Mansa Episode 15 “It’s a small world Mrs Bernard, I’m watching you.” Obed said and left with Mansa. Mrs Bernard was very scared, those words from Obed unnerved her. He was her new worry and she was determined to find out who he really was. Obed took Mansa to his place. It was a huge mansion and to Mansa’s surprise, no one lived with Obed in that house, not even a househelp. Mansa felt safe with Obed from the moment they met but now she was all alone with the man in his house… She was a little worried. But Obed allayed her fears. He was the perfect gentleman. He fed her breakfast in bed every morning, took care of her, bought anything that she wanted before she even asked. Mansa was living a good life. She also didn’t keep anything from him. She was completely transparent with him. She told him about her encounter with Chris and his story about Derek being the rapist. Obed advised her not to make any conclusions just yet. He promised to help her find who the culprit really was. Something Mansa found strange about Obed was that he didn’t have a cell phone. And when she asked, he also did not have an email address or anything that you could use to contact him. He never had friends over to visit. Since Mansa moved in with him, no one ever come by the house. The most awkward thing was that Mansa didn’t know the room Obed slept in. Even though it was a mansion, it was only a 6 bedroom house. Asides Mansa’s room, all the other rooms were permanently locked. She tried several times to wait till Obed fell asleep before she did. That way, she could monitor him and eventually get to know where he slept. But that plan didn’t work. She always slept before Obed. Every morning, they’d wake up and meet in the living room to pray together. Something happened on one of those occasions. After one morning devotion, Mansa somehow found herself on Obed’s lap as they watched television together. She starred at him for a long time and strangely, she felt like kissing him. Mansa realised that she was gradually falling in love with Obed. He has shown so much kindness to her and for the first time she was feeling something real. Something she had never felt before. She took her head off his lap and slowly took his hand… Now, she had his attention. When he turned to look at her, she looked straight into his eyes. “Obed, why are you doing this? Why are you going these lengths to help me?” Mansa asked him He smiled and said “I believe that sometimes in life, everybody needs a helper. I just followed my instincts. Who knows what God is also doing for me because of what I’m doing for you. Miracles do happen you know. But we just don’t see it because as humans, we are too dependent on others – pastors, friends and whoever we feel we can trust. I’m not the one you should be asking this question, my dear. God himself will give you an answer.” His words were pleasing to her ears. She had never known anyone this perfect. She had never known love so genuine and selfless. Mansa kept looking into eyes. She felt like kissing him. She soon gave in to the passion she was feeling… She whispered his name and drew her face closer to his. Obed knew what her intention was. They could virtually feel each other’s breath. He quickly withdrew and stood up from where Mansa was sitting. That made Mansa come back to her sensesand she immediately regretted her actions. She apologized to Obed and quickly ran into her room. Derek on the other hand was trying to make contact with Mansa. He had called her several times but couldn’t reach her. He decided to come back home when his mother told him about Mansa and Obed. Derek was furious, for whatever reason. Soon as he arrived, he barged into the house and went straight to his mother’s room. He found her in bed, very sick. All his life, he had known his mother to be a very strong woman. It was the first time he was seeing her this incapacitated. To Mrs Bernard’s surprise, however, he was not really bothered about her sickness. What he wanted to know more urgently was Mansa’s whereabouts. “Mum, where is Mansa?!” Derek asked his mother in a very angry tone. “Derek, why are you so obsessed with that girl? Your mother is seriously sick in bed and you’re not bothered?” Mrs Bernard asked. “Mum, just tell me where she is, that’s all I need” Derek asked again. “Derek, Mansa is with her baby’s daddy and soon they are going to get married so stop bothering your head. ” Mrs Bernard said. “Baby daddy my foot! That Man is a liar, Mansa is carrying my child” Derek revealed. His anger made him spill his secret. His mother froze in shock. That was when Derek realized he had said too much. To be continued… Next update tomorrow |

Thank u very much mhiz and preciousbouy and also arabanaf and peterdrumz . This update is decicated to y'all. Mansa Episode 16 His mother froze in shock. That was when Derek realised he had said too much. “Derek, what are you saying? I don’t understand you” Mrs Bernard asked once she could talk again. “Mum, I can explain but one thing I am sure about is that the guy Mansa is with, is an intruder. I am the father of that child. ” Derek confirmed. “Derek, how could you?! Do you realize the abomination you have committed? This can’t be right, it must be a dream” She replied. Mrs Bernard was acting rather strange. Much as Derek impregnating Mansa came as a surprise to her, her actions suggestedthat there was more to it. “Derek, get out of my room! You make me sick!! Get out! Get out!!” Mrs Bernard shouted at Derek. He had no option but to leave the room. Mrs Bernard was out of control… “No, I can’t deal with this. It can’t happen. I need to act fast. That baby can’t be born. It won’t happen” She said to herself. She picked her phone and called Rita to come to her place immediately. Asides Rita being an usher, she happened to be a part-time nurse at the same hospital where Elvis had died. Her involvement with Mrs Bernard was very suspicious. On the day Rita met Derek and Mansa at the hospital, she had already finished her shift and had changed into casual clothes. Chris on the other hand was aware that Derek had arrived and was looking for Mansa. He was determined to find Mansa before he did. There was a programme at church that evening and everyone expected Obed to be present. He was the main organist so he had no option. As to whether he’ll come with Mansa or not, nobody knew. Mrs Bernard and Rita had met to figure out what to do if Obed and Mansa came to Church that evening. Derek usually was not a fan of going for evening meetings but on that day, he was determined to be there just to see Mansa. Chris was also getting ready for the programme when he was told by the houseboy that Alice, his pregnant girlfriend, was looking for him. He had practically forgotten about Alice. His mind was focused on Mansa. He went to the living room to meet her. The look on her face when she saw Chris was murderous. “Mansa, I told you not to come here. Chris said, mistakenly calling Alice Mansa. That got Alice very irritated. “What?! You call me Mansa now? Oh I see, you actually have something going with her. I came here the other time to meet her comfortable on your laps and now you’re calling me by her name” Alice retorted. “Look, how many times do I have to tell you that she is my sister” Chris tried explaining “Sister indeed! We all know she was adopted so don’t tell me that” She said. “Whatever!” Chris fired back. “You think you can get me pregnant and get me sick and go away scot free abi?! You must be joking! For your information, I aborted the pregnancy just like you wanted. You have succeeded in getting rid of the baby. But for getting me sick, get ready for me” Alice said. Chris knew what she was capable of doing. This was not her first time. He knew Alice to be very possessive and she’d go to any lengths to fight for what she believed was hers. “And that Mansa of yours, tell her to beware of me. You have no idea what a woman scorned can do! ” Alice said and walked out on Chris. This time, Chris was a little frightened by her words… However, he ignored her threat. He quickly finished dressing up right after Alice had left. Without waiting for his Mum or Derek, he headed to church. Mrs Bernard and Derek followed shortly afterwards. You could feel the tension in the car as Derek drove his mother to church. They drove in absolute silence. It was obvious that each of them had their own intention for going to Church. In no time, they arrived to see that Chris had already gotten there. Obed and Mansa were nowhere to be found. They had not arrived yet. Everyone got seated and soon the programme began. Chris sat three rows behind Derek and Mrs Bernard. The programme line-up was handed out to all members present, including the Bernard family. To Derek’s surprise, Mansa was the one to lead prayers as indicated on the programme line-up. As soon as the praise and worship session ended, they arrived. The church was completely silent as Obed and Mansa walked in. Derek’s eyes met Mansa’s. She was looking different that evening. Mansa looked extremely beautiful. Everyone couldn’t believe the changes she had undergone. The long dress she wore fit her perfectly. Her dark skin shone bright as her ponytail showed off her beautiful neck. Everyone was in love with her beauty and elegance, especially Derek. Obed had to leave her to go to where the organ and other instrument were. Rita the usher directed Mansa to a seat. She had to sit on a plastic chair cause all the pews were occupied. It was time for the sermon, and the minister began delivering. All of a sudden, the service got interrupted by a noise from the back. It came from Mansa. The plastic chair she sat on had broken, making her fall heavily on her back. To be continued… Next update in the evening |
