I don't like this type of question. If you know anything you can do to boost your application do it. Police report is not compulsory but its important.

LOL thanks. What of the VFS consent form?

BTW I'm using declaration of sponsorship (instead of affidavit of sponsorship)... what are your views?

PS. I'm being sponsored by my employer

A declaration of sponsorship will suffice.

Be sure to have it signed and stamped by said sponsor. Also, have the sponsor state clearly how much he/she is willing to give you annually.

Pls is it possible for a 2:2 graduate with a masters degree to apply for another masters degree program in Canada in a similar course? e.g BSc physics, MSc theoretical physics from Nigeria University applying for masters degree in medical physics in any Canadian Universities.

Much obliged. Thanks a lot.

And about the PCC, must someone be physically present? I know there's a form that needs to be thumb printed on or so, could I just fill that and have a proxy complete it the processing at Alagbon?

I just want to verify from the gurus in the house so I can plan properly. Can a student make enough money while schooling that can cover his school fees?

Cc: Amefrica Bobola8x Jengbetiele and anyone that has an answer to this question.

Thanks

Can study permit be extended. For instance, is it possible to extend study permit for 2 more years after completing a one year PGC program? The 2 years extension is for a 2yr diploma program.
Hi bro, have you found a school that offers pgd in petroleum engineering?

have you tried applying for the Denmark green card? Reason being that the oil industry in Canada is bleeding at the moment and near collapse except a miracle happens, and the oil price goes up which I pray should. You would need to also convert your Geo certificate to Canadian standard through APEGGA.
Hmmmmm and I'm going there to study petroleum engineering and work there thereafter in their oil & gas industry undecided

Bro, actually it's like next to impossible to do that. Keeping in mind you are only legally allowed to work 20 hours/week during school session. During summer, you can make enough to pay a great deal out of it (depends on how much your tuition is), but I know most people make around $6-7k during the summer. Part time job is only designed to help with rent, grocery shopping and the likes. It is extremely uncomfortable to try and pay tuition with the money you make. Putting in mind you will be breaking the law and the implication could be extreme, being deported is not an uncommon outcome.

Wow thanks for the heads-up. I didn't know it's against the law to pay for school fees with the money one makes.

Just that the school I'm applying to though! undecided CAD $7k+ every semester (4 months). That's some money in naira. I thought I could shoulder the bills when I get there or at least pay half of the fees. Thanks for replying

It's not illegal to pay your fees from the money you make. Dont get it wrong. You wont be able to get enough hours to pay for school fees. Thats the point.

Cant wait for summer to get employed *sigh

No, it's not a law not to pay for school fees with the money you make. But it is a law not to work full-time during school session.

Am in a similar situation now and really confused.
My department has reviewed my application and found me academically eligible but cannot admit me yet until a supervisor signs my form.
I have secured a supervisor but he refused to sign until he gets his grant decision this April.
I want the funding too but the wait for his decision is almost killing me.
He asked me if i require funding which i said yes, but told him i will still work with him if his funding does not come. But he has not replied me yet.

Pls anyone in M.Sc Env. Sci MUN or has anyone applied there for fall and has gotten adission letter?
For those there, do i really require supervisor funding diff from the department own since its a research based course?
Should i keep on waiting till whenever he get his funding?
Pls i need ur response quickly

The way you sound seems to me like you're already bugging him with mails. Avoid that please to avoid marring your chances of getting his approval to work with him. Don't make yourself appear to be desperate before him. Portray yourself as having something special to bring to his table. Don't let emotion play a role here. This is business, not personal. Always have in mind that these guys want the best return on their investments.

And lastly, be patient... Nothing good comes easy.

Goodluck in your search bro...

WOULD LIKE TO KNOW EVERYTHING, WHEN WILL THEY RESUME FOR SUMMER, ACCOMMODATION OFF CAMPUS, COST OF LIVING, AM JUST WORRIED CAUSE I APPLIED FOR MY TRV FEB 02 AND AM YET TO GET A REPLY FROM EMBASSY, IVE NOT BEEN ASK TO BRING MY PASSPOST AND I AM TO RESUME THIS MAY. PAID MY TUITION FEE,JUST WORRIED. undecided

Lower case next time please....

The summer resumption date should be clearly stated on your acceptance letter. Have you been called for medicals yet? You could defer to fall session if you dont meet up for spring. Cost of living is in the average, as Kingston is relatively a small city. When you get your TRV, accommodation shouldn't be much of a problem.

Don't get worried about things beyond your control, it only makes you end up imagining negative outcomes. Pray about it every morning, and let the Divine power take control of the rest.

You could have told him you don't need funding. Sometimes availability of funding makes them prefer students who don't require funding. When you enter, by your second year it could change if you impress him enough.
