You'd think there was an "in how many minutes can you put 3 past united" competition in north London.

@bolded that's what I'm talking about. He was cool on the ball and defended well. He only had to improve from there. There was a time Smalling gets jittery whenever he's with the ball in the half-line. He seems to be upping his game and overcoming that fear.

You can't compare Rojo and Evra with McNair. Haba.
Cos McNair was a midfielder, I haven't seen much of CB abilities/potential in him. He should be loaned out to improve though.

This is the kind of thing assnal fans celebrate and you would wonder why they haven't won the league for more than a decade now.

Watch even as their fellow London club, chelsea, come from their low position and lift the trophy before them.

I think it was deliberate to prevent Young from going to his natural left wing where he does damage. If he had performed there, there would be problem of selection for the manager. And Mephis would go to third choice in that position.

This is probably the wackest excuse yet.

So now it's a case of 'Supply'.

I guess the 16 other players who have more goals than Martial in the league this season all have 'Ozil et others' to feed them..

So you're saying the team a player plays in, the position he plays in in that team, and his coach's tactics has no effect on his output?

Answers on a postcard please.

Heard he's been trialed in the holding midfield role in utd's U21 games plus his country coach sees him more as a midfielder. So he might end up in midfield anyway.

There are at least 17 players who have outscored Martial in the league this season

The vast majority of them play in teams below United on the log. Several of them are midfielders.

I'm guessing all of these players have better managers, better tactics, and Ozil to supply the assists

Georgino Wijnaldum for example, occasionally plays in the pivot, but mostly on the same left wing as Martial, mostly under a rubbish manager who has now been sacked, for a team that is 19th on the log...

He still has more goals and assists than the new Henry...

So A manager who has been sacked for leaving his team 19th on the table is better than a manager whose team is 5th?

That make sense to you?

What about the managers on the 5th, 6th and 7th position on the log? I was referring majorly to those majorly, not the worst of the lot like you quickly shamelessly assumed.

My main point is that LvG is a crazy person. He is the problem with the team. Utd may scale through home matches but away they're terrible. That's a reflection on the coach, not Martial or anyone else. How would Giroud or Costa fare in this current Utd team with LvG as boss?
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by chrisley024(m): 4:40pm On Apr 12, 2016
Manchester United's value has fallen by more than £400m since the start of the season.

United's share price on the New York stock exchange was $18.37 (£12.84) when they kicked off the season with a 1-0 win against Tottenham last August.

Twenty four hours after the return fixture on Sunday, a 3-0 defeat at White Hart Lane, the share price had fallen by 25 per cent to $13.83 (£9.67).

At the start of the season United's market capitalisation was £2bn. On Monday night it had fallen by £412m to £1.58bn.

Since Louis van Gaal started work as manager in the summer of 2014 almost a billion dollars has been wiped off the value of the club.

On 22 July 2015, United had a market capitalisation of £2.23bn. On Monday night it was down £650m to £1.58bn.

United's poor performance in this season's Champions League and problems qualifying for the next season's competition are having a significant impact on the share price.

Dropping out of the Champions League after losing to Wolfsburg in December caused the share price to fall by five per cent to $17.82 (£12.45). It has continued to fall as United have struggled to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League.

In February, the share price fell below the 2012 $14 (£9.78) flotation level for the first time. In the same month United announced a record quarterly profit of £18.6m.

Van Gaal is working!

My friend I've given you an example of a player who also plays on the flanks, who is in a team worse off than united, playing with team mates far worse than Martial is, and under a manager far worse than LVG....yet he OUT PERFORMED Martial.

That's the summary destruction of your wack excuse.

A player in a relegation battling team has outperformed Martial.

Costa was facing relegation under Mourinho and has still outperformed Martial. Giroud has been riding the bench for months now...and still has more goals and assists than Martial. Troy Deeney has more goals/assists than Martial. Marko Arnautovic has more goals/assists than Martial. Jermain Defoe has more goals/assists than Martial

I don't understand how Manager, Tactics, Team Mates, or any other wack excuse you've given can be tendered without some modicum of shame, when Martial plays in a team and for a manager, and with team mates that are superior to most of the names I've mentioned.

What other excuse do you have when Wijnaldum and Arnautovic have outscored Martial?

Maybe it's time to accept\admit the truth...that Martial is nowhere as good as you claimed he was

It's not like Martial has a track record of goal scoring anyway undecided

Don't mind them, they keep saying he's just 19 he is even 20 now,
How many players had the opportunity to start week in week-out for a top flight club at that age?
Martial -->8 goals 3 assists in 25 starts, in EPL.
Iwobi -->2 goals 2 assists in 3 starts in the EPL. Meanwhile iwobi is 19 and has never been played as a CF while Martial has been played as a CF.
So y'all should just shove the age sh.it up ur a*s!!!!!!

You can imagine the moronic excuse.

Wijnaldum has outscored Martial because Steve McClaren is a better manager than LVG.

Dele Alli quietly matched Martial's league goal Tally on Sunday, whilst boasting more assists to boot [pun intended] and they're the same age o...yet Coogar and his army of drones were happily proclaiming Martial the best 19 and U21 in the league.

Then Raumdeuter came to up the ante and crowned him the best U25 in the league when 3 of the current top 5 goal scorers are aged 25 and below...

Gosh...

Of the people ahead of Martial in goal scoring, How many of them are point strikers for their team?

The ones who are not strikers, how many take Penalty and Free kicks for their team which boost their goals

Martial is not the top striker for man utd, he isnt the dead ball taker for his team

So lets sieve the top strikers and the PK/FK takers out to see how many are actually ahead of martial Shall we?
