What does this mean fam
krisez:
FEBRUARY, 2016
The Canadian Bar Association (CBA), the largest professional association for lawyers in Canada, has requested an emergency meeting with officials from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC, formerly known as CIC) to discuss technical and client service issues, particularly with respect to online services.
In a letter sent to the Director General of IRCC’s Operational Management and Coordination, three principal areas of concern were outlined by the Chair of the CBA Immigration Law Section, Stéphane Duval. These related to:
webform inquiries not being reviewed and/or forwarded to the office handling the case;
requests for additional documents to be submitted mid-processing, yet ports for the documents to be uploaded not opening; and
Case Review taking 30 days or more to respond to enquiries.
Members of the CBA are currently compiling a list of related issues and examples to further illustrate the issues raised in the letter, which was publicized on February 10, 2016 in National magazine, the official periodical of the CBA.
‘These technical and client service issues have resulted in numerous cases being closed or refused due to “incomplete” applications or for a “failure to provide requested documents,” when documents have been provided via the webform or portal (and often via an additional back-up method, such as courier or email to the responsible office). The additional documents are simply not being properly reviewed, noted or matched up to the in-progress application,’ states the letter.
‘In the meantime, people are out of work, damages are accruing, and there is no simple or expeditious way to resolve issues that stem from inefficiencies and problems with IRCC’s tools and service options.’

I used to have some uncles in the hood who has very little knowledge about everything but always make it look like they are veterans. I remembered how one fumbled so much about being a chess master but ended up playing chess like a draft grin grin grin. I gave the other one a serious beating on MK with my favourite player NOOB SAIBOT.

So back to the matter
Canadian visa Application has always been on a turn by turn which means if it's not your turn you won't be attended to. You can only be told to submit another admission letter indicating the next starting date for the program you applied and this is the reason why CIC implore everyone to apply at least 6months before the class starts.

So enough of bragging and discouraging people not to submit. This is not a Dubai or Malaysick study permit.

And for those complaining about the time frame, the current waiting time for SA is 17weeks but there is an alternative. Cameroon is 4wks, you can enter Cameroon thru PH, apply and do you biometrics, you may not like the outcome but you will get a swift response cheesy

I'm very pleased that we're in same department. Please is your official name Ikenna? Yea, i think that's what it'll lead to deferring to winter cos she said if It's not possible this fall then winter or summer whichever one that works out. I'll need your help with regards to securing a supervisor because the one's I mailed said they're already full that I should keep on trying. Laurie said even though it is necessary, i don't need to secure one b4 applying. I know it's needful to secure a supervisor before applying in order to fast track my admission. Due to the fact that it's a system you're into please can you help with list of supervisors you think I can speak with? . I have spoken to some of them n yet no positive response, the likes of li, guay, etc. I saw your comment about anyone who wants control options should contact you, how about that? Is it still open? These are my options process system engineering, fuel cell, and environmental. Please who do you think I should speak to that can give me a positive response. Thanks

An admission process that takes approx 1 month with a supervisor might take up to 3 months without a supervisor and the applicant might still end up being denied admission. That was my case in 2013 but one thing paid me off,PERSISTENCE...i kept in touch with my supervisor from that 2013 for 2 years and eventually ended up with him 2 years after, in 2015.

I'll advise you to spread your tentacles to other schools not just one or two, that way your chances of getting a positive response are increased. A few guys contacted me then when I mentioned about the opportunities though it's not automatic. I'll keep my ears open though incase if something comes up.

Wishing you all the best in your pursuit, it's not an easy one but worth it at the end.

You're welcome. Queen's is celebrating her 175th year anniversary this year hopefully by fall.... So do well to apply for TRV asap so you'll be on ground to join in the celebration. It'll be epic.

Queen's is lovely, though over 95% whites.

Hi everyone. I will be visiting Calgary for a week-long conference (in June) and I will be very happy to meet some helpful people.
I have lived in Denmark for over two years (currently living there on post-masters residence permit), I have also visited the UK and the US (still have a valid visa) in the past.

As I am interested in settling in Canada because I have a greater chance of finding a job in my field (Geology) or related, I will need some help on possible ways of making this possible (legally). I am aware of the federal skilled immigration program and I am working on it; will be sitting for IELTS and I have already had my Degrees (Bachelor and Masters) accessed by WES. However, I want to consider other options. I have a valid 2 years Canadian TRV that expires next year.

Thank you in advance!

Good morning people,
@ Khalesi, Team12 and any other person who has applied for study permit with a child/ minor

1. Did your child have to do medicals? (I intend on doing upfront)

2. Even as you declared your spouse wasn't joining you, did you apply for a visitor's visa for him with your application or afterwards?

3. If the answer to 2 above is NO, did he have to do a police report and medicals?

4. The spreadsheet of estimated expenses (which I am contemplating drawing up to show how my children will be catered for) was it a part of your SOP or a separate document?

Please I would appreciate a response from anyone who is knowledgeable on how this works.
Thanks and have a splendid weekend.

Good day to the bosses.
Pls, I wish to know the following before applying for admission.
I studied computer science as my undergraduate course but with a low CGP (lower than the required). I have my MBA certificate.
My question is that, can I use my MBA to apply for Masters or not?
The proposed school is university of Manitoba and the course is also computer science.
Thanks as I await your positive responses

You have a very good profile. Where in Canada are you planning to visit ? Try the Federal Skilled route and see. There is also the Express Entry too.

We are saying the same thing, I didn't say if you are to paying $1000CAD bank will deduct $1000USD but they transact international funds in USD so the equivalent of $1000 CAD in USD will be transferred.
If the guy is charged in USD equivalent he should confirm from the school how much they received from him then he can conclude if it's fraud or mistake from the transaction officer then he can take it up with them

Ok. I agree with you.

I will suggest you contact your department at U of M, they usually have first hand information. Your low CGPA might not be a factor if it's self sponsored, the VO might just raise eyebrow on it, once you have a good SOA, and school accept you through admission letter, you as good as Canadian Student. Aloha

Nothing good comes easy. But, the PGWP is far most the easiest permit to get so far. You can even work legally while studying and once done, apply for a post graduate work permit which can be given for 8 months - 3 years. The PGWP depends on whatever course you studied tho. If it's a 2 year course, you can sit back and hang in there for a 3 year PGWP.

Can study permit be extended. For instance, is it possible to extend study permit for 2 more years after completing a one year PGC program? The 2 years extension is for a 2yr diploma program.

have you tried applying for the Denmark green card? Reason being that the oil industry in Canada is bleeding at the moment and near collapse except a miracle happens, and the oil price goes up which I pray should. You would need to also convert your Geo certificate to Canadian standard through APEGGA.
