You have your good name to protect bcs people have been dealing with your honesty and humanitarian services for years, u have helped so many people in this forum even myself about 3 years ago. You don't promise what you will not fulfil. Perhaps, no one can control your life by not pertner with a person of your choice, at first I don't know Soft to be frank and I was not ready to transact a biz with him but I did that because of you. He was smart enough to use your goodwill to start up otherwise I don't think people will fall into his trap. He devastated my biz by supplied me runts it was annoyed but his irrational argument aggrevated my temper.what I'm saying in essence is that you call him into order to know how to relate to a customer. I started using the the feeds on the 11th/03/2016 and have used about 700kg of it on the fish I bought from that same farm almost the same day. My fishes are doing well - health wise and in size.
The rest of the feeds-300kg- were bought from me by my co-farmers and they are still demanding more from me.

By so doing, I have one of the best grounds to clear the air on the authenticity and reliability of the feeds.

let me share an experience when I agreed with the owner of this colossal farm to do a turnaround in their fish section; we can maybe learn a thing or two from it. This is a farm that over 30million was spent and nothing to show and when the MD, family of the owner asked me how much I needed to kickstart the project, I said since we have good water sources that I would build and do the work with 150,000 and they were looking, the money was given and an hatchery was established and production began. The first production the owner came around with all is host or entourage and was happy, but I never knew not all was happy with the new development.The guy working under me flushed all the fingerlings away and the mgt said maybe because he was not knowledgeable and this happened thrice, but the owner wasn't always around and was busy chasing bigger things. After three months I left, I called the accountant that I don't believe in wastages and I don't see the people focus for bigger things. Just this Easter after two years one of them called that the new guy in fisheries wanted to meet me, but I said I was going to school.

That is the story, what were my sins: the guy working under me did some ponds for an oba and the oba insisted he wanted me to evaluate it, I got there and just gave my analysis and also visited his pig farm and gave analysis( the pic is on a pig thread where i posted a mistake in pig pen construction). the vet doctor on our farm built the piggery and the guy under MD constructed the ponds and both was faulty. the 150,000 I asked for isn't the type of funds they waste on the farm, hence I created opposition for myself. The owner said he wants to give me a brand new hilux jeep to ease my work, whereas except for the doctor and MD that uses such with the accountant that was given a car, but this is a vehincle that i will be the one removing the nylon if i will. The MD called me and said i should take His hilux and he will collect the new one(who will agree with such?i just told him to tell his brother). Every other person uses okada and a new consultant want to ride over them they must have thought.

Why am i writing this, i am a teacher by training and i know there is always individual differences and to have a balance,we must meet at a point that all will be happy. I asked Robonski the feed conversion ratio on facebook(agricnetwork) and he said it and it wasnt phenomenon that you would question the possibility and i said ok and he had come to clarify by stating is own. I wont want to talk about the runts sold, expect the one offended discuss it in detail, but i want to state that whatever grievances could be settled amicably. I havent met any of the testifier or complainant before, except there is meaningful thing in future, we might not meet till Jesus comes.

The MD wont release funds to work and later said if i wanted 10million , i rejected it because they only wanted to use my name to siphon funds which i could not be a party to.The long and short of the story, a farm that i once posted Having 48,000 poultry birds, now has 14,000, the farm we started vegetable and made returns in 5-6 weeks is a shadow of it self, the equipment are there, the structure is there,but the fortune as nose dived greatly.

hello house, these are my last advice to the house becos I can see that these people will stop at nothing to cover up their tracks which include begging friends and accomplices to stage their innocence even when they know they are guilty. My last advice is I still insist everyone should check the quality and cup content of whatever feed they are going to buy or better still ask for good formular , create the time and mill yourself. There so so much coverup in this issue and some people are so scared shit to speak their mind or experience. Best of luck to everyone in this forum. Goodbye and I rest my case.

@ house, crude protein or not, what am interested is - what was the effect of the feed on the growth of the fish? Is the output similar or slightly similar to other conventional feed?

It seems forum attention has now shifted to local feed production and fake feed that is now in circulation and has caused some businesses to experience loss, i want to advice those that have been victim never to allow such stepback deter them from succeeding, rather they should see it as a good challenge to prove their worth and become expert in feed composition.

As we all know, one of the major running cost in fish farming is the cost of feed, thereby your success in fish farming largely depend on feed quality and feed cost, and the only way we can be in charge of quality and cost of our feed is when we take CONTROL of our feed production.

A lot of research work are on internet on component of a quality feed for catfish that are beneficial to our production if put into use. I took the decision of producing my feed after i observed a sharp practice where i do pelletise my feed and discovered that my major component fishmeal was reduced and replaced with other junks.

Mr Ab1x formula is readily available on this thread and individual can make little adjustment to suite your environment. It hurt my heart to see people got burnt as a result of avoidable decision. Make the right decision by contacting people around you who can fabricate pelletising machine. Dedicate one staff to it if you cant go through the stress of doing it yourself. I would be ready to offer assistance if called upon. People have been of tremendous help to me most especially from this platform and i will want to reciprocate as a way of saying thank you. We should all begin to assist ourselves rather than make it difficult for starters and novice.

Hello people, lv been following the gelatine discussions with keen interest. I started using the feed about a month ago and so far used about 1.5 tonnes. The results are satisfactory, at least compared to the much more expensive feed l was using before. So looking forward to a bountiful harvest. Hope all these issues are sorted out asap, so we can all move on with peace of mind.

I guess the issue here is that so many people have put a lot of hope on the feed and they expect it to compete with the likes of coppens and skretting(durante). That's why there has been this much spark. Well I'm not here to judge anyone but I believe people should stick to what they know suit them. Some have negative report on the feed, while some said its working wonderfully for them, the question then is, is there various types of the feed out there, i mean is there high and low version of the feed out there?. where those that got burnt are those that purchased the low and poorly composed feed. I will just advice that the producers should monitor the making of the feed more to be firm sure that no ingredient is left out and all is done perfectly. Like I said I have not used it before ( cos i deals in seeds production more) so I can not judge or comment on it. For me , it is my joy to see it succeed so I can recommend it to my client and those that buy fingerlings and juveniles from me. It is good that the feed has customer forum group, where you can table your complaints. Its from here that they can be able to get it right. My advice is , on any feed that you have not used before, TEST it first before fully dabbling into it and I'm so sorry for that have lost one way or the other because of this.

feed use, the fish seeds,feeding & water mgt are majorly what determines our outcome at every end of every cycle in fish farming. Let's try our best to be sure of this parameters. For those that had one challenge or d other,may the Lord give Grace to overcome & recover. Another simple advice at this junction is when your fishes that you intend to raise to table size is observe to not performing as expected with time, instead of labour to force them to grow, pls if they are between 350-600g, just find a way to smoke them,saves cost,reduce losses if there will be any.


You cannot force a short man to be tall.


Also the use of vitamins in fish farming should not be relegated. There are fish premix, vitamins & aquapro that could assist in improving the nutrient of your feed with the conversion ratio.


To get profit in fish farming, you watch cost of feed,what feed you give, who feeds,how you feed,what quality & quantity fed, water mgt,fish seeds, timing.All these are essential & PRAYER shouldn't be left behind

Bought juveniles from Oga Robonski- Soft- Mr Kilani. The first headache I had was late delivery . The fishes were delivered almost a month after payment(delivered on 21st Jan, 2016).

-Started feeding with Multi feed and now on Durante.
-I've been pumping 2000 lits of water every 48 hours.
-those dudes are now on the average of 300g s, only a very few 500g can be spotted.

They explained last year about not selling runts. :-P

I booked for hybrid juveniles, but to my utmost disappointment they sent me clarias ijebu (post fries), more than half of the fishes were dead on arrival due to its fragile age, and their way bill method (what I went through to get my order delivered to me, is story for another day)..... It's been 4months now, and the highest size in that fish is 300 grams, my 2months old fish that I got from another source are way bigger and healthier than Robonski's magic golden fishes..... I had to refund some farmers that bought gelatin feed from me their money back... Instead of saving cost by patronizing Robonski and soft as they claimed, I incurred losses. Hmmmmmm My people, all that glitters are not gold. Thank goodness for people like stonedigital for being bold enough to expose this wicked exploit!

A wiseman once said that" the fact/possibility that we may lose should not stop from a course we know is just. Imagine waking up as early as 3am sometimes and doing the right thing to ensure my harvest is profitable and someone who claim to be a god in fish farming has already made sure I cry and have I blood pressure after 4months of hard labour. I don't care whatever goodwill nor way forward anybody is preaching in this forum, we should stop being hypocrites and remember that money earned thru I'll means will not last and only bring pains. Imagine sell king bad seeds and also selling feed that will not make a fish to grow, that is worse than armed rubbery. Robinski allowed himself to be corrupted by greed and soft was there with d offer. I mean what happened to slow and steady wins the race?. And some people are calling me names that I bought feed and was not satisfied and I had to destroy their image. Where was their so called image when dey decided to sell runts to people that gave their trust and hard earned money to them?. Beware of those that will tell u they are Godfearing becos they know that religion is the best way to decieve an African. They even called to threaten me. This is not the time yet for solution but for they to accept responsibility and apologise for their lust for money. I called robinski for 10000fingerlings and that am close to ado odo where his farm is, he told me they are renovation that they can only send the fingerlings to
Me if I pay to their account. I told him to hold his fingerli g that am old school that I don't pay for goods that I have not seen. When I called him the next day, he refused to pick. I guess I am lucky for falling just for their feed. Let's make them pay before listening to any solutions. Of course , about the feed, u can mill a local feed yourself that will contain a minimum of 60% crude protein if u ask people for formula in this forum for free. Also what I do about my seeds is buy Ijebu fingerlings for 4naira or 5naira at most and feed them with coppens starter feed that is very rich in protein for one month before I stock them in my original pond and start counting the normal month. Using such method will ensure faster growth of almost 90% of the fish before introducing 2mm of coppens. Please people should summorn the courage to speak up becos what did guys did is very very wrong to us.

It's either the producers are lying about the crude protein content or they are selling at a massive loss. Hence my decision not to attempt buying it. But let's be honest; does catfish need 60% CP at any point in production? Even coppens artemia contains 53% CP. Why not reduce the CP to about 40% and reduce the price to about #160 per kg .Robonski and soft should be bold enough to come and explain all this because silence will only increase the negative energy in the house already.

Only a blind man thinks the way he does things others do. There is no god in whatever profession, there are experts, even experts make mistakes.

One of d best producers of poultry birds lost 250,000 birds in a day in Naija,but they are still one of d best.
The point is you don't come to a diagnostic center & speak in bit, let the truth out as it is.

If any threaten,name them, post their numbers. I had challenged the op on this before, the thread is there for verification.

There is always a way forward when people reason soundly.

Apology could be one, input from experience farmers on this thread is another,so newbies don't fall into such experience.

Another thing is either you pick up your stock at production spot yourself.

About payment, depending on the farm, some u pay before supply.We paid N48M before the giant poultry producers in awe even thought of supply to d farm i mentioned. Why?there policy, durante u book ahead & many farms.
