live tiles, good battery, complicated but secure and mature OS/UI, no virus worries, windows now has more available apps for your everyday usage, moreover, android packs many useless apps with virus. And average lumia phone of 1gb ram will do better than an android with 3gb ram. (windows phone remains stable after a long use with sooooo much apps download with 1gb ram. can't say the same for android that will start dragging after installing nerous apps with 3gb).. it's many bro. you just need to be patient in learning about the UI at first. once mastered, you'll never use Android again. 8 Likes |

I have been using Windows Phone for years now.. in fact I started with Windows Phone before Android phone and to be honest, I will trade 100 of Android phones for just 1 Windows phone.. . like someone says, the phone have perfect camera, strong screen (scratchless), high end security (you don't have to worry about virus), perfect UI, my best of all is Cortana (Personal Assistant) (that girl is crazy). . Everyone shouting “it's bad” are set of those people that I will give my phone to and they will be asking for MENU and those that use Windows 7 of course. The only thing you can possibly hate about the phone is shortage of Apps but also all App you can possibly needed is available on their store, apps are not crowded like that of Play Store, you won't search for a single word then got millions of app with same features and usefulness like Android. . Bro, so many that I can keep going but I need to prepare for work. You can find someone with it and test it or just go online and read about it. . . Modified: Latest OS update is available for everyone, unlike Android, high of people using Android have not even upgrade to Android 5 yet they released OS 6 and working on releasing 7 (who does that?) 13 Likes |

Samtoby: That there is shortage of apps on the app store is enough reason not to buy it.. except you are buying the phone for basic reasons only 1 Like |

Android is still the best operating system on mobile phones, don't let anyone deceive you into buying windows or whatever, except you will be using them as a secondary phone |

TrueHeart365: Virus cannot harm the android operating system. Don't say what you don't know. Also stop mixing hardware features of a phone running windows and the operating system itself. It seems whenever you guys gear windows phone, you assume they are talking of Microsoft devices only. HTC, lenovo and many other brands produces windows phones too. |

If you are a business person, windows phone is just the best. I use Nokia Lumia 1520, I bet the performance is better than Blackberry Priv. 1. My fully charged battery will last me for over 30 hours of continuous use for calls, messaging, e mailing, internet surfing amongst others. 2. The speed is just excellent, I have never experienced it hanging. 3. User Interface is also very good. Easy navigation and cool design. 4. I process an average of 10 mails per e mail address daily and I have nineteen (19) different official e mail addresses set up on the device and with optimum performance. 5. The phone has a 21 megapixels high resolution rear camera. Several friends have used my phone as professional cameras because you just wont believe its output and edit capabilities. 6. I use windows 8.1 but planning to upgrade to windows 10. Its just another computer for me. 7. The video playback quality is just like a 3D session and it has an auto projection inbuilt with the phone which allows me to share my screen automatically with a miracast enabled TV/projector. 8. I used to have 193 different apps without any impact on the phone but recently deleted some, left with 147 apps, some which are as heavy as 918MB, yet the phone performs excellently. 9. On security, no virus threats and I have an inbuilt mobile tracker which allows me to read all messages, facebook, whatsapp, calls log with recorded audio conversations, locations, wipe data, lock phone, snap picture and so on remotely, especially when the phone is stolen or missing. This is just to mention a few but I can go on and on. Forgot to mention, the time I got the screen broken, I paid N41,000 to fix it. I have used the phone now for over 18 months without a cover or protector and it still looks new because of the anti scratch design. 3 Likes

franklin007: That's a big liar... so within how many months, people will start becoming windows developers to overthrow the existing millions developers that are already on android who also keep making applications on playstore? That's the biggest lie ever. |

haibe: In as much as I am an android fan too, I dare to differ with your statement 'virus cannot affect android operating system' Virus affects android OS. Have you heard about engrils, time service, monkey test , systeminfo, mobileocr etc?? Those are viruses that affects android OS and are always frustrating. Don't get me wrong, I'm an android fan and I'm just trying to correct your assertion that virus don't affect android OS. I use an android phone. 1 Like |

Re: What Is So Special About Windows Phones? by olayinkajnr(m): 7:21am On May 06, 2016 |
franklin007: That's actually not true. Even the diehard windows mobile fans can attest to that. Even the latest windows 10 don't have more apps Dan android not to talk of win 8.1. An android phone that is still on version 2.1 still enjoys more app than the latest version of Windows |
Re: What Is So Special About Windows Phones? by haibe(m): 7:26am On May 06, 2016 |
olayinkajnr: Well to the best of my knowledge, Google claims their operating system right from 4.2.2 is invulnerable to viruses and I haven't encounterEd virus on android since I started using them, that virus cannot affect android is evident on the fact that there are no antiviruses on android, I mean real antiviruses. I seem to think you are mixing malware with virus. There are no viruses that can affect android. |

haibe: We all learning and thanks but what can you say about this 'Malware is short for malicious software and used as a single term to refer to virus, spy ware, worm etc. Malware is designed to cause damage to a stand alone computer or a networked pc. So wherever a malware term is used it means a program which is designed to damage your computer it may be a virus, worm or Trojan'. http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/what-are-malware-viruses-spyware-and-cookies-and-what-differentiates-them |
