$275CAD. I paid last week tuesday but my documents from school were sent on monday. On IQAS' website ECA takes 10days business days.

Pls can you tell me hw u got ur transcripts from NLS? I've written several mails to them which hv all gone unanswered. undecided

Go to nls website, you will see a form for transcript you are to fill. Fill and get the bank draft payment for designated country you're sending to and send it to them. That's how I got them to send mine to WES.

1. They all assess credentials but so far WES seem to be the fastest based on experiences from people from this and other forums

2. You don't get any advantage for using visaexperts (Agents), they only capitalizes on people's lack of information to make business. Its the same route for all. I hope that was helpful. Good luck.
Thanks for your honest reply.
On the average how much more can one spend working with these visaexperts compared to working alone. And is it advisable to pull out if one has already started the process with an agent midway?
I appreciate your response man

Usually, most of these agents charge about $2,000 to do little or nothing.

Yes, personally, I would pull out mid way. Mainly because I do like to take charge of my life. I've seen cases where agents messed up an application pretty bad, the candidates pulled out, forfeited their initial deposit, packaged their application themselves and were successful.

Ok...I hope I'm not supposed to enter any number o...remember that our numbers changed during exams...mine flew from over 1,000 to 144 abi 0044 can't remember again.
I saw on d website sometime back that we'd pay 10k for 50th anniversary cheesy + 12k5 to send to canada/us is that true?

The cost of using an agent varies from one agent to the other. I was billed 1,500 CAD by a Canadian lawyer I visited in Toronto, I had to wise up when I checked the Naira equivalent, considering other cost involved. Thank God for Nairaland and other forums; I for dey cry for wasting my money now....... Its okay if the money has been paid already and you don't have to pay more, but no one will handle your matter like you and the information gotten in the process can not be quantified, Agents won't give you any info, its their business secret

You are right. If I had come across this thread earlier I would never had contracted those guys but well what's done is done. Lemme lick my wounds and move on.
You guys are really doing a fantastic job here. Everything you have said here checks out with what my agents are saying. So imagine my frustration at not finding out about this thread earlier. I'd still stick around though....those guys would be shocked at how much I know now and that will surely put them on their toes and ensure that I get my money's worth grin

Thankfully I just saw dt all dt is required is my name and year of call. I want to send my TC to NCA...still wondering if it's necessary for IQAS considering d one year of professional study thingy.

WES evaluates LLB as 'Bachelor Degree' (Four Years) and BL as 'One Year of Professional Study.
.
Are u saying with LLB and BL transcripts and certs they won't still assess it as "masters or professional degree required for a licenced profession" please clarify. Thanks

Chai!!! can you even choose two or more degrees??
Meaning what we have is just 4years of professional study? Law school made no difference o.
@justicia I think you should try IQAS....if you can wait for 2weeks...lemme see what d result of my ECA with them will be...so that u dont spend money twice like I did.
ok. I will wait. just keep us posted. Thanks. Am actually doing my masters in York uni now but I just thought since LLB and masters are rated the same I should go ahead now. If it's not gonna work I will wait to finish it.

I was thinking of same too. Why stress urself with transcripts and WES evaluation if you are almost done with your masters? Also remember you can also apply via the Ontario PNP Masters route too.

So relax and let's see how things unfold. Maybe they may even award more points to Canadian university graduates in the express entry system.

We are watching...

My Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) application was returned claiming that i did not summit the following documents;
IMM 0008 ‐ Generic Application Form for Canada
IMM 5562 Supplementary Information: Your Travels
IMM‐5406 Additional Family Information
Schedule 4: Economic Classes ‐ Provincial Nominee
Schedule A: Background/Declaration

But when filling my application form online i did not see anyplace where it was stated that those forms should be scanned and uploaded.
Anyone that has filled the form before should please put me through because am planning to re-apply.
Thanks as i await relevant response.

You lost about 35 points due to age. Is your spouse younger and has up to 3 year experience and MSc. too? If yes, then your spouse might be better as the primary applicant. If not, then you should probably look at PNP route.

Thanks for your reply. i guess pNP it is then. spouse is 3 years older though a medical doctor. will he be better as primary applicant for the PNP? (as per his profession)

or should i still go ahead - i'm a lawyer btw with an ll.m. He's writing IELTS this June

thank you for your response

This simply means you have not registered in cic website for your express entry profile. First step is creating an EE profile on cic website. Upon completing all sections it will generate your EE profile number and job seeker validation code for you. Without cdeatinGyour EE profile its not possible to register with the job bank.

Good evening@ Morgan, I have completed all the sections, it has generated CRS point for me. I have a no starting with E with 9 digits figures. In my status, it says Job bank pending but I can't find the job seeker validation code. Pls where do I get d job seeker validation code. Thank you.

Hello teehey,

kindly login to your mycic account and check where you have the message section you will see the first message notice from CIC after completion which reads "Express Entry profile received - Next Steps - JobBank - ". Download this message attachment which is a one page PDF document and in it you should find both your EE profile number and Job seeker validation code alongside steps on registering with the job bank. I hope this helps.

I think you should continue with your old profile since you already submitted through that profile. those missing files section will pop up as a tab called "continue sinp application." I had same issue sometime back and was advised by @superchi on how to go about it. Below was his response to me and it worked. you should try this too:

superchi:

Hey,

Use the check for completeness button.

You should see ''move to next stage of application screen''.

Step 2 of this is ''settlement funds, settlement plan screens''.

SINP PNP application is cumbersome but it makes you well prepared for CIC when you get ITA.

Let me know if it worked....I heard it may open again before June. So upload everything and be set!

Cos he is older, he will lose more marks under age. I think the viable option is for you to go through PNP.

You will need your Reg. No. too on the transcript form (not exam no.) and yes you are to pay the 10k for anniversary (I think this is a one off payment) and 12.5k for the transcript.

Yes, they don't evaluate as Professional degree - but the comment on LLB stipulated it is a first prof. degree in Nigeria and common law jurisdictions.

@suraj1st

In additional to the requested Federal Forms by SINP make sure you also include:

IMM 5562 Supplementary Information: Your Travels History

You will be able to resubmit your application only when SINP opens say before June.

All the best!

are you certain you have activated your card for online transactions ? If not , contact ur bank.
Is it a MasterCard or a visa card? I presume both works, I used a MasterCard though. I don't think the billing address has got anything to do with it.

So WES says candidate should send photocopies of certificate:
Does this mean separately from the transcripts? Would it matter if I send it together with the transcripts from the school? ( the people in the office are willing to assist )

Thanks

No Sir, WES will reject it once they realize u sent it. just allow the school to send it. U can pressure them to send the transcript but not for u to send. avoid paying 322.05 twice.

@zannyshasha
What I did was after appling for my transcript to be sent to Wes by the school, I made a copy of my certificate and gave it to them to include it in the envelop that was sent to WES. So the transcript was put in an envelop sealed, stamped and put in another envelop that had a copy of my certificate. I am through with my evaluation and I had no issues I did not have to spent additional money sending it to WES.
