suemie4ever: Yes aunty/ uncle that pays my salary. I have nothing else to do but check the thread every second so you don't wait... I have seen the column for family application when u submit but whether it actually works? The jury is still on it. What I know is that everybody needs their own ds 160 no matter the age. So in my opinon you should fill the form for everybody |

Hello house Quick question? My Very good friend has an interview soon, he is married about 2 years now, his wife has been travelling to America since she was a child, however he has never travelled out of Nigeria, well just Ghana, question is can he take his wife's passport along with him to the embassy, or a photocopy of her visa pages, or just a mention of the name at the embassy would suffice Thanks in advance |

That person is going to get a HOT SLAP for being impolite. Mrs G is a lady and should not have to defend herself! A real man will step in to do that for her. |

LADY G, good morning, i was in us embassy yesterday with my family, my first daughter and my wife have been to south Africa two years ago but i and my 7months old baby haven't travel out of the country. between us and vo vo- good morning me and my wife- morning vo- why are you going to us both of us- i said we are visiting my wife uncle and my wife said we are visiting his uncle. we answered together vo- busy checking our passport, later he faced the system typing for like 10mins, during that time i was looking at white paper taught he will give us, the white man brought out the blue paper, i was sucked. most painful thing is that this man asked us only one question. pls can u tell me what happen. just want to know cos am not ready to reapply for now. we have good job in this country. just want to now why the guy swallowed our visa fees. thanks |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by worry359(m): 12:16pm On Apr 14, 2016 |
tiwatowa: If that is a true transcript it is so obvious, why can you not see it? You both say visiting different person! Visa officer thinks "They can not even tell the same story, there reason for visiting is false" Not only have you been rejected, it will have put a red flag on your record that you were not telling the truth! |
Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by FrontPageLawyer(m): 12:48pm On Apr 14, 2016 |
tiwatowa: Visa applications are adjudicated based on individual's merits. The visa officer typed for 10 minutes without asking the next question. The decision to deny your visas was reached according to how your application form was filled, so the officer had to save time to attend to the next applicant. The decision has nothing to do with your travel history and the first question asked, but your employment, salary, family and social relationship have been carefully analyzed and the officer wasn’t satisfied you’ll return back to Nigeria. To qualify for a visitor visa you should be able to demonstrate sufficiently strong social, professional and economic ties that would compel return after a temporary stay. Some decisions are even reached before the interview commences. For example, identities are verified, biometric data are analyzed and security checks are conducted. Can you tell us about your employment, salary range and for how long you have been working? 3 Likes |

@Tiwa I agree with the above 2 posters. Your visa can actually be decided on the form you filled alone. So without u having convinced the vo about home ties (work, travel history etc) you guys' conflicting answer cinched the refusal. Abi did you mistype the reply you guys gave the vo? |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by LadyGuinivere: 3:51pm On Apr 14, 2016 |
Sayfolksy:Nobody is going to prepare a ' cheat sheet' for u. If you truly want the visa work for it. The documents needed is contained in the us embassy website. Likely questions have been shared by people that have gone for interviews. All you have to do it read it. The earlier you start the process the better... @tiwatowa make I use u as point of contact to other nl users. Is it that the standard format of @abujaniv's response ' We cannot respond to questions or comments on specific cases" does not make meaning? Why do folks keep on asking them questions they can't answer? If they do not tell u why you were refused during the interview, is it on a thread they will? U actually went to ask them why the vo ' swallowed your visa fees'? I hail you o! 1 Like |

More like they nibbled on the fees. Try a refusal from uk embassy...that's more like 'a swallow' Still remember when a relative was refused 5yrs uk visa equivalent 200k even with previous visas and travel history. The 'epe' wey follow...hmmm turns to prayer point. |

Re: USA Visit Visa Part 2 by justwise(m): 4:35pm On Apr 14, 2016 |
Sayfolksy: US embassy doesn't deal with papers, just complete the application form and attend an interview, if they need any paper evidence you will be asked to bring that later. Information on your application form and interview questions are the key. Good luck |

salsera: Unless you are truly a frequent traveler , it doesn't worth it. I ve gotten the 2 years UK visa twice, and on each occasion used it just once. I can imagine how much money I would have saved if I only applied for 6 months visa on the the two occasions. 1 Like |

LadyGuinivere:"i said we are visiting my wife uncle and my wife said we are visiting his uncle. we answered together". @the bolded; wouldn't be surprised if writer actually wanted to write "we are visiting HER uncle"! "Her" is her, "his" is his. Na beg we dey, make we dey put eye for ground look well if we dey write. By the time person talk now, Una go say "Professor!" or "English no be our mother tongue".
