[quote author=tolumuntari post=44823061]Good evening guys. Please is the police report compulsory for study permit? I don't like this type of question. If you know anything you can do to boost your application do it. Police report is not compulsory but its important. |

Bamz: A declaration of sponsorship will suffice. Be sure to have it signed and stamped by said sponsor. Also, have the sponsor state clearly how much he/she is willing to give you annually. |

NewSheriff: Bro, actually it's like next to impossible to do that. Keeping in mind you are only legally allowed to work 20 hours/week during school session. During summer, you can make enough to pay a great deal out of it (depends on how much your tuition is), but I know most people make around $6-7k during the summer. Part time job is only designed to help with rent, grocery shopping and the likes. It is extremely uncomfortable to try and pay tuition with the money you make. Putting in mind you will be breaking the law and the implication could be extreme, being deported is not an uncommon outcome. 2 Likes |

Amefrica:Wow thanks for the heads-up. I didn't know it's against the law to pay for school fees with the money one makes. Just that the school I'm applying to though! CAD $7k+ every semester (4 months). That's some money in naira. I thought I could shoulder the bills when I get there or at least pay half of the fees. Thanks for replying |

NewSheriff: It's not illegal to pay your fees from the money you make. Dont get it wrong. You wont be able to get enough hours to pay for school fees. Thats the point. Cant wait for summer to get employed *sigh 3 Likes |

slimbeauty3: Lower case next time please.... The summer resumption date should be clearly stated on your acceptance letter. Have you been called for medicals yet? You could defer to fall session if you dont meet up for spring. Cost of living is in the average, as Kingston is relatively a small city. When you get your TRV, accommodation shouldn't be much of a problem. Don't get worried about things beyond your control, it only makes you end up imagining negative outcomes. Pray about it every morning, and let the Divine power take control of the rest. 3 Likes |
