A standstill that put an Emirate in yorubaland. cheesy

Shattap!
Afonja hired Fulani mercenaries to gain independence from Oyo empire. The Fulanis eventually overthrew his dynasty and established an emirate.
Did you expect Oyo to come to his rescue?
When the Fulanis attempted moving further they got badly beaten by the brave Ibadan warriors.
Go and read your history books.
Obo langido!!

Unity My foot........ We didn't make Unity before and we are not going to make it now..

I think you guys were Mocking Yoruba's when innocent lives were lost in LAGOS.. Why are you calling for unity now when it's your turn...

I do preach that Unity before, but I can see that Unity is not in your Dictionary......

Fight For Your Survival.... No Unity In South... SS, SE and SW stands on their own since amalgamation

Take it easy bro.
Hausa/Fulanis are experts in using divide and rule to conquer the south.
Biafra may have been actualised if Yorubas remained neutral.
We all most unite to face the assault from whichever direction it comes from.
SW should face theirs
SS should face theirs
SE should face theirs
That way, the Fulanis will be kept at arm's length.
Saying the south should unite does not necessarily mean that we should join forces.
What it simply means is that we should have a common goal of resisting the Fulani herdsmen and any grazing bill that will even make them stronger and bolder.

I concur .... We should know how to keep our land safe by ourselves.. But we should have the same goal...

If we southerners have join forces since, there won't be anything like NORTH controls nigeria..

But we have choose to live like enemy. And I will continue to support that until one of us regret that......

cheesy cheesy cheesy go back and read the entire chapter. If you can, the entire book. Christianity is not foolishness. Jesus told his disciples to buy swords. Peter was a Fisher man but he had a good sword that could take off a man's ear.

No group has ever been as strong-willed, strategic and brave as the Yoruba nation.
Yorubaland protected the rest of the south for decades. We countered the movement of the Fulanis from attacking SS/SE.
Now the chestbeating Igbos are being attacked, they wonder how the Yorubas were able to stand against Fulanis. Fulanis just showed them 1/10 of the attacks the MB/SW fought off, they're crying and fasting lmaooooo.
Igbos think bravery is my mouth and keyboards. When it came time to show their courage, they ran from their village, leaving their land for Fulanis to take over.

Any Yoruba that calls for unity between SW/SE is a bastard. Let the noisemakers fight their own battle. SW governors and leaders need to come together irrespective of party lines. These Fulani bloodsuckers are beyond APC/PDP. They're back to historical attack and invasion.

hahaha...u guys want to use this opportunity in which the fulanis attacked enugu to tag the igbos as coward, the igbos are not cowards and can never be.the fulanis attacked nimbo in the early hours of the day with arms, the youths cordinated a counter attack and they all fled, can this be said of the mile 2 crises?instead of the hausas to flee, the yorubas were the once fleeing and speaking hausa language to save their lives.i don't know why u guys see the igbos as a threat, the igbos condemned the mile 12 crises,d reason the yorubas became angry with the igbos then was because they asked oba akiolu to threaten the hausas with the lagoon word which he directed at the igbos who did him no harm or broke any rules.

...Yorubas are stronger than Igbos, Igbos are stronger than Yorubas, Hausas are stronger than Igbos and Yorubas, and so on. IMAGINE!!! This is the conversation that human beings are busy having, at a time when the blood of innocent is shed DAILY? Men are being butchered and chopped up like meat, Women are being raped and killed, and people who claim to have conscience, people who go to the mosque and church every week, a country where and overwhelming majority are religious, cannot even feel the sadness in the death and waste of human life?? ?? Is this what poverty does to people? Turns them into heartless and souless HUMANS?!!! I wonder. Instead of an all out condemnation of this hineous crime, we are busy fighting each other and playing tribalist. At this rate, this Evil will spread with menace. If we dont start getting all hands on deck, The Fulanis will win very easily!!!!

go and ask the british slave masters of their ordeal taking the igbos as slaves.this was how the civil war started, ahmadu bello was urging the hausa/fulani to continue killing the northern minorities and southerners in order to extend their jihad and convert them to muslim, nobody condemned him,but when nzeogwu(an igboman)tarnished him from the surface of the earth, all the other tribes started hating the igbos.if by tomorrow u heard that some fulanis were kidnap and killed by some igbo youths, this same people calling us weakling will start condeming us.

During the mile12 crisis, Yoruba youths were putting up a good show against the aboookis until the security personnel came in to help the abooookis.
At the end of it all, the Fulanis apologised on national TV.

Fast forward to today they are now been hunted by the bloody invaders

why don't you just give us a try and let's work together. Haven't you been seeing the headlines recently about the South Western governors that are pushing against the grazing act bill which is what all the Southern country needs right now and which therefore signifys that there is room for mutual alliance between all southern governors for a greater common goal.

It's never too late. This is 2016 not 1967.

We Igbos and Yorubas cannot work together. That's like asking a Tiger and a sheep to work together, not possible. We can only work to dissolve this country so that everyone can go their different ways and stop giving each other headache.

Conquered? We are not the ones that have an emirate on our own soil though, last time I checked we don't have an emir of Abia or Enugu like what obtains in Fulani annexed Ilorin...even after a bloody civil war we are still a pain in your a.s.s e.s, coming to your so called enclaves and making u tenants...it wasn't long ago your Oba Akiolu displayed a true conquered complex by threatening to drown Igbos in the lagoon.

Igboland has emirs and sultans protecting Fulani in Igboland, so keep quiet. They've even taken over Ebonyi with Islam. Who are the Emirates and how do they interfere with Yoruba movement?

By the time your masters are done in Enugu, Ebonyi will look like a child's play.

Talking about conquered complex, Nnamdi Kanu saw how Igbos have been conquered in Nigeria. In an attempt to free them from Fulani slavery, he himself got conquered. Today, he's decorating kuje's prison walls.
