farydah: Is that the usual or just a one off thing? You might want to his increase his uptake of water ( cos this heat is dehydrating ( coupled with their high energy run around at this age) and veggies ( esp sweet or crunchy ones like carrots, banana, pineapples) |

Good mrn mothers in d house, I need help, just saw this thread, my baby is 2 months old, just noticed that he wees very little and there is a pink stains on d nappy, has anyone noticed dis before? What can I do to help him cos my MIL said it's jedi-jedi, I wasn't satisfied with her answer that's why I'm searching online, and from what I'm seeing it seems like dehydration, we've been breastfeeding exclusively but lately he doesn't feed well and I'm thinking of adding water, how much water can I give him. Thanks in advance for your reply |
Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by AlphaHandMaiden(f): 9:33am On Apr 26, 2016 |
pweeeetychi: First of all please take him to the hospital. It might be dehydration it might not be. It could also be caused by urinary tract infection which i pray it is not. Be careful with water as you may just end up filling his stomach with water and he is not getting the neutrients he needs. He doesnt need any additional water if he is getting enough breast milk. How often does he feed? Do you wait for him to cry before feeding him? Dont let the lenght between feed exceed 4 hrs. Express some milk and bottle feed him a couple of his daytime feeds instead of giving him water. But please let him go aee a doctor just in case it is an infection. 2 Likes |

FINA4804: If you dont get much with your pump, don't beat urself. Not everyone gets so much expressed milk with a pump. I EBF my first baby and she was so on point in her weight and general health and i hardly got up to 60ml with a pump. Now I'm EBF my twins, they are gaining weight for their age and i still struggle to get 90ml... I just feel its more of an individual thing 3 Likes |

Hi all, i am a first time mum, just had my baby 7days ago and i just got to know abt this thread on Nairaland today. I am a bit worried because my baby seems to be having colic, she hardly sleeps at night n cries alot. I heard abt mommy's bliss gripe water and i started using it for her. She sleeps a bit better now from like 11pm-3am but once shez up, shez still slpy but cant sleep, instead she whimpers till morning....Also shez on similac advancr which was given to her at the hospital but she poos alot. She had pooed like 4 times today, the last 2 just about an hour apart and she seems to poo after every meal. Considering changing her food to enfamil to see if that's the issue. Kindly advise on these 2 issues. Dont wanna panic n rush to the doc but wld do so if need be. URGENT PLS |

Its normal for baby to run temperature. Mine took his 10weeks injection today. So I just gave pcm syrup 6hrly, breast feed when hungry and play with him cause its painful. Please don't rub or press the site of injection oo we were warned seriously at d hospital so it does get swollen and result to serious problem. Try remove ur mind from d legs. He ll feel like this for abt 2days but just keep calm. dunamit: 2 Likes 1 Share |
