But why were you putting swabs in his ear in the first place? You're not supposed to. The swabs are meant to clean the outer perimeter of the ear (the part you can see). Swabs can actually push stuff inside the ear and not safe for babies. Go back to the hospital and if you're satisfied with the advice given to you, ask the doctor that you'd like to see a paeditrician. The paeditrician will then take a look and make some recommendations.

All mothers, cotton swabs are not safe for baby's ears because they cannot sit still and swabs can push stuff like bacteria (staph for example lives on everyone's skin, clean or not ) into the inner ear and cause wahala. Dampen a swab and use it to clean only the outer part of the ears. Don't worry about wax build-up for now, your child refusing to answer your calls is not that the child is deaf, he/she's being stubborn

Search well well as a lot of bouncers/rockers (i.e 90%) are till baby is 9kg/6 months. So by 5 or 6 months your baby may have outgrown it depending on his/her weight!

I am looking to upgrade my bouncer to another version as baby's bum don nearly reach ground with the bouncer i have. I am quite happy the one i have was a gift so i have not spent money on a bouncer yet.

Search for the fischer price infant to toddler bouncer/rocker, which you can use till 18kg or about 3 years. Not sure where to get in naija though. But if you can get it it will be a better investments as it converts to a toddler chair.

Otherwise save your money and get him one of those jumperoos/ activity center jumper things that take all the space in your living room . That should keep him busy for a while .

You can read back a few pages or use the search button.many mums have shared the meals they give their babies at that age. Some of these meals can be packaged neatly.for creche.
Meals like pap, custard , regular tinned cereals- friso, Cerelac etc. Then you can make adult foods if he eats it- mashed potatoes, mashed yam whatever meals he eats. Just portion it well and place in a good warmer/flask that's all.

How is the cough like? Does baby have catarrh too. Is baby running temperature? My had this dry cough and sneezing like an allergy at that age what I did was to start scrutinizing the people that carry him , it wasn't funny but I just explain to them that his immune system isn't strong enough so any one coughing was out of bound . Because he hasn't taken his 6weeks immunization. So I just gave him Vitamin C.
You can take him to d clinic for check up and do cover his chest always oo pls.

I just did circumcision for my baby today. if u see aw I dey cry when I dey hear his voice. but my baby stopped crying n let dem finish. d nurse was saying my baby strong o. even wen I was told to breastfeed him.he didn't cry rather he slept immediately.
