Nigeria is a very complex market to run this scheme. It might not be as straightforward as they make it sound for a driver to source clients and for a car owner to be guaranteed of regular income.

Car maintenance responsibilites have to be strictly negotiated and even with the best mechanics, our rough roads can almost guarantee that your 2009-2050 model car will not remain in top condition for very long. Also, a large number of people holding drivers licenses in Nigeria do not have good skills.

I registered with Uber and never bothered using them after the first try when for almost 3 hours, I could not book a ride using their app and they never provided a customer care phone number to call saying it was their policy to operate only via email and social media. I have been very happy with Metro Taxi ever since. I wonder how the larger populace who are not even savvy about using ATMs let alone apps will fare.

your inability to get a ride could be maybe unavailability of drivers around your area...uber is only 2 years old in Nigeria and not many people know about it yeah...metrotaxi has been there for quite a longer time...and before you start using any application you should research on how it works...not joining a bandwagon #PunIntended...now uber has started cash collections not only through cards now...some will say i's due to the FOREX regulations in Nigeria yes but not only in Nigeria...Uber here in Msia also started cash collections two weeks ago...okay,thanks,bye
