Falling in love yano. I've never had that experience but I'd like a chic a lot a few years ago and the soundtrack to that was Akon's "nobody wanna see us together". That was the turning point of my life and something I'll cherish. It definitely made me grow subconsciously and gave me an in depth view/understanding of how women feel when they're crazy in love and why always try ya best possible to the protect that love, rather than take advantage of it.

It's all about respecting those who're in luv, rather than take advantage of them.
Perfect words you've got here bro ... wink Thumbs up ... I just took that down !

hmmmm...methinks any thug whose eyes get wet because of some love tune should have his thug status withdrawn indefinitely and should be heavily surcharged for an attempt to soil the esteemed thug clan. angry

I've since deleted the song though. I'm already an emotional person; I can't afford peddling something as moving as that so I don't slit my wrists in a fit of emotional turmoil cry cry. That's why I settle for party jams day in, day out.

But if you're a lyrics freak, it don't get better than that song.

Lol.

It takes more effort to hold back a tear than to let it go. And at the end of the day, we're all human, regardless of the front/braggadocio we put up. Most times we only put up this front to hide our weaknesses and a lot of things we lack.

Also, some tunes just hit you a certain way the first time you hear them and for a lifetime, certain aspect of the lyrics will always sing in ya head. Or you might be with someone you really love (not necessarily ya chic - it might ya friends or family) and care about the first time you heard the tune and, the relationship isn't like it used to be or the person is not here anymore. Evidently, whenever you hear the tune, you'll always feel a certain way and it might lead to tears trickling down ya cheeks. Shedding one or two tears isn't the same as crying profusely...it's just about being human.

For example: I can't remember the name of the person who sang the tune, but I remember one of the theme songs of Sydney Olympics had "never let nothing hold you down" as part of the chorus and sometimes that line sings in my head. Bear in mind that I was a kid when I heard it. There was a time I heard that tune somewhere and boom, straight-away, I was sober in reflection about how far I've come from there to now. The France 98 theme song by Axelle Red and Youssou N'Dour is another and I don't even understand French or what they're talking about. Then you've Tupac's "who do you believe in" and "White man's world"...Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby" (this is one of my favourite tunes ever cos I used to run around as a kid when I used to listen to it and no other tune makes me remember my childhood better than this tune lool)...Mario's "Just a friend", "Braid my hair", and "Let me love you"...Whitney Houston's "My Love Is Your Love"... Sade's "By your side"...Jaheim's "Put that woman first"...Fabolous and Tamia's "So into you"...Toni Braxton's "He wasn't man enough" (this one here represents all the banter I used to have with my female cousins growing up and how I used to cripwalk, with everyone laughing lol) etc. Too many to name, these are the ones I can remember off top.

Music heals and it takes you to a different realm. And whatever emotion you get off it - you just got to let it out and be human. grin

Music is part of me. I listen to all kinds of tunes all the time, regardless of the genre, though I'm more into hip-hop. It heals.

I don't even care about the language, as long as the melody is nice. Carlos Santana, Youssou N'Dour, Swedish artists etc.. grin

ahaha cheesy Now that's a lot! You've obviously had an appreciable number of enviable relationships. Why did I use to think you were the Nigerian pìmp ambassador to the UK Must have had something to do with your unknighted handle--all the talk about hitting on hoes and thirsty broads wink. Anyways, its nice meeting this homely part of you.

As for the songs you mentioned, well I can relate with a lot of those songs that were a fad during a relationship coming back to haunt you after the relationship is over. Especially in a Nigerian setting where an artiste innocently singing a song titled after his beau(maybe obianuju or Ifunanya), then you start recollecting some bad ass relationship you had with some Ifunanya chic 13 years back and before you know it, you're inconsolably reeling on the bare floor shedding hot tears.

So to avoid that, I promptly delete all songs that have anything to do with an old flame. Same reason I don't keep songs with fewer BPM on my phone except very few with a magnetic melody--one or two contemporary songs (Yanni), Dildø Dido etc and Flavor (on days he observes his own five minutes of sanity smiley). Life's too short jare. The only materials I jealously curate are pictures we took (only while smiling wink) and happy memories we shared; the only thing that usually survives all the lies told under the inebriation of youthful lusts grin. Come be like I dey convert music thread to romance. Shymexx bye bye! cheesy
