Hw often do you guage ur car tires and what's the pressure u go for. My tire = 195/65 R15 91T Tire make: Good year Age of tire: abt 18months (bought ist grade toks  )Pressure I use = 40psi Hw often I guage it = 6 to 8weeks except there is puncture Do you think the length of time a tire retains its pressure is an indicator to its quality n top shape. I have a tyre presure monitor on all my vehicles, when any tyre is below average it shows clearly. Every tyre will eventually loose some amount of pressure with time, but on the average if my tyres are ok, I can go a year without having to add any air. the one with a red/yello colour needs air, most likely a small leak. 11 Likes 1 Share

I have a tpms indicator in my car. If my car tyre is over or under pressurised, it will indicate on the instrument cluster. The last time I manually checked the cold air pressure readings of all four tyres including my spare was 3 weeks ago. 1 Like |

ZACHIE:Experiences have shown that a good grade toks tire is more likely better than most new china tire. They are more reliable safety - wise. Majority prefered them. Tire is not the only contraband product we embrace in Nigeria. Even the foreign rice we consume almost everyday is now listed as contraband. 8 Likes |

Mine stays for like 8 weeks before I go to vulcanizer to check air pressure... and when he does, it may just be 1 or 2 that needs air. My tyres are same with OP's tyres. The 2 front tyres are about a year old bought brand new, while the 2 rear and spare in the trunk are about 2 years. |

. christopher123:If you must buy a car, then you must be willing to take on the corresponding maintenance cost. Life has no duplicate you know. Tires are one of the components of a car you shouldn't compromise standard for. My tire spec is 265/50 Rim20, Good Year. I just changed the four tires last month (bought it brand new) after hearing how a faulty tire cost a dear minister his life. I don't bother checking the tire guage as there's an indicator on my vehicle's dashboard that notifies me of loss of air pressure. 1 Like |
