Dear Friends,
I just added the petition:
NIGERIA: ABOLISH EMPLOYMENT AGE
BARRIER.
It would mean a lot to me if
you took a moment to add your
name because:
This is important because :
1. It goes against section 42(2)
of the 1999 constitution as
amended, which stipulates that no
citizen should be subjected to
any deprivation by reason of
circumstance to his birth.
2. Section 2205 of Federal
Government Public Services rules
allows for applicants between the
age of 15 years to 50 years.
3. It will curb the trend of
unlawful declaration of age among
Nigerian youths.
4. It will dampen the lingering
unemployment status in the
country.

Rubbish! You cannot dictate to an employer who and who not to employ or whatever criteria he/she should use in choosing his employees. Everywhere in the world, age, grade, school etch has always been a barrier in job recruitment.
