Ioannes: Yet we are begging the US to increase consumption of our crude. Let's face. It we are not in a bargaining advantage seat.. Hence us going to Asia, Middle East and the USA. We really are not capable of holding any of the ACES at the negotiating table. We still need USA and the dollar manipulation is an intenal greed system within ourselves . Let's stop blaming outsiders 1 Like |

I always wondered why d only advise America n IMF always give to Nigeria is jux devaluation of Naira yle dey always support n give bail out fund to eastern countries...I'm just tired n sick of diz IMF, all they do is to sucks Africa to sustain der land...diz same IMF killed Ajaokuta Iron Steel up till date from functioning all in d name of advise. Ofcoz, they are backed by world super power 'America' so it will take only a brave n fearless president to resist dem(IMF).. It's so unfortunate our past leaders heed to der advise by accepting dat Nigeria do not need to own an Iron n Steel Industry as dey can always get from d foreign countries which lead to d end point of Ajaokuta 2day. Am not surprised tho as I know 4 sure dat every business man will always wants a profit...IMF is like a business enterprise dat will always wanna make a profit, they will never care about d instability of ur economy after heeding to der advise in as far as they are profiting 4rm ur purse. The obvious question I need a serious answer to ryt about now is; why d sudden pressure n d serious advise from IMF @ diz moment dat buhari traveled to sign dat Currency Deal With China, an Act to Crash Dependence on The US Dollar? I tink obviously d answer sud b on ur palm already. I av taken a critical studies of d whole things n i here by say #NoToIMFDecisionsInNigeria I am Oniwon Moses Dj Aboki n I jux wanna make #ARealityChecked. |

ideylaff: isn't that the entire point of all these? for how long will we keep needing the U.S? for how long will we keep depending on only crude oil exports? can't you see that that is their intention all along? to make us dependent on them so that to break free from them will scare us even more than our suffering? We don't need the U.S and the earlier we ween ourselves from their influence the better for us because like it or not, the U.S cares only for it's interests. Every other thing is a game of chess for them. we have been a pawn too long on their chess board. We know how ruthless America can be when the odds are stacked against them. 1 Like |

King44: Yes. People screaming do not understand. Basically what the deal does is give china a monopoly over Nigeria's Contacts internationally. Anything we cannot do ourselves china must do. down side is, we must accept what ever price at the value of their currency at that time. Upside is, our exports would no longer be cheap to other countries. it is good provided we do not export to china. We must begin to produce and export quickly. |

Ioannes: You don't need the US but we head for the US with stolen money when we steal money LOL Very laughable, we don't need the US but you want their money to fix NE Don't need the US but Buhari has bn there 3 times since he became president Let's face it we are doing diversification of the economy by mouth and seminars and talk with less real action That's our problem blame the west but us Someone mentioned Ajaokuta was killed by the IMF ask the Russians who told them to bring over 2nd hand machinery to kick start Ajaokuta . The late Malam Ali Makele and the first set of people in charge of Ajaokuta Bottom line the west cannot rape us if we don't turn our bums to then in cohort with Nigerians behind the scene Simple 1 Like |

Mindfulness:All d IMF loans we took in d past where did it get us? All d asian tiger countries REFUSED IMF loans in d past, ran closed economies (economies with focus on self and areas of comparative advantage), suffered the short/medium term consequences, and finally emerged as what they are today. They also shifted their focus of doing business SIGNIFICANTLY from d west in that time and though they faced serious sabotage and blackmail (like Buhari is facing now from that fish looking Christine Lagarde of d IMF and her co conspirators), they have come this far. Many Africans (plus countless Nigerians with all their education donot understand the principle of enlightened self interest) which prescribes the forgoing of present day gratification to achieve a greater, more positive and sustainable outcome. Lemme also chip in that from d world go, the struggle between the two dominant world political ideologies (socialist east and capitalist west) is still much with us till this day. Nigeria at this point (just like d asian tiger countries) is determined to find an economic framework that genuinely works for us and is peculiar to us. As much as we are suffering at this point (I am a six years post NYSC grad with a masters degree myself and still struggling intensively to survive) I am seeing the subtle steps of this govt to PERMANENTLY alter the status quo 4 dis country. As much as d STRUCTURE of d country is an impediment, something still needs to be done at least. 2 Likes |

Menzy86: Why are you lying? is south Korea not an Asian Tiger? For your information, during the Asian crisis of 96/97, they took an IMF loan and the SAME conditions given to Africa was given to them. And they met up. Africans were and are still wasteful, that is the fact. And those of you talking of Greece recieving preferential treatment, you guys are lying too because those loans came with dire conditions and bitter austerity. That is why the Greeks went protesting in the streets, so stop misinforming the gullible here. IMF conditions are same for ALL countries. 1 Like |
