Thanks for ur take, am learning here and I can't be angry about what will bring me success. I will like to state that I resigned from an IT work while I have been volunteering on a part-time basis since 2013, am currently working for the said NGO on a full-time basis now, secondly I av never used an agent for any of my travels even when buying my flight ticket, meanwhile I got a friend from Liberia that went for the winter cohort on an F-1 visa for same course in January, lastly applying for B1 d last time wasn't to run away, I got great project am working on and I got many opportunities to travel abroad thru my NGO and community activities am involve in. Thanks anyways
gunther6:

Disclaimer : I might annoy you but pardon me I mean well.

That been said your profile looks fishy and 'agent packaged' to me... You used to work for an NGO and you quit meaning you are currently unemployed (Red flag 1)

You applied for B1 (which makes the whole situation looks like Visa shopping)

You applied to a one month course in international development and social change ( most short term certificate courses don't qualify for F-1 but not all schools knows this)

Conclusion: The whole thing looks like an attempt to get into the United States without passing through the rigor of graduate application ( GRE, TOEFL, evaluation etc) and it is shoddy. My take; apply to a graduate program in this field, demonstrate your experience and get into a good school. Holla your agent for me but if it stinks like a fish, looks like a fish, tastes like a fish then it is a FISH

NB Read the disclaimer again I can be wrong and I lay no claim to omnipotence in this affair. If I'm wrong my apologies to Leye

Oga you too read well...why is it me that you are attacking? Did I quote you? What's your problem? Who did I misinform? Dude don't piss me off. Others said you look agent packaged. I responded to them saying I wouldn't have guessed. I'm sorry if you feel upset but don't take out your frustration on me. We all have our own things we are dealing with.

Edit: Oya sorry, iamleye

Again I wouldn't advise it, it takes time to process and send transcripts and any school that requires zero standardized test is probably not a good school. If you are willing to spend tons of money by sending your documents through courier(EMS doesn't count), lobbying which is just a fancy word for bribing just so your transcripts gets processed quickly, register for the next available date for GRE(May8). You can be done with the whole process late May but you can rule out funding and the entire process is likely to be error ridden or you can apply for Spring with peace of mind...

I will go against the norms by offering you a 'common sense' advice, don't go to the UK , a UK degree is not worth the paper it is printed on this days plus there is nearly zero chance for you to gain international experience which is the whole point of the sojourn. At the end of the day you might as well have gone to OSU(apologies to OSUITES)

You have not specified your program, tests, scores, schools we really do not have much to go on, a proper introduction is in order don't you think. Welcome to the most badass thread on NL.

Update : Actually you have; MS child advocacy and policy , Montclair state University. Did you write GRE and/or TOEFL?
