bicmitchum: My school sent the verification to WES via email. I checked the online portal for about two weeks after the email was sent but the status did not change to reflect that they have received the verification. We then sent it via courier and after about 3 working days of receiving the doc, my status change to ''documents received, evaluation in progress''. i think you should send it via courier. The school should put it in their branded envelope and stamp the envelope flap at the back(please check wes website for more details about this). |

bicmitchum: This is new to me, email reply to WES? Well, in my case it was a 'paper mail' reply to WES. And I paid to DHL it to WES. I'll advise you to wait for another month, see if WES will acknowledge their email and update your evaluation. If not, arrange with your school to reply by paper mail. Tell them you'll pay for express mail so you can track the delivery to WES. Goodluck! |

Another question pls: Can WES accept Naija university transcript form a Canadian institution. Am in York University here in Toronto and they have my transcript from my Nigerian school and they can send it for free to any where if I request so. So do you think WES will accept it. |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by beyunce(f): 3:03pm On Apr 21, 2016 |
justicia: Your transcript need to be sent directly from your school. To apply for your transcript, you will need to go to your school and write a formal application of request. In the letter you will need to indicate the address where you want your transcript sent. Since you are out of the country, you will need to ask someone here in Nigeria to help you out. |

Most federal institutions in Nigeria now have an online transcript system, whereby you just make your transcript order online and its sent via courier within a week of request. @ least am sure of OAU's. It costs 19k dhl service charge inclusive. So simply find out online if your school too has gone digital. All i did was google oau nigeria transcript. Hope this helps |

Hi. Transcript will be sent free so you have nothing to lose by trying. Give York your registration details from WES website so WES can identify transcript as yours. The rules are sometimes not cast in stone. I did my wife's WES evaluation, i could not pay unilag for the transcript due to TSA but sent the certificate copy through a friend in Canada. Before i knew it her evaluation was completed without sending the transcript. justicia: 1 Like |

Cecegal:Since your husband is an engineer, any province will do. For oil, you can target sasketchwan but you should know that engineering is a regulated profession in Canada and your husband has to go through some trainings and take some professional exams here before he can work as an engineer. In the meantime, if he has work experience, he can work as a technician till he is able to get his qualification. |

At walexlo and all. Am doing a Masters Program here in York University. but am not done until next year. Is it advisable to wait to finish and use the masters degree in which case I wouldn't need evaluation. or should I just proceed with my first degree evaluation with WES. does masters carry more points. 1 Like |

justicia: Sure, a masters degree carries more marks. But whether you currently have enough points to receive an ITA depends on other factors like age, English language ability etc. Kindly refer to the link below. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp The current ITA marks hovers around 468 - 470. Cheers! |

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp I was wondering if one gets additional points ( in my case 22 points ) for one or more certificates/diploma with a valid ECA? i.e 119+ 22(FSW skills) I stumbled across the link pasted above and saw this clause Federal Skilled Worker Program factor points (if this applies) the allocated points for this criteria varies with qualification gain Summary of my question? Will I get 119+22 ( because I am going through the FSW into the EE pool ) for education qualification? I have a Bsc and a PGD both from the UK

ejirostephen: @ejirostephen I have been on the look out for any Naija on SINP PNP and I am happy to see you here. My SINP EE Stream application was on 5th January 2016 and now ''In process''. Do you know how long it will take for this status to change? I know is a patience game and I have enough. |

ZannyShasha: If you want to go the pnp route, since you have over 400 you can wait for when Ontario start issuing PT again. There are rumors that they might resume around June might be before then, but if you are invited to apply with them their application fee is 1500 $. Since you are a Lawyer I don't think it is in demand noc in other Province. ( I might be wrong please do your own research) If you don't already have the highest band score ielts then that might be your next step. 1 Like |

Is the maximum score you can get 449 or is it possible to improve on your IELTS? If it is the maximum, then you might have to use PNP. Please note that, in most situations, you will still need to go via Express Entry even after obtaining provincial nomination. I don't know so much about PNP so I might not be able to give you substantial information about it. The best way to go about it is to check the website for all the provinces and see which ones you will be eligible for. However, these are what I know about the PNP route: Ontario used to invite people in the pool with scores above 400 but it seems they have reached their quota and they are no longer sending out invites. Also, Saskatchewan has reached the quota as well. I heard that New Brunswick opens from day 1-10 every month but I think it only takes specific professions (mostly IT) Manitoba requires you to know someone from the province. That's about all I know. Forum members who have more info should please help out. ZannyShasha: |

morgan2006: I heard it may open in June and I'll advise you to create an account now and attach documents. The window is always too short whenever it opens because most people are just ready and standing by. 2 Likes |
