Mr Man, I'm not sure what you are on about. Are you for evil or against it?

The man cannot help himself so does that justify his action? Do I just start opening my 32 with such an individual because he apologized? Of course I must be weary of him. I never ever ever want anything to do with such a fellow.

As for the wife, she is very very free to defend her husband. As a matter of fact, my write up shows I didn't expect her to bad mouth her husband in public but when you begin to lie, I have an issue with that.

When a woman, a mother begins to tell sordid lies while trying to insinuate my husband was hitting on her then I have a big issue with that. Defend your husband as much as you want but don't start making up stories of someone approaching you and asking for your number while you were putting on a transparent cloth!

Like who says stuff like that? My husband doesn't even have your bloody telephone number. Why make up lies so you can equally have a disgraceful story like what your pervert husband did? My husband was acting funny around you and you have been smiling with us and greeting us cheerfully? You even came to invite us to your church singing program the week before? Who does that?

That lady said heavy stuff on that day. That is a woman whose kid n I will be chatting like no tomorrow! Her kids will see me and run up to me for a hug? Her kids were the major reason my husband never took it up with her husband. This is a family we never had issues with until the peeping tom incident.

Listen, I don't know if that lady is your friend but tell her she has set her husband 100 steps back. She wiped away her husband's apology with her lies and attitude. Let her ask God for forgiveness for those things she said because I and my husband have committed all those things she said before our maker.

She cannot have peace for those things she said against my husband until she confess to God and amend her ways. I don't expect them to ever apologize but that is their cross not mine. We are very gentle people and my husband had the utmost respect for her and her home. We are a christian home but we are not fools.

While she was denying stuff and making up stories against my husband, I went on my knees before God and said certain things in prayer with a heavy heart. If I am making stories about her home, let God handle me as he wills but if its her then...

M done on this issue...
Woman, brush up your comprehension skills. "Mr man"...that says a lot about your character and so much for your Christianity.

I do not think he was attacking you. I believe he meant your husband did not a act as expected of a man whose wife's dignity was being abused. He said he was expecting your hubby to have ranted the moment he caught the man doing it instead of handling such a sensitive issue like a gentle man.
Thank you. We need more intelligent people like you on Nairaland.
This is what happened. The agent is my neighbour so men in the compound were chilling outside when her husband called. After dropping the call, we analysed the situation and we all agreed that her husband should have, on that spot, dealt with the guy and not wait till daybreak. As a married man myself, I will never wait till daybreak. Never. I don't know the woman nor the OP nor her husband. We just gave an objective analysis and look at all the balderdash she quoted me against. Good luck to her.

Was the agent the one who peeped? Or will the agent get arrested for a pervert's crime? Or an agent does have the right to discuss issues with his friends?

you have answered your question.the agent discussed with HIS friends, not his client. Now if this information gets to the client,as it most likely will. The agent may have a lot of unnecessary explaining to do,that's my point.

Nobody will openly encourage violence...cos if it happens the agent himself will be the first to deny ever encouraging it.

So dealing with an issue on the spot as suggested by the agent has to be violent? And how did he encourage it? By expressing his mind to his friends or to the man whose wife was peeped on? And would a man of sane mind be told to dip his hand in fire and he would do so because someone discussed it. The agent has a right to discuss any issue just as everyone is discusing Tiwa right now.

Done with this issue. AOB? Especially Fulani herdsmen and Tiwa?

Everyone is different. Every family will do things their way. I choose to confront the pervert the following day before I left for work. I have no regret on earth for doing so. If I didn't meet him outside, I would have gone to knock on his front door and had that chat whether his wife was home or not! That is me. If anyone feels its too forward then that's their opinion. I respect your opinion but don't agree with it.

My husband chose to speak with the pervert's wife, agent and landlord. That is him. That was his way.

At the start of my story, I said I wasn't looking for advise, pity, people to side with me or urge me on. I am merely telling my story. It is a lesson for everyone especially women. The madness in some people does not necessarily cease just because you are married with kids or not.

That responsible looking family man may not be so responsible after all. Be security conscious, be very prayerful. And If you live on the ground floor be especially careful with your curtains and windows. They are mad people on suit and tie.

If the pervert is watching you today he will be raping someone tomorrow.
Get the women of your compound together and take charge of this criminal.
I would make sure that when finished he had no equipment for raping women and children.
gerrrat hereee! Not all voyeurs are rapist!!! And just exactly what you think i am ...?

Women. Making a mountain out of a molehill.
As a boy, I remember how I walked in on an older cousin dressing up with the other girls in the room. I had only given her bra and white panty clad figure a cursory glance o, before she screamed and started running about. Of course this only made me look more and grin in confusion. Didn't end there. She had to berate me later in front of the entire family say I was staring at her. Everyone simply laughed and I said sorry. But alas, she had sufficiently piqued my curiosity and entered in my cumbank. See? If she had just let it slide she wouldn't have been the subject of many a hot and dirty daydream. angry

What if the man was saying the truth?

What if what he actually saw that made him use his flash light was indeed an alley cat? But in the process noticed your window open and unfortunately her husband woke up at the point?

What if the man simply apologized because he knew it would be hard proving his innocence and probably wanted peace to reign too?

What if the wife knows and believe her husband wouldn't do such and is indeed innocent of what he's being accused of but isn't the type to argue too much and is only trying to fight for him?

Just in case you missed it, the Op stated she wasn't sleeping nüde, so is there the possibility the man wasn't even checking her out? I mean it's 5am?

I don't know why, but rather than join everyone calling him a pervert, peeping tom and whatnot, I'll rather give him the benefit of doubt.

If you've ever been in a situation were you had to admit to something and apologized just so peace can reign, then you'll understand the angle I'm looking at case from.

Very smart contribution but if you had taken time to read through this thread you will notice a poster wrote this..

When your husband called the agent to narrate the story, I was with him. The agent confronted the guy. He felt very sad and remorseful. He apologised profusely. He doesn't like what he's doing but he can't help it.

Nobody owns up to allegations like this just for peace to reign, just like admitting you touch little kids just for peace to reign. If you are innocent you will go out to prove your innocence. Some people are sick, they need help,as we pray for them, please protect yourself and loved ones.
