Meaning? The OP deserve more than he got. The instruction was very clear enough.. They should vacate the school premises. What is he still doing there? Don't he have a home? Just wait some more minutes, they are coming back for u.

You have been told to go, go home! Or you don't have a home. Ur stay there is illegal. And anything illegal abinitio is illegal in its entity. Stay, until something bad happens to you, then you will know that Nigeria has no honour for her fallen heroes let alone you.

I think it's wrong to ask students to leave the hostels within, what - 12hrs? Do you know how far some have to travel? And sometimes all you have on you is N500. Sometimes not even that much. Where should they go within such a short space of time? A regular Naija Student's life is planned to the last N50, this kind of unplanned situation can throw one for loop. With this, the school authority is just shelving their responsibility and encouraging some young people to engage in 'rush hustle' to get tp fare to go home.

I live in PH, and I went to Zx; God knows how horrible it was whenever we were asked to leave the hostels before the end of the day, chasing us with tear gas like we're criminals. Guys with off-K accommodation will be arranging their pillows for their toastees. And PH is just filled with people ready to take advantage.

May God see them all safely to their respective homes.

Am not justifying what the army did was right but students at times are stubborn. You went to riot and it turned violent, what do you expect from the school management? Benue state university protested for similar scenario yet I didn't hear of any violence why will Uniport be different? they sent a circular that you .should vacate the hostel giving the deadline why should you wait till it expires before leaving? It would be understandable.that there's no place to lay off but your should have it's at the back of your mind that you caused it. The university management has a share in the blame too for the so called increment. They need to grant press briefing about this whole saga ..I only pity the students because you would still pay indirectly or directly

Early this morning we woke up in our hostels only to see some army guys that stormed into our hostel and started beating us. They even took some female students to the convocation arena. What have we done to deserve this

I hear people say "why did they choose to stay behind" but why don't we reason straight anymore?the issue is this:no military personnel has the right to molest a civilian this way for Christ sake,a woman was beaten to coma last month in Edo state by military men and I hear women say why should she look for trouble?same people who want gender equality..pathetic zoo of a nation that doesn't recognize humanity.it's only animals that should be forced into actions not humans.Africans want the white skinned not no see us as animals while we keep treating ourselves as one.So please military men, leave prosecution for the necessary agencies,we've got some boko haram cunts to kill.

Shameful from a lady. I wonder were we miss character and virtue in this country. Both leader and followers are Damn right wicked. A protest that happened yesterday, U gave them till 6pm to leave as if it's a day secondary school were d children leave close to d school. There are students that are from Maiduguri there with no relation in PH. some may not even have money on them as its an emergency. What happened to giving them till 12noon d next day. When Don Baridam was VC that was his norm, cos he knows all these logistics. Coming from a lady it's a shame and if those in the governing council are your parents or relatives don't join multitude to do evil. Shame on Uniport for collecting 23k for original certificate. And shame on u for supporting them.

Don't mind the students? Why will you carry arms to a peaceful protest? Why will you destroy private cars of taxi drivers?

Oh, sorry dear. But that is the standard applied practice any time such rancour occurs in higher institutions. And that's one side effect of protests. Once violent protests erupt, the next thing is: immediate home going, with no wasting of time, for security reasons. Whoever stays is unaccountable for. The idea of protest may be good but the exuberance of the youth/students in such a case may not be contained- hence, peaceful protest tends to violence. Am not indifferent to the students' plight however, it is wiser to be alive and recount the ordeal than to be nonchalant and die.

Op, you better go home. Don't ever let an Hausa soldier slap you. It can cause you colour blindness.

They upload better slap on your face and anytime you see camouflage colour, your eyes start dropping water involuntarily.

Walai! Their slap no be here grin. You just reminded me of a Police women
at the Garki Police Station way in the late 90's with very! very!! thick palms called OC Slap; if there is the need to "re-scan" the brain of any suspect, she is always handy, the officer is a confirmed slap frick. Guys leave the campus and go and save yourselves further harassment.

They have friends who stay off campus and can squat with them. The students have already destroyed public and private property and were threatening to burn more as night falls. So asking them to leave the campus latest 6pm was very in order but UNIPORT students never take any deadline seriously. They always want to make excuse.

What a shame! I'm truly mortified by the insensitivity in d comments of so called Nigerians.

See d way so called adults are holding brief for the shameless NA on dis dia barbaric act. Condemn d act FIRST!! Gademmit! don't give an excuse for them.

Shey when they go home the increment in dia fees would be dropped??

It's pathetic to know that whenever you're trouble ur fellow Nigerians don't lend you a helping hand or voice. Their school fees was hiked, what has any Nigerian done in solidarity for them.

There's something you need to understand about protests, not everyone who joins knows nor cares what the cause is, some street urchins be just passing and see a protest. They join in only to start misbehaving.
