I repented three years ago but since then i still battled with lust and masturbation. it is a horrible secret sin to me and though i was not comfortable, i found myself doing it. By the grace of God two weeks ago i repented genuinely and i had peace as if it flows from a river. indeed, it flew from a river which is Jesus Christ because i was so confident, i was feeling it like never before. The peace was there till five days ago when i started experiencing serious spiritual battles in the dream:

1. The first night, I dreamt of a lady pursuing me with a ring, i shot a door against her and by the grace of God, i had victory.

2. The second night, i found myself lusting over a lady i met during my NYSC service year. In this particular dream, i found myself in a serious competition with one man for her.

3. Now, just yesterday night, i was lusting, kissing and touching a white lady!!

Does this mean i am not saved?
Does it mean i have a spiritual wife?
why is it that the strategy the devil is using is spiritual lust which is so hard to resist?
can i ever overcome this battle alone?

please help me because i came back from church and i was so weak, very weak that i gave in to the temptation of masturbating.

i have repented yet again and i want a quick solution.

To fight, actively tell yourself that those images are wrong, hold a sword and swing it at any of the characters in your imagination or dreams. Killing them with sword instead of trying to hold down or divert the thoughts works for me, just try it.

You have a spiritual wife or sex partner whom you attracted by masturbation. Your being born again has dealt a great blow to your relationship with her. That is the reason for the attack.

Everyone who masturbates is oppressed by a demon. Such people if they engage in a hot night vigil they will be attacked most times by the demon covering or pressing them when they go to sleep. They hardly make progress financially.

That doesn't mean your not born again. If means your a baby child of God. If you enlighten your spirit with the word of God through meditation. Those devils oppressing you will disappear.

Firstly, In order for you to prevent lust from invading your heart again, you need to recognise it for what it really is instead of you trying to deny the presence of such in your life. You must admit it as your weakness. Without your admittance of such, you can never conquer it in your life. It takes true humility & genuine repentance to do this. The apostle John said about this in the book of 1 john 1: 8-10
Second, once u realised this, the next thing u will do is to confess that sin of lust to God, tellin Him that u're truly sorry. The bible says that God is always faithful & just, He is quick to forgive us of our sins when we were remorseful & repentant. Also find a worthy person to confess that you have such weakness to that individual so that the person will know that you are serious about over coming such problem in ur life & will assist you in your quest to do so. This is because you need to be accountable to someone should you find yourself slipping back to that dark path again. Thirdly, remove & avoid all manner of medium that will incite lust to rise again in ur heart, including hard & soft porns, bad friends, x-rated movies & music videos, being alone with the opposite sex in a private place etc Matt. 5: 27-30
Finally, this is the hardest part but by the special grace of God, you can do it. Realise that you can't overcome this weakness on your own. You need to trust master Jesus to help you overcome it. The bible says that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. This is something that only Jesus alone can do, not just by your own might. Remember to pray to God always, bro. It's your greatest weapon against forces of evil. I will also advice you to always find time & study the new testament scriptures to aid you in your quest in overcoming evil. Goodluck in your faith walk to perfection. May the spirit of the lord be with you & give you strength to overcome your temptations.

There's a handle the devil uses to handle/control every living soul; it is called Flesh. From your narrative, the enemy has located masturbation as the gateway into your soul, hence they are taking advantage of it.
