My kid Brother has been experiencing running nose (catarrh) for as long as I can remember. He is 21 years, and this scares me alot as the issue seems incurable. Sometimes, he experiences headache which will disappear upon medication. Please any person with hints, advice or permanent cure to this shameful condition should please help.

He may allergies that is the same shii I had since birth too. Never had a dry nose. Never had two nostrils open at the same time.
Does he have stuffy nose, sneeze, cough, etc? Was he asthmatic as a child or his condition was not investigated by a competent doctor?
The condition is not shameful, a disturbance yes but shameful? NO. He is just reacting to dust, fluff, dust mites and other small allergens around his surrounding.
But now I am using positive thoughts to guide my overall health. Step by step I have arrived at good health.
He should go see a doctor and get some clear answers based on physical medical examinations. I can't say for sure what he has.

Welcome, he should go see a doctor to give him meds to relieve the symptoms. He has to know what triggers his allergies and try to eliminate them from his surrounding or reduce them to the minimum.

It could be frustrating. He should hang in there. He is not alone. Regards to him.

For now, he should get pherneghan OR piriton and take 1 tablet. It will cause him to be sleepy but it will relieve him and give him some peace. He should visit his doctor ASAP for more detailed check and prescription.

Is his bedroom well ventilated?

I went thru similar experience.
So I avoided the following:

-I leave the kitchen area whenever "frying" is going on.
-I don't sweep, especially rugs, I move far away whenever someone is sweeping.
-I am always conscious of my environment, whenever I inhale anything foul, I leave the place immediately and breathe in fresh air.

Your immune system may be stronger than that of ur kid brother, U can't compare just like that.

You must rule out any damage following head trauma, did he have any in the past ?...take him for a skull X ray.
Skull fractures at the base can leak csf, presenting as chronic nasal or ear discharge.
