Good day gurus in the house; I have a serious problem with my gionee p4.
It has been misbehaving lately so I thought maybe it has been affected by a virus, and so I decided to restore to factory settings.
However after rebooting, it has been working well at all; the launcher is no longer working; notifications no loner showing; WIFI goes on by itself even after switching it off....
Please please please, what can I do to solve this problem urgently?

I discovered I needed to update to the latest software but to my greatest surprise the problem is still not solved after wasting over 800mb on the update. meanwhile it was even indicated on the update that it was going to solve playstore download issue.

Helo, it is bn a long time that I may visited this our great thread. Check previous post. But I can still remember that u need to remove or freeze the apps called 'gionee Stat' and another of related name. Those two apps are useless

for now that method doesn't work on KitKat but if you were on a custom ROM like aosp v1 you would have an equaliser

bro I really urgently need your help on how to handle gionee p4 virus infection,at first it started hanging so I deleted some applications with no success so I rested the phone through the phone settings still no success so I went as far as formatting the phone from recovery mode and now the virus is at high level....now it pulls down the notification bar constantly,you can't operate the phone when is in that mode unless you off/on the phone before you can operate it,what will/can I do to restore it,custom rom (popkat custom rom) or stock rom or take it to gionee experience center.

it is advisable to take your phone to the service centre.
