Story for the gods. The only thing that has united Ibos so far is their hatred for their big brothers, Yorubas.

How are yorubas big brothers to Igbo? Thats a hypothetical question so lets face the topic cuz same goes for the yorubas. The worse part is our parents had love for each other but we have gotten so bitter with each other to the extent we have not asked and answered a simple question, WHY DO WE HATE EACH OTHER AND WHAT DO WE STAND TO GAIN IN HATING EACH OTHER? My answer for both questions, NOTHING.
Tell me where i went wrong.

One of such Id!ots even opened a thread the other day to give a list of people suffering because they betrayed Jonathan and listed Agatu, mocking lives wasted there as a punishment for not voting Jonathan and your brothers liked that comment so much. When Fulani attack in the SW, they become so excited and call Yolobas cowards. Now it's happening in Enugu and the bastards have all suddenly kept quiet. There are so many fools from that region in this forum. Quite pathetic that human lives have no values in this country anymore.

For any post by Omenka, they are alwys ready to mock him by screaming Agatu. Too many heartless and wicked soul from that middle east of the country.

Stop deceiving yourself! Not a single fulani died in that attack. The fulanis are still there as at now. You guys are the real definition of cowardice. You were quite aware of an impending attack by the fulani herdsmen yet there was no resistance when the attack came eventually! Is this your definition of bravery?

Similar attack like this happened at Oke-Ogun in Oyo state sometimes in year 2000. When the dust settled down, there was no single fulani man,his house or cattle standing in the entire area. So, if you have any pride, you will not be talking about unverifiable figures of dead fulani here.

THIS IS THE STORY HERE....

It was on 13 October 2000, when words went
round that General Muhammadu Buhari was
leading the Arewa team to the governor’s office
to confront the state over alleged killings of
Fulani cattle rearers in Saki, Oke Ogun Area of
the state. Buhari did actually telephone the
governor that he was leading a team to his
office.
In less than 30 minutes after the general
informed the governor of his visit, we noticed
that the entire secretariat was already filled with
lorry loads of our brothers from the North. This
created some tension but we kept our calm. At
about 2 p.m., Buhari arrived in a long convoy at
the governor’s office in company of the former
governor of Lagos State, General Buba Marwa,
Alhaji Aliko Muhammed, Alhaji Abdulrazak and
Alhaji Hassan. They all wore long faces. In
fact, the anger in them was palpable as all
pleasantries extended to them were ignored.
“This is trouble” was the expression on the
faces of all of us in the governor’s office.
Shortly afterwards, the state Director of State
Security Service (SSS) and Commissioner of
Police arrived. But their presence did not
change anything particular on the fears that had
already gripped majority of us. The two security
chiefs did not come with any operatives, they
came almost alone.
Late Lam Adesina Photo NAN
The meeting was called to order after Lam
walked into the Executive Chambers.
Introductions over, Buhari spoke on their
mission to the governor’s office. Emitting fire,
the general accused Lam and the government
of Oyo State of complicity in the killing of over
68 Fulani people in Oke Ogun area and
perversion of justice.
His words: “Your Excellency, our visit here is to
discuss with you and your government our
displeasure about the incident of clashes
between two peoples… the Fulani cattle rearers
and merchants are today being harassed ,
attacked and killed like in Saki. In the month of
May, 2000, 68 bodies of Fulani cattle rearers
were recovered and buried under the
supervision and protection from a team of
Mobile Police from Oyo State Command.
“ That some arrests were made by Oyo State
Police Command in the massacre with their
immediate release without court trial. This was
said to have been ordered by Oyo State
authorities and they were so released to their
amazement. The release of the arrested
suspects gave the clear impression that the
authorities are backing and protecting them to
continue the unjust and illegal killings of Fulani
cattle rearers…”

IPOB Yoots. You people cannot continue like this. This never ending acts of desperation make u a laughing stock of the Nation. Now people go online to laugh or when they r bored and read ur comments just to relieve stress. It is really shameful. Ur already faulty media credibility will definitely hit a new low if the proper figures for this event is not reported.

Vanguard [new media outlet for IPOB] says 5, Sahara [APC media outlet] says 22. And the used pictures of Agatu-fulani and Plateau conflicts to say "see how they killed HOLY CHRISTAIN PEOPLE OF EBYGU STATE". Then they say the catholic church was burnt down with people inside, then fulani herdmen attacked.

WHICH IS IT?

Can you imagine. I felt really bad when they were taunting and tormenting omenka with the agatu massacre. And I was like how will people harbour so much hatred in them that they don't even see any evil in laughing at dead children, women and men. And that's the same attitude the ibo folks are exhibiting against the victims of boko haram. Smh

No matter how much we disagree with the ibo folks, I don't think any sane Yoruba will derive joy when innocent ones among them are killed in coldblood. If you'd notice, you will see that most of the mockery we throw at the ibo folks are usually ipods mockery and some other silly Biafra _shits.

I totally agree and support your second paragraph. Though I hear people say the Fulani herdsmen use a lot of charms when they are out to attack people.

Just shut up.

Is it not on this same Nairaland that pictures of Civil War Kwashiokored children are used to taunt the Igbos and remind them of the genocide? Have the 3 million dead Igbos not been a ready source of mockery and gloating on Nairaland and elsewhere for decades? Are Igbos not threathened often that a repeat of the genocide awaits Igbos if they provoke Nigerians?

So it's okay to derive joy from the killing and starvation of innocent Igbo children and women but evil for some Igbos to repay others in the same coin?

My brother, many Igbos are just reacting to the callousness and age-old hate they perceive from others in this same Nation.

Note: I frown at and do not support any form of celebration at anyone's death, no matter the tribe. I wrote you because I just want you to understand that we remember differently.

Thanks for this post! It made nostalgic reading.
I just hope President Buhari is a "reformed Democrat",as he claims?

But his silence all this while, despite the repeated massacres, "speaks volumes"! I hope he is not still nursing the anger he had with Lam Adesina, up til today because they says "Fulani nor dey forgive or forget"!

Karma is crazy.

It is so sad for this menace to come into the heartland of Ibo land, despite all their name calling of Agatus and pathetic fun making of them.

All the same, Fulani herdsmen are blood sucking demons will must all (Yorubas, Igbos, Ijaws, Itshekiris, hausas, Nupes, Kanuris etc) unite to either annihilate or deport back to Fouta Jalon.

Ten orijins for you sir....that is the koko of the matter...I know it is hard not to wish evil on the ibo haters but the Fulani herdsmen are an evil that must be resisted... angry

Animal. your tribesmen hate and envy the igbos. This is the truth. Your tribe is inferior to the igbos. The world knows this. The British colonialists know this. Your inferiority to the Igbos is the root of your inbred hatred and envy of the igbos. I repeat, I am not igbo and I dislike their aggression (not all of them), but I admit that they are superior to your smelly, dirty, hateful, animalistic race. Now go to Hell.

More noise. and Igbos love the Yoruba, Ijaws, Edos and Agatu people. You're not Igbo? Who ask you? Keep denying your papa land.
Instead of flexing your fats on NL, go and fight for Enugwu people. Yorubas are doing well grin
