Russian Next-Gen 100-Ton Nuclear Missile Could Be Test-Fired By 2017, Says Russian News Wire
.
Russia's Sarmat ICBM would replace the SS-18 SATAN intercontinental ballistic missile seen here near Pervomaysk, Ukraine.
(image below).Russia’s Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile is set for a drop test this year and a test launch within a year and a half of the drop test, Russian defense sources told ITAR-TASS on Thursday. The new missile is set to replace the Cold-War era R-36 missile, nicknamed “SS-18 Satan” by NATO, which is still the world’s largest intercontinental ballistic missile ever made.
Russian technicians will conduct a “drop test” at some point this year to measure the missile’s lift and proper evolution through its launch stages before they conduct a full test launch, provided the missile performs. The missile is expected to enter service in 2020.
The Sarmat could deliver up to 10 heavy nuclear warheads or 15 medium warheads at targets up to 6,200 miles away, according to the Nuclear Threat Initiative. The missile would carry the warheads into suborbital flight, at which point they would separate and hit independent targets. It can reportedly “flying over the North and South Poles” and “would be capable of overcoming almost any missile defense system,” according to Pravda.
While the U.S. and Russia made strides in nuclear missile reductions following the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991, the major treaties signed like the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) and the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons do not prevent nuclear states from replacing or upgrading their arsenals. START set a total limit for the number of warheads each state can have and the NPT forbids states from spreading weapons technologies to other, non-recognized nuclear states.
The U.S. has plans to keep their Minuteman III ballistic missiles in service through 2030 with a series of upgrades, but the Air Force has voiced it wants to develop a new system. Both the Sarmat and its Satan predecessor are more powerful than the Minuteman. The Air Force has awarded contractors upward of $50 million to develop new guidance systems and other upgrades to the Minuteman III, according to the Great Falls Tribune.
Earlier this week, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Ragozin claimedthat the U.S. could not defend against Russia’s nuclear arsenal, although he did not specify what missile technology he was referring to.

Two very important points to be noted in this write-up.

fineguy11:

1.) It can reportedly “flying over the North and South Poles” and “would be capable of overcoming almost any missile defense system,” according to Pravda.

2.) Both the Sarmat and its Satan predecessor are more powerful than the Minuteman.

Imagine 6 Russian Sarmat Missiles launched at the Amerikan East & West coasts without any counter measures stopping them? grin

I have really been wondering what made NATO to give that beautiful deterrence R-36 missile, SATAN ?
Any idea ?
Since the crook missionaries came to Nigeria, they turned their Satan in their Bible to Esu. And has since called or reffer to Esu as Satan.
The simple truth is Esu is not Satan and has never been.. Esu is one of Eleduare's law Enforcer or the first Eledumare's Law Enforcer that helped Ifa chief priest and Prietesses to interprete Ifa verses... (Odu Ifa)

The missionaries' move was to stop the local from believing in their own and accepting the foreign religious ideologies which was successful..
But any idea why NATO decided to name the R-36 Satan ??

Actually I don't think that Russia has the defense system that can keep American ICBM at bay only for me to hear someone saying Russia would jam incoming ICBM outta sky.

Mazeltov - if Russia could shut down crimea & syria with an impenetrable bubble through Kret electronic systems, don't fvcking underestimate Mother Russia's electronic warfare capabilities.

Russian Jamming System Blocks All NATO Electronics Inside Bubble 600 Km in Diameter over Syria

The technology in question seems similar to the KRET Richag-AV system, although it apparently functions on a larger scale. A tactical version of this system was presented to journalists in the Russian city of Back in April 2015. As Sputnik reported then:

“The Richag-AV system, mounted on the Mi-8MTPR1 (a variant of the Mi-8MTB5-1 helicopter) is said to have no global equivalent. Its electronic countermeasures system is designed to jam radar, sonar and other detection systems in the aims of defending aircraft, helicopters, drones, ground and naval forces against air-to-air and surface-to-air defense systems within a radius of several hundred kilometers.

It can be mounted on units from any branch of the armed forces, including helicopters and airplanes, as well as ground and ship-based forces. The Mi8-MTPR1-based Richag-AV platform, using multi-beam antenna arrays with DRFM technology, is designed to actively jam and thus ‘blind’ radar systems in order to defend against radio-electronic guided weapons systems. In a combat situation, the system would operate as part of an aviation shock attack group aimed at breaking through virtually any defense system, blinding everything up to and including the US MIM-104 ‘Patriot’ anti-aircraft missile system.”[i]

NATO supreme commander and US Air Force General Philip Breedlove was probably talking about this new KRET system when he addressed the German Marshall Fund on Monday, September 28. Here Breedlove had warned that Russia was creating an “A2/AD bubble” over the Syrian coast, and the eastern Mediterranean. A2/AD is the abbreviation for anti-access and area denial. Breedlove pointed out that Russia has already established such bubbles over the Baltic Sea at the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, and also over the Crimea and the black Sea. grin

‘While Russia’s stated goal in moving into Syria is to fight the Islamic State, NATO’s top commander believes Russia’s new presence includes the first pieces of an intricate layer of defensive systems deployed to hinder U.S. and coalition operations in the region.

“As we see the very capable air defense [systems] beginning to show up in Syria, we’re a little worried about another A2/AD bubble being created in the eastern Mediterranean,” said Breedlove to an audience at the German Marshall Fund Monday. A2/AD stands for anti-access/area denial.

During the early stages of warfare, A2/AD could have been a moat around a castle, or spikes dug into the ground—anything to keep the enemy off a certain swathe of territory. In the 21st century, however, A2/AD is a combination of systems such as surface-to-air missile batteries and anti-ship missiles deployed to prevent forces from entering or traversing a certain area—from land, air or sea.

According to Breedlove, the introduction of an A2/AD bubble in Syria would be Russia’s third denial zone around Europe. The first and oldest he said, was in the Baltics where the Russian naval base in Kaliningrad has robust anti-air capabilities. The second zone—originating from Russian-occupied Crimea—covers the Black Sea. “Russia has developed a very strong A2/AD capability in the Black Sea,” said Breedlove. “Essentially their [anti-ship] cruise missiles range the entire Black Sea, and their air defense missiles range about 40 to 50 percent of the Black Sea.”

Thank you a lot for this line.. Now this is the real gig.. anti-access/area-denial (A2/AD) arial denial space or bubble could be jammed with more powerful deflecting electronic warfare seen on T90 and this is what will deceive the in comming missile or trident. Trident will be lost here. Now Pentagon is looking for who can break the arial denial code and re-enforce its own. lol

They correctly named it Satan because, there was no ICBM like it then, and even now. Its capabilities are just too scary in so much that the only meaningful tag that can be associated with it, is Satan, being the chief and the most wicked of all the demons.

Its anyone still wondering why the Id1ots, inter alia, called for the Geneva peace table? Russia's EW is second to none. Even a US General, Harris, confessed to this, and he unashamedly stated that they were in Ukraine, not to help the Ukro canon folders in the Donbass frontlines, but actually, to learn from the Ukrainians how Russia EW systems works. At the end of the day, the General confessed that he had not seen anything like it. Propaganda just can't fool everyone all the time.

There is no Jester anywhere. Russia's early warning systems varies in proportions. In addition to the dedicated early-warning sat systems, the Don-2N radar of the Moscow missile defense system and the Dunay-3U radar near Chekhov are also used for early-warning and space surveillance. So, it was never a real problem. Not to mentioned that Russia has already launched a new early warning system satellite called EKS-1 (EKS No.1) early on Tuesday, November 17, 2015. The launch of the satellite was conducted by the Soyuz 2-1B rocket with a Fregat-M upper stage, launching from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in northern Russia, with a T-0 of 06:34 UTC.
The sat is already functioning.

By this claim, some folks wants to make it appear like, Russia no longer have early warning system - space based or ground based. It is only a deluded fellow that would believe a sophisticated technological power house like Russia doesn't have its skies covered or space activities elsewhere being watched. In fact, Russia has been launching space capabilities that is causing Pentagon to wail like a defrauded prostitute. Whatever the 2013 launched Kosmos-2491 was, it wasn’t some innocuous communications satellite. And over the next year and a half, Russia launched two more of the mysterious, maneuvering spacecraft, each time sneaking it into orbit as part of a routine commsat launch.
No one outside the Russian government, and perhaps the Pentagon, knows for sure what Kosmos-2491, -2499, and -2504 are for. But it’s clear enough what the three mystery sats could do, in theory. Zipping across orbital planes hundreds of thousands of feet above Earth, the nimble little spacecraft—which are apparently the size of a mini-refrigerator—are able to get really close to other satellites. Close as in a few dozen feet away. I don't even need to remind here that the wicked Bear has ''snapped'' and released footages of top US secret satellites... cheesy

In essence, the Bear have little worry over the skies above, while watching what goes on in space else where. They're always there on the same footing, if not always a step ahead.

Fear Russia!

Even the US space program is also dependent on Russian rocket engines. How is it possible that Russia would be so lacking in radar capabilities? As usual your ignorance is in fully display.

The US space program use Russian rockets because they are cheaper. there is a difference between a rocket that delivers a satellite etc to space and the satellite itself. If you have a delivery vehicle (the rocket) does that translate to having the latest satellite technology or the funds to build one that you will put on it?

Rockets can be used once, hence the reason why it is a better idea to buy the cheapest one ( SpaceX successfully tested a reusable rocket already putting the US in the forefront of rocket technology anyway so there is no competition there)

Lol! See dis wan...

Is Amerika making use of Russian rocket engines or not?

Are Russian spacecrafts transporting astronauts and cosmonauts (and supplies) to the ISS?

Does a pragmatic company (or country) go for cheaper but yet reliable and rugged options to increase profitability (or save operational cost)?

Does cheaper necessarily mean less reliable or does it in some cases (like the Russian one) mean ingenuity and resourcefulness? An Example is, is the super duper expensive but junk worthy F-35 better than the considerably cheaper yet formidable and effective SU-35 for instance?

You can see that it's you that's ignorant?

Don't lash out at me again cos you are butt-hurt that the Donald Duck keeps getting hopelessly buzzed brazenly by skillful Russian pilots and since this isn't some backwater 3rd world country that you can bomb at will, then putting your faith in your increasingly toothless sanctions.

Common sense is usually not common for cranks. The simple question i asked you

How does the use of a delivery vehicle (rocket) equals parity in satellite technology?. No one is talking about how reliable Russian rockets are. The subject is about satellites not how the satellites gets into space.

What is the point of buzzing a warship when you wont attack it. If the drunk pilots were so brave they should have opened fire and see if they would return home.

Hahahaha! Since we are name calling now, can I call you a War Wh0re? Seeing that you have proclaimed your love for war and destruction. I don't blame you though. That's what keeps food on your table lest you be rendered redundant and kicked off that military base in Guam.

True, delivery vehicles have no relation to satellite technology. That is very obvious and shouldn't a ground breaking revelation but what I do find amusing is that you think that I, Nairaminted, is equating the two. I was only pointing out that that Russian prowess which you sought to discredit with that latest piece of propaganda is still very much alive and flourishing so much so that even Amerikans are dependent on Russia for aspects on their space program.

I hope you got the explanation above? Cos I won't break it down any further.

About those drunk pilots, lol, what else do you expect? They after all fly for the "Vodka Air Force" don't they? Thy were probably too drunk to find the trigger buttons.

You can call me whatever you feel like. I do not care and it is up to you. This is a faceless forum. You shouldn't be too worried about my career as long as i am not sending you messages asking you for money/help. You should be more concerned about improving urs honestly

If you are not equating the two. do you want to explain this line

Even the US space program is also dependent on Russian rocket engines. How is it possible that Russia would be so lacking in radar capabilities?

It is nice to see you are backtracking thou. Cranks are hopeless

By the way, Wh0re sounds feminine. You were playing with the idea that i was a guy few days ago. changed your mind already?

Aaawwwwww ... I was only teasing you my cherry... Damn, I need to improve on the delivery of my "jokes"...
And I can see that it's important to you that everyone knows you are female. Don't worry, I believe you...

Dear Nairalanders, Missy89 is female! Should anyone come on here and run their mouth, we shall bomb such a person to oblivion...

Rockets can be used once, hence the reason why it is a better idea to buy the cheapest one ( SpaceX successfully tested a reusable rocket already putting the US in the forefront of rocket technology anyway so there is no competition there)
..putting the US in the forefront of rocket technology...grin grin.. Okay o! grin

I love it when you copy and paste gibberish without fully understanding what you are posting

You do know that the Russian EKS program that will replace the hopelessly outdated OKO program need at least 5-6 satellites to be fully operational right?

Yes...and you expect the Russians to tell you what has been a top secret, eh? Is the EKS currently functional or not? Are you also aware, as reported, that a single Tundra sattelite can cover and replaced the work of 6 old generational sattelites?

it is not fully functional. the secrecy narrative makes no sense. Few minutes ago you were saying something else. There is no early warning system that will have just one sat. it is usually a constellation (4 or more most times). you show know this

Yea.. And by this, you believe that the Bear currently have no early warning system in place?

On the capabilities of the sat, the whole thing is shrouded in secrecy, there is no denying that. Information about the launches from the Plesetsk Comodrome is classified. In 2015, the Aerospace Forces launched a total of 21 space sats meant for different purposes, and all of them cruxified to the cross of secrets. Even this increasing secrecy has got Pentagon worried.

So you are basing your argument on conjectures and speculations Since you dont know for a fact that it exists ?

I asked you a question: did Russia have en early warning system right now or not? Because its clear that the whole thing is shrouded in mystery..

Your question has been answered already.

There wont be a fully functional one till 2018. read my previous posts. You cant argue against that by telling me there is one but it is secret. doesn't make sense.

Ok. By this you mean; if say a nuclear weapon is launched right now, Moscow won't be able to detect it early enough? Or...?

not fully functional doesn't mean it is not there. It just wont be effective if there is a full scale nuclear war ( which is not going to happen anytime soon) It can only be fully operational if the remaining EKS sats go on space. at this point there are still in development

As a matter of fact that did not change anything about you. Only a very few times what you claimed happened and I gave you details of how it happened. Only the FINs here is different. If you don't go against the will or its doctrine you are are safe. It does not change the fact that you are just a twister either paid or not. You have been countered on so many occasions and im loving the show.

Again facts on ground has it that Russia hardly attack first..Today's Russia again, Today's Russia will never attack you first. You just launch a massive attack first and see the end Result. By the way stop living in the past. You are too archaic to even argue with. And this attack does not only mean militariliy.. Russia is winning at all fronts. Be it information war front, it's countering the empire of lies itself. Or even the Economic front? It has created BRICS/EURASIA(SCO) a strong alternative to the hegemon.

What else ? You speak of sanctions... You must be living in the past. Ode, Oloriburuku of the 21st century. Omo Ale jati jati, akotileta. Pls grow up plus for your information stupidity and ignorance is in your blood cells. I wonder how you sleep at night. Your likes wash Toilet in UK and wash plates in McDonalds. Slave Bastard.. I am even suspecting your are not a Nigerian. Cos a Nigerian can never be this Omo Ale..Never..
I know that ValerianSteel idlot is not a Nigerian..
