.....My take is that,since FCMB has credited its customers in UBE,then there is no reason why it should withhold Asari-Toru's....So,if you're been owed or is owing,don't blame it on FCMB owing Asari-Toru......E no go work.

You're addressing the wrong crowd coz I don't see school security workers or farmers/traders here.

Until we see our alert that guarantees that our monies are safely deposited in our accounts as at when due then we'll listen to you.

Wike is only one man, he can't be here n there at d same time. 4 sure I know he has good intention n is adequately releasing funds. Just imagine since march till now, I hav been paid 3 times. I'm even afraid of d triple payment. So tell me, if there is no cash will dis happen. If u are yet to be paid, n u hav gone to LGA or via ur HM or principal, know dat u are still on ur own. Jus go ratify it at d ministry.

first, i can hope with faith that, the first week part be true. HOWEVER, for your school security men, do they use a diff voucher or nominal roll for their payment.
ALSO, THE SMALL SCALE MICRO CREDIT SCHEME YOU MENTION, DID U OR ANY ORDINARY FARMER/TRADER GET THE FORM. A FORM THAT WAS DISTRIBUTED TO PDP state/lga/ward EXCO, shared among themselves for theip WIVES/GF/CONC n SIDE CHICS.

all the teachers in my school including d principal and vice have not been paid since Feb, we have been moving from the board to the ministry for more two months now concerning this issue, we have submitted several copies of our details both in hard and soft copy to d board and ministry yet nothing has been done. As it stands now we have exhausted all avenues to get paid, only the governor can help now. He should step into this situation because it has gotten out of hand. We were at d ministry yesterday my dear if u c d crowd there, u will shout. But everyone working at the ministry couldn't even address the crowd rather they shut their offices against us. We stayed there until late and had to go home. Now I'm getting ready to go there again. Pls if u have this same issue I will advice u b at the ministry this morning to c things for urself.

To buttress the fact that the selective payment and the verification exercise was a scam I have to inform the house of the following;

Yesterday principals of various Secondary Schools in AWELGA held a meeting with The LGA Education secretary alongside the LGA Accountant Mr Opurum.

They pleaded with the principals to inform those 539 Teachers, that there names appeared on the list(Those with BVN and Acc No issues) who are yet to be paid that they should be calm and that they have been asked to prepare a supplementary voucher to accommodate all of them.

They also frowned that those Teachers owed not longer come to work.

After the meeting,I met the LGA Accountant and collected his number,thereafter ask him to help me check if my name was in the list,he asked me to call him back by 9pm.

By 9pm,I called him and he told me that he is tired of the whole thing and that my BVN and Accountant Number tallied correctly.

I pleaded with him to talk to me in confidence and confirm if we have been tagged ghost workers. He said he wouldn't be able to say anything on that.

He said that the LGA VOUCHERS SENT FOR FEBRUARY AND MARCH SALARIES is still with him and that there is nothing wrong with the entries, but that the Government seem to be in a fix with cash,so they adopted this selective method of payment.

Finally he said,hopefully,those yet to receive Feb and march salary would be credited next week.

AS FOR ME,MY STANDING RULE OF NO PAY,NO WORK CONTINUES.

The Rivers government has recovered about
N1 billion in its ongoing staff verification, Gov.
Nyesom Wike has said.
Speaking at the first Port Harcourt Chamber
of Commerce Business Luncheon in Port
Harcourt on Thursday, Wike said the recovery
was achieved through the thoroughness of
the verification.
Represented by his deputy, Dr Ipalibo Harry,
the governor described the recovery as a
good omen for the state, especially in the
face of dwindling revenues.
He said that the government had also reduced
its overhead expenditure to about 40 per cent
as a way of adapting to the prevailing
economic reality.
Wike further said that efforts were being
made to enable the government to generate
enough funds to address infrastructural
challenges.
``We are working to generate internal funds so
that we can effectively tackle infrastructural
challenges in the areas of roads, hospitals
and schools.
``Such move is in keeping with our promises
of ensuring adequate social services and good
governance for the people of the state,’’ he
said.
Earlier, the President of the chamber, Dr Emi
Membere-Otaji, described the country’s
economy as `over stressed’ due to over
dependence on oil.
Membere-Otaji said that there was need for
governments at all levels to carry out massive
investor-enlightenment to open up alternative
areas of the economy.
``The over-dependence on oil and gas has
taken the nation backward and left the
citizenry impoverished.
``The time to act is now; the citizenry and the
investing public must have the enabling
environment to venture into other investible
areas,’’ he said. (NAN)

How can this money said to be recovered when my February salary is yet unpaid, many are still waiting for their February and March salary. The people at the helm of the affair make sure that their ghost account are been credited, while the innocent and devoted workers are the one suffering. Please governor should do well to fetch out those responsible for all these mess up.
