis?
6. Fracture of the surgical neck of humerus affects which movements of the arm.
7. What position is safest for administration of injection in the gluteal region and why?
8. List the boundaries of the femoral ring.
9. List the contents of the femoral triangle from lateral to medial. Which of these contents are covered by the femoral sheath.
10. Cerebrosides are composed of _________?
11. Large accumulation of shingomyelin in brain, liver and spleen may occur in people suffering from ___________?
12. List the nerves that make up the craniosacral outflow(parasympathetic nervous system)

For that number 2, I meant which cutaneous nerves of the upper limb are not branches of the brachial plexus (whether direct or indirect). Answer is subclavicular nerve and intercostobrachial nerve. It seems I didn't put the question in the right manner. For the Erb's paralysis, the flexion at the wrist is only slight. So, it should be "slight flexion at the wrist".
The rest are correct. I raise hand for u o. "Docke".
