The Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, on Thursday, threw out the application by the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, where he sought for the self disqualification of the Chairman of the tribunal, Danladi Umar. Saraki through one of his counsels, Oluyele Rapheal informed the tribunal of a pending application for the tribunal Chairman , Danladi Umar to disqualify himself. Rapheal in his argument insisted that the application be heard due to the alleged shady dealings of the Chairman. “There are so many stories of the tribunal Chairman’s dealing with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. “I’m here to do my job and have the right to be heard.” But EFCC’s counsel, Rotimi Jacobs in his response urged the tribunal not to entertain the application because it’s not ripe for hearing. The tribunal Chairman, Danladi Umar held that the application shall not be “entertained and is hereby thrown out. Let’s move to the business of the day.” Saraki is standing trial for false assets declaration while he was the governor of Kwara State. http://dailypost.ng/2016/04/21/false-assets-declaration-tribunal-rejects-sarakis-appeal-for-trial-judge-to-disqualify-himself/ 1 Like

This man should just chill and put down his pride, because the more he run around the morehe increase his channces of going down. Surely, he's not the only liar and thieve in present administration but he's the only one that stepped on BIG toes. Politics is all about give and take, he should just swallow his pride and do the needful and everyone will be Ok, because if there are things that can be taken out of a soldier life after his/her services year Pride and didactic character are not inclusive. I'm not saying he's not gonna win but his chances of winning is competing with mustard seed in term of size. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

a corrupt judge of the federal republic of Nigeria with an on going investigation of corrupt practices against him by EFCC & also petitions of his corrupt practices both in the red chambers was given administrative bail by EFCC to handle a sensitive case as these,,,,, Doesnt tht tell we Nigerians tht Danladi umar is playing the script of his paymasters & if he DELIVERS all investigations against him will be stopped & probably he will be rewarded financially by his paymasters. This govt.of pmb has really insulted our weak judiciary system with all their wrongs since they came into power & the CJN is doing little or notn abt it,,,i weep for naija 1 Like 2 Shares |

Team saraki should stop behaving like amateurs and prepare a robust defense . Why didn't they think of this when they were busy running around from Federal high court to the supreme court to challenge the jurisdiction of the CCT. This is desperation at its peak. Its obvious the federal government is ready to remove Saraki from the seat of the senate presidency using the CCT. What team Saraki should be thinking of is looking beyond the CCT and prepare a robust defense because this tribunal is going to nail him but to prevent the supreme court from upholding their principals jail term should do a good job in the CCT and just maybe the Supreme court might see reasons to save him from going to jail but not from losing the senate presidency. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Saraki, we Kwarans are angry. If you don't return the money you've stolen, I tell you, you'll pay for everything on Judgement Day. Mark my words, I know your son is on Nairaland and he's going see this! Saraki's son, if you know you're not an "omo ale", tell your father to return the money and repair the lives of those he's destroyed! 19 Likes 1 Share |
