kingzizzy: Kanu is a british citizen. His coming to Nigeria as a British citizen to threaten the Sovereign govt was by all international standards an act of terrorism. And the British know better than to support him because that would simply mean accepting responsibility and finances for all damages caused by Nnamdi Kanu. The only way the British can avoid this is to say he acted alone out of his own accord. If he had taken time to actually think this process out he would have recognized that he has no rights in Nigeria. Unfortunately, Nnamdi Kanu is not bound by the Nigerian constitution as a citizen but as international threat given he is not a Nigerian. The British would have negotiate his release or Nnamdi would be tried as a foreigner posing and international threat. Right now he is simply a foreigner that have threatened the security of a foreign sovereign state. Boko Haram, Tompolo and Niger Delta avengers may get Amnesty because they are Nigerians and are protected by the laws here. Again I do not hate anyone just pointing out the reality of things. 2 Likes 1 Share |

@OP. As far as I see it the Nigerian government should allow Igbos secede with very strict conditions if only to test the theories many Igbos bandy around that the SE will be Dubai if they have their own Country. Nothing wrong with agitating for secession but it is wrong to do so on the premise that it is others impeding your progress while calling them all vile names under the sun as if they are not God's creation same as you. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Gbawe:Oga gbawe, Nigerian government is not the one stopping the ibos from seceding from Nigeria but rather the ibo elites are the ones stopping their people from leaving Nigeria. Do you think the likes of ifeanyi ubah, andy ubah, Arthur eze, ekweramadu, NOI etc will welcome anything seccession? Even their ohaneaze are not in support of their Biafra utopia dream, so I don't see how Nigerian government can be influential in their Biafra project. |

Kastonkastroll: Frustrated IPOO miscreant from Brown Roof Republic of Wasteland, you think by colluding with your biased mod to ban my handle and hide my rejoinders will save you from miseries? Not at all... The greedy Awolowo sold his gullible Yoruba people for a mesh of porridge. Awolowo opted to become "boy-boy" to Gowon who was young enough to be his son. Awolowo ended up shortchanging and mortgaging the destiny of Yoruba nation to the Northern oligarch. At the end of the day, your god Awolowo could only but end his life in a most miserable way - suicide just like in the similitude of rat poisoning! What about Yoruba General Oladipo Diya? He wept like a kid before a junior army officer because he was afraid of his life....after wilfully and knowingly plotting a coup. |

Kastonkastroll: Frustrated IPOO miscreant from Wasteland, it's not for you to decide for the Igbos what they want. And for those people you listed, they've got only one vote in the UN supervised referendum. Stop taking overdose panadol for someone else's headache. It's pathetic already. Go find yourselves an idea you can live and die for! Leave Igbos out of your miseries! Use your head, at least for once... |
Re: We Warned Nnamdi Kanu And Ipods But Did They Listen? by Gbawe: 9:33pm On Apr 23, 2016 |
Kastonkastroll: Of course I know this. I have talked tirelessly of the disconnection between what some ordinary Igbos are agitating for and what their utterly corrupt, misruling and treacherous political leaders are doing to compromise and undermine their own. Nonetheless I would like the Nigerian government to put them on the spot one day and announce they can have their way. Then you will see the mother of all internal fight amongst a people profiting immensely from Nigeria, to the extent many of them do not want secession, while the likes of Kanu et al try to make it appear the Igbos are at all united over the whole secession agenda. The sad truth is that many Igbos have been brought up on a staple diet of the lies that other Nigerians are their problem and the impediment to their development. These sort cannot even ask why Igbo land, under the leadership of Igbos, is no better than everywhere else in Nigeria. The likes of kanu will then come to deceive them, in the effort to make a fortune and shag prostitutes, while GEJ will use them for political mileage by adding Ebele to his name when , in five years, he could not even give the SE a bridge that will be very helpful to the development and growth of the region!!!! I am just personally sick and tired of the whole blame game crap from some who cannot first deal with the enemy within before going to proclaim all other Nigerians as their enemies. 3 Likes 1 Share |

[s] Kastonkastroll:[/s] Frustrated IPOO miscreant from Wasteland, you should be ashamed of your tribe that none of you loud-mouthed, lily-livered beings dared stand and looked Hausa-Fulanis eyeball to eyeball as Kanu did. You're of all men most miserable if all you could do is make a living out of Kanu's quest for nationhood. It's a pity you that you and your co-conspirators have not been able to pin him down with all your evil propaganda and jungle justice. If you're man enough dust your masquerade regalia and go testify against NK. Gbawe: There's nothing like deception in a people seeking self-determination. You lots should cease dictating for other people how to live their lives. If we are really one, you need not shout it into my head for me to understand. We are totally different in many ways and have nothing in common. A simple referendum is all that's needed to nullify your theory of absurdity on Igbos. A legitimate agitation by a people for a simple referendum is no way a crime. No one has got the moral right to impose on another his/her self-centred way of reasoning. Strange bedfellows, with irreconcilable value systems that are at best suitable for the individual selves, are not meant to be together! The 102 years of existence attest to that verdict! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - There's virtually no other State governors that performed creditably better than Chime Sullivan, Peter Obi or Chris Ngige vis-a-vis the available funds at their disposal during that era. https://www.nairaland.com/3066017/how-tinubu-milks-lagos-state-of N3-N6 Billion Monthly Through Alpha Beta https://www.nairaland.com/3065185/fbi-links-bola-tinubu-heroin http://saharareporters.com/2009/02/18/bola-tinubus-heroin-tainted-assets-forfeiture-judgement With the global downturn, Igbo States are the least affected by the falling crude oil earnings. Even Fayose of Ekiti government had to send some of his citizens to the SE to learn a skill/trade in a bid to grow the economy of Ekiti State and Yorubaland as a whole. Remember that soon after the civil war you lots connived and robbed Easterners of their hard earned money in banks and gave £20 to only those who could prove they had bank accounts. You lots proceeded to use the stolen funds to buy up the numerous companies established by the colonial masters, looting the companies and rendering them bankrupt. And that was the beginning of the collapse of the Nigerian economy. Till date the economy is yet to recover. Instead of developing the Eastern region after the war subsequent evil governments diverted Gowon’s 3Rs to your regions for rapid development while neglecting and under-developing the Eastern region. Inspite of federal government presence and investments coupled with the numerous treasury lootings of Yoruba and Northern elites, the Igbos can still boast of having the highest concentration of middle-class citizens while a number of your States are in comatose with many of its civil servants surviving on the good gestures of concerned Nigerians.
