Hi wonderful people in the house.... Here is my POE experience 1st of all I was able to get pta 4k for myself also 4k for hubby don't ask me where cos he is actually a staff of the bank as pta has become a big deal now but I thank God I also did form A of about 7k for hospital bill. Getting to JFK with my 2 other kids and hubby, my second child being American citizen. The cbp officer did not ask any single question from us he just started stamping us us in without duration. All he asked was "your daughter has blue passport how did she get it? He also answered by himself that was it when you came for vacation u had her and we said yes..... that was it BTW I had all my papers together and was ready to declare but what was I supposed to do in that situation when he already wished us enjoy ur stay... All praise to God.... 16 Likes 1 Share |

[quote author=Amother4life post=45167445]Please, anyone successfully used standbicibtc atm chip enabled card in krogers or at any other store for money orders recently? I tried and was embarrassed. Even pulling out $140 from the atm was denied. I was only allowed to take out $120 even though the daily limit is $150. . I would appreciate any response because it's getting ridiculous.[/quote Like seriously dis govt policy on limited atm withdrawal is a total mess abroad, d limit should only be for corrupt politicians, and not for hard working income earners, been embarrassed on different occasions, all I do now is pay via my debit card 3 Likes |

Amother4life: I don't know about Money orders cos I haven't tried that but I know the card generally declines my pin as invalid when I try to use it as a debit card. I've tried it at Babies r us, Walmart and even Sam's club mart and each time I tried twice as a debit card and it declined but the transaction was approved when I ran the card as a credit card. In that case you just slide it in, tap enter and sign. Maybe try that and let's see if it works. |

TheLeakyTribe: Thanks for the information but there was simply no option on the POS terminal in krogers to run the useless transaction as credit or debit. It just showed hit the continue button and then enter pin. Pin approved and the lady looked up at me and whispered the magic words...it won't let me process it. I had to pull out my card and leave because of the queue behind me.I simply can't be pulling out $120 everyday and paying $3 atm fee and #240 standbicibtc fee. It's sad that we have been reduced to this level. Was yours approved as credit in Walmart or Sams club? I may try those instead. |

Amother4life I am surprised your Stanbic card is giving you issues, now did you inform your bank you were travelling out? If you didn't then you have to send the customer care Nigeria a mail informing them your about the embarrasement the failure if the card has caused you , then your location and how long you may be staying ,once this is done you should be all good. I'm 100% sure this would help.cheers 1 Like |

MadameU: I called them twice and the representatives all said my card was provisioned to work properly. I have used the card for online transactions and for ATM withdrawals without any problems ( even though withdrawal was denied for anything above $120) but it just won't work at the POS terminal. At this point I'm not sure I want to face anymore embarrament. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by MadameU: 6:23am On Apr 30, 2016 |
Eeya kpele, don't bother yourself calling them anymore. Please just send out a mail. Then try again just incase it's a network problem. Sometimes these call centre folks know little or nothing. Try requesting their cards and e transaction folks to run a fresh check on your card. If they don't burge jeje use online banking to wipe out some cash and move on to the next available sensible bank. 1 Like |

Amother4life: Kroger is probably not charging your card for money order as pos transaction but as atm withdrawals. I had the same issue while I was there with atm withdrawals. Some days, I noticed I could only withdraw 120 and others, I get lucky to do the whole 140. 150 won't work because the machines only dispense in 20's. Try Fiesta Mart for the money order. I am 100% sure they charge your card as Pos transaction for money order which means you can do $350 but you will be charged an additional $1 for the transaction so have cash in hand ready for that. If its not working, just move your money to gtb since their prices are almost the same now. 1 Like |

Amother4life when I used my stanbicIBTC card abroad too it say pin blocked and transaction declined and it still goes through, so when the receipt comes out they tell me to sign o, I was just confused all through but I was able to withdraw cash of £100 at a go and also I was able to pay £250 on POS, I didn't inform customer service before travelling so I don't think you informing them is the issue, I think the way the store is charging the card is the ish, sorry about the embarrassment |

julzz: I'm surprised about all this comments on circumcision here. My son was circumcised in Dallas two days after his birth and he was fine. I don't see any difference, the only compelling factor for me may be if there was an extra cost but it was done by my own doctor at no charge to me so .... 2 Likes |
