Based on personal experience, even as a FTM, it is possible to enquire about VBAC - where there has been prior uterine surgery eg myomectomy.

sugah:

VBAC is vaginal birth after CS. Meaning you have had a CS before and want to do a vaginal delivery after.
As a FTM you should be asking for VD or CS.

I cannot come and waste my $1200 cos of epidural, grin. you know wetin $1200 go fit buy for me cheesy. infact it was not even an option cos I didn't even include it in my budget. it's either you make up your mind from the onset so you don't end up requesting for it at the dying minute.
I know someone that requested for it at the later stage of labour and immediately after administration before the epidural started working, her baby popped out
cry that is wat they call #wasteddollar#

You can start exercising and taking long walk, cos it sure helps to hasten up labour God willing.

Paid $15 at hospital to expedite the BC.
Thursday:Filled forms online for naija passports.
Friday: Picked 2 copies each of BC from Vital Stat Office
Bought money order($77 and $30) @ the post office.sent the $77 money order to Innovate1 services.
Saturday:bought infant tickets for the babies at the airport.called the US passport agency line to book an appointment for Monday.
Took the babies to Walgreens to take passport photos(2 set-1 set for US,2nd for naija)
Monday:Innovate1 confirmed the money order, printed the receipt and acknowledgement page.
Went to US passport appointment (infant ticket is a complusory requirement o)their office at Wilshire Blvd, paid for expedited and was told to pickup 2 days later.
**Booked a red eye flight to Washington(depart on Wednesday night by 10pm,arrived DC 8am on Thursday, head straight to the embassy, paid extra $85 for each baby for same day collection.finished by 1pm.travelled back to LA by 5pm.got home 10pm Thursday evening.
Note:Hubby is not interested in mailing US passport for visa and ETC is almost $1000 for 2 babies with postage(and just for 7 days).
LA is far from all the embassies because when you take normal morning flight you will arrive from 3pm and you won't be able to do anything that day that's the reason for red eye flight.

My family of 3 have a VISA interview schedule for next week but I am pretty confused. My B1/B2 Visa expired in March, now my wife is pregnant and she intends to deliver in the US, he immediate sister is a registered nurse in Atlanta and she is proposing my wife should come to the US for her delivery. However, in the DS-160 form, the VISA category I filled for myself, wife and son was B1/B2. Now the question is this:

1. Since she didn't chose B1 as her VISA category should we declare our intention of birth in the US to the VO at the interview?
2. Is it possible to cancel the VISA interview, refill a new DS-160 form, chose B1 for her and reschedule another interview for the whole family.
3. Should we go for the interview with the B1/B2 VISA category to either declare or not declare her intention to the VO
4. What are the merit and demerit of the these options.

Your advice is highly valued. Thank you.

There's iv medication that can be given to you if you dont use epidural, it helps with the pain. In my case, it even made me sleepy. Dr was shouting push, i was dozing off until my mum slapped me back to reality, finally the dr had to use a vacuum to get baby out because i could not control the dizziness.

Nne, just kindly use the epidural o! There s no award for forming strong woman. That pain no be here especially for FTM in which labor is usually quite long in majority of first time mothers.( can last abt 8-12hrs).
Unless during ur ANC visits ur told that your already dilating and ur cervix has dilated up to 4cm (like some pple have stated here) b4 ur in actual labor and u have a high pain threshold then you can think about it. Most women would be able to bear the pain if only labour didn't last so long.

1. Yes. You must declare your Intention . No 'pick and choose' in the matter. The visa catergory she ticked is the correct one.
2. No need. See reason above
3. See 1 and 2
4. That one na thesis. You have to pay cheesy . For that, you have to read the thread and form your own opinion. The only thing I can tell u is that failure to declare is misrepresention and that leads to deporting and cancelling visa WITH prejudice. Read pioot's posts

Why did happen? There has to be fixed price

ifyalways:
God has been good to me and mine. My "daughter" entered on Monday via JFK and no questions were asked, no secondary inspections or anything.

In my quest to make sure she got the visa, I paid El Paso hospital and Doctors fees in advance against the good advisory I got here. The deductions no be here ooo. $145 refund processing fee for Hospital bill, $250 again deducted from hospital bill and $145 deducted from Doctors fees. That's excluding the registration and Doctors letters. Nearly $750 gone shocked sad . . .Just sharing so no one makes same mistake as I did.

Varvara:

What happened where?

Let me reiterate : EL Paso folks were honest and straightforward with their charges and deductions as they will inform you before you make ANY payment. It was my choice to pay.

Doctors fees is $2500, minus $149 when asking for refund.

Hospital bills is $2500. An extra non- refundable $250 if you want to pre-pay. So total to pay for hospital bill is $2750. When asking for refund you get $2500 minus $149 service charge.

They explain ALL this to you before you make payment.

Are there any mamas that didn't use epidural for their first? How was it like? I'm still very undecided if I want to take the Hebrew woman route. I dey fear sha.

You have to decide so u don't give up last minute... for my first child, I almost requested for Epidural like 30 mins before my baby arrived.... I would have had the wasted dollar story too... lol. For my second I walked around a lot and did some squats before heading to the hospital when I got there I was already 7cm... it's not always as easy as it sounds, but making up your mind before time is key.... at the end of the day if u can't bear it, by all means request for Epidural ohhhh, experiences are different

I will do the same. Current visa started from August 2014 for three years. I delivered first in the OCtober 2014 and then I will deliver second baby in September 2016. I don't think there will be any issue

Babyidj01:
Good day house,

Just a quick question please, I got my b1/b2 visa in August 2014, used it for my 1st baby December 2014 and got back to nigeria January 2015.

My visa expires August 2016 and am currently pregnant with my 2nd baby, intending to travel 1st week of July because baby is due mid-August and get back to nigeria end of September.

Do I renew my visa knowing fully well my visa expires a month to my entering the USA, if yes, why please and if no, kindly state your reasons

Never heard of people using the same visa for 2 deliveries. Please help, what do I expect and say at the POE about this?

Thank you my good people

Spoke to them yesterday. Qatar doesn't provide hotel accommodation for promo ticket buyers. Even when you buy normal economy, your ticket has to have layover of 8+ hours to qualify for hotel. In other words if your ticket is normal economy and passing thru another stop before Doha (for instance Dallas-London-Doha-Lagos) the layover on each leg may be like 4 hours for each leg, so they won't give you hotel.
Anyway it's one of the cheapest tickets available today @259k today's price, so I guess one gets what one pays for... Only that the journey is long sha. .. Not for the faint-hearted.

16 hours in the air for one of the legs (in my case)

I wish I had the opportunity to have even tried all these different exercises with my first sef to have an idea how much pain I could take...with first, pain relief was not negotiable as I was been closely monitored cos my BP was shooting through the roof...the initial pain relief IV med was making me sleepy as well as seeing double plus making baby sleepy as well...so epidural was not even sth to think twice about...

So @Veka if you decide to go the non-epidural route, apart from preparing your mind for it, also pray that circumstances during labour and delivery are favourable...
