good one. this project was started by clueless GEJ in 2012.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mambilla_Power_Station

Mambilla dam has been in the works since the early 80s.

GEJ revived it 2012 but cancelled in 2013 when we had difficulties meeting our side. It was then being renegotiated.

Buhari completed the renegotiation process.

Initially cancelled? Yes.

Revived by Buhari? Hell No!

Ofcourse it was,

Buhari's first meeting with China was to renegotiate Mambilla in December 2015

"Outside from railways, President Buhari is also expected to discuss ways of kick-starting the 3,050 MW Mambila Power Station, considered to be a strategic project initiated in 1982 but has not taken off."

can we stop all this argument of who cancelled and re-negotiated the project? We need to move forward by supporting the Govt to complete the project. We all enjoy Third mainland bridge today and nobody is breaking his head on whether shagari started or IBB completed the project.

With Mambilla 4kMW is achievable.
instead of writing 4kMW, why not put it this way?

4GW is the right way to put it

Buhari doesn't deserve any special adulation for continuing with an ongoing project. He's probably doing this to score some political point. I expected him to initiate new power projects that compliment the existing ones instead of wasting 11 months on nothing. If he's so serious with all-round development why was Calabar-Lagos rail project excluded from his initial budget?

Wth d way ur brain is working, is only God that can help u.
Y do u think we r still facing infrastructural deficit in this country? is becos of what u want our able president to do,he should abandon d ongoing projects and initiate new ones so that u can have a good ground to wail at d end of his tenure. We know ur type.

What a dull brain! Is your IQ so low not to see part of my post where I asked the president to initiate new projects that COMPLIMENT EXISTING ONES? A president that rubbished everything about Jonathan should be seen doing something different in addition to completing existing projects.. Simple English you can't comprehend.

It was not an ongoing project. It was cancelled and renegotiated.

The last adminstration started the renegotiation process after the initial cancelation. Can't you people learn?

If the project is ongoing why is it being renegotiated? The project had been abandoned just like Ajaokuta steel complex and many others.
I doubt if there's anything on ground at Mambilla.
