I think the op is right to some extent, relationship is about responsibility, why forcing a lady into a relationship when you can't cater for some basic needs. Financial stability is very important.

I beg who hold ur hands not to work and look good for friends??

As far as I am concerned, Jesus says in the bible that we bring our heavy load to him and not to one boyfriend somewhere.

Is your boyfriend your lord and personal savior?

Nor be your mate be billionaire, why are trying so hard to a leech, bloodsucker...
Go and work

Its a pity & a shame as well when ladies unveil the bitter truth dat wil spur u guys 2 strive a lil' harder and be financialy fit so u'll be able to maintain that spark in ur r/ship & marital life, u misinterpret it & conclude she's a golddigger. I weep 4 guys like u.

If it wasn't for that toto where would you be in life.

Ok... So first, you claim ti see a future in him, but you are ashamed of him. You claimed that the primary motive of a relationship should be "LOVE", but you are concerned with whether or not he impresses YOUR FRIENDS? Excuse me? Has it ever occurred to you that most of the "rich guys" you are actually crying about spend their parents money? Do you think long term or short term? How rich do you think those "rich boys" will be in 10 years time?

The most important value of a man is his future. How bright they are.. . There are a lot of guys who are rich dummies. meaning they got a lot in their pockets now but are likely to end up middle class in future. You are short sighted and all that matters to you is the glamour that comes with a relationship. You think with your belly and that's why you are exactly the type of chic to avoid.

My dad was broke when he married my mum. Looking at my family now you wouldn't believe there was ever a time my dad was ever broke. I'm so glad she didn't think like you. Because if she did she would have gotten married to a "rich young man" in 1990 who wouldn't have been a wealthy as my 2016 dad.

And what about you? Don't you have money? You don't have the right to want a rich boyfriend if you are broke yourself. Pressuring your boyfriend for money and show off when all you bring to the relationship is pussy and hungry friends. Only a broke girl places so much value on money. Lack of money doesn't make you broke. A shallow mind does.

Bye.

Most Nigerian girls almost always have their hands out....when will they stop seeing themselves as beggers. You are not yet his wife, yet you want him to take up the responsibility of your father. meanwhile, YOUR EGO IS WRITING CHEQUES YOUR POCKET CANNOT CASH.

Girls exhibiting confusion since yonder. Yall ladies want gender equality yet none of ya is up for responsibility. undecided. Must it always be the guy doing the giving Common this is 21St century, lets see new trends. BTW what now happens when that rich boyfriend goes broke Again this goes to confirm Girls unloyalty since yonder grin. My piece of advice. . Let that broke brother be. If you can't chill with him fine but you don't have to hold him to ransom or act like some alarm always reminding him of his status. Don't come shedding crocodile tears either when he's made it. Ask any of your mother's how many of your father's had it all in the beginning. Dumb hoes

well said. Am not disputing dat fact buh mind u, ladies are meant right frm creation 2 be supporters (helpmeets) but the endtime guys we have 2day wants them 2 even become the breadwinners

Do you know the function of a support (pillar) in a building?

If a woman was created to be a support why the cry over dating a poor guy?

Is she not suppose to support him being what she was "created" for in the first place?

I don't think any free standing structure would need any form of support.

Proverbs 31:10-31 is an all time model for women, but in this age and time I think it's an "outdated" model. grin

I see this write-up as bullshit, her reasons to me is not genuine, maybe she has not witness or seen some rich guys that are stingy.

It is true...men shud not take this as an offense on their side if they are broke financially, instead this is a wake up call for u guys to achieve something than juz sit down in ur house and do nothing...

Sm rich men r stingier dan broke dudes.. All dt matters is that, no matter hw little he's got hes able to give you

And many forget to tell the truth how rich poeple are good at over- using people.
I so love the truth spoken here by you. Being a giver is relative to level of what you posses. Someone who has 500k and gives out 5k compare to someone who has 20k and gives out 2k who is more of a giver?

I do say something if you someone (rich dude) who gives you little out of much means he will give you nothing (or even take from you) when he got little but if you got someone (broke dude) who gives you little out of his little, that means he will give you in abundance if he has much.

What a load of bullocks. Views like this make me mad. Why would any girl be looking to her mate being financially successful before dreaming of financial security. What is wrong with her own brain, hands and applying herself too.
The need to make somethint of yourself isn't just for men alone, if for no other reason, the satisfaction of knowing you can.
Otherwise, why bother getting an education etc..those things are meant to create better opportunities in life for those who avail themselves of it. If you can expect a man to achieve something because of these, then the same is expected of you.
You can't judge a broke person for not meeting YOUR financial needs when you can't meet them yourself not to talk of his.
