At last ,a tecno phone runs on Android 6 out of the box.I stumbled on it this Morning and was wondering why Boom J8 wan not loaded with this software.

It depends on where you download from. If it is from play store, then it must be on phone memory, otherwise, you can download on external SD card.

The design is cool, Tecno definitely knows how to push their device to consumers. Android marshmallows is cool on this

Are you talking about downloading or installing?
You can download anything you want on your SD card.
To install an application on your SD card go to settings > storage > preferred install location, then choose Removable SD card.
The little problem is that the application will still create some files on the internal memory. So, if your internal memory is completely full, try and uninstall some apps.

you should be taliking of Installing ,not downloading .There are a few different ways to do this, and which you use depends on your version of Android and which apps you want to move. Android 6.0 Marshmallow lets you “adopt” your SD card as internal storage, automatically installing allowed apps to the SD card. Some pre-Marshmallow devices may let you move apps manually, but only if the developer allows it.
