Reyginus: Can you add anything to perfect again? Is the song different because he's high on weed or the quality of a song written when high? Absolutely the quality. And we have a Perfect Song Writer so he'd definitely write it. So, try again, what type of song can a Perfect Song Writer not write?
I really restraining myself from insulting your intelligence. You didnt even bother to think about what you read in my comment. I gave you a clear example of a song that came about from a random event. You can't sit down and write it because it is not something that could be thought about. A random epiphany. There is an episode of the Flintstones that had Fred Flinstone become a music superstar by accident. A rock or hammer fell on his leg and he started shouting "ay ay ay Iyogi ay ay ay". His friend loved the sound and it became a music hit. What kind of song writer would be able to sit down and compose "iyogi ay ay ay ay"? As for the weed or cocaine high, it is unique to every individual. Vybz Kartel smokes weed and becomes a philosopher poet. Kid Kudi takes drugs and becomes a suicidal poet. A great song writer could not write what another person sees in the haze of highness. |

Well, I received a lot of unfair abuse and bans during my evangelical days. Nairaland was not always fair to atheists then. And I was not perfect myself- I used anger to react to the bias and then, the biased people use the anger as a retroactive justification for the ban. I was even betrayed by one of my disciples.
So yeah. I just do the little I can these days. Omg. Who is that disciple |

Meeen this is turning to something else. Rey and LB I think it's time to end this chapter. Like I said yesterday it requires a great deal of reasoning to get this. I remembered that I always find fault in those words whenever it's mentioned right from my early university days without actually knowing why until later. Please both of you should agree to disagree |

Weird Atheism
Has anyone seen a dramatic change in lifestyle after becoming an atheist? I know different people have different reactions but here is mine;
After becoming an atheist-
1) I have become more thoughtful about things. But this has also made me moody. This is because I am starting to realise that life is unfair and that so many people waste their lives for useless things like religion and wars.
2) I'm more interested in science fiction and the supernatural. I keep wondering what is at the end of the universe. I consume horror and sci fi movies like a madman.
3) I'm a more curious person. Nowadays, I tend to demand for proof or more explanations for things.
4) I can't stop thinking about death and history. When it comes to death, I just wonder why we are here in the first place when it is so easy to die and never come back. As for history, I keep wondering about the generations before us. When I see an old house, I imagine the people who have lived there and died there.
5) Children. My love and pity for children has grown. I realised how much misinformation we are abused with as children. The religious indoctrination and the cultural taboos. I try to teach children whenever I have the chance.
6) Hatred. There is this hatred for deceivers and false prophets. There was a time I even sat next to a pastor. This guy was so fake with all his jewleries and he was talking to me gently. Despite his gentle approach, I moved away. I could not just stand his fakeness. The clown was talking humble but has jewelry worth millions on his hands and necks. I can't even listen to christian preaching anymore or even Nigerian politicians when they speak. They lie lie lie lie.
Have you guys changed in any way?

LOL. So true. In addition: Everything about religion is quite surreal to me now. Whenever I hit the church, I don't seem to have any sense of belonging, it seems I'm just outside looking in. I am more critical of every sermon; I dissect and analyse each of them which always make me chuckle, and at the same time, angry at how humans with brains could swallow such putrid without flinching. I don't try to live good based on expected reward or to escape eternal punishment, I live good cause it'll help our continued existence. I keep hoping that one day people will come to accept the world the way it is and stop living on sugar-coated reality painted by religion. I'm moved by suffering and death. I sometimes wish I was a god.... 2 Likes 1 Share |

JackBizzle:
This is quite ironic seeing how you pull phrases like "God's perfect nature" out of your azz. How do you know that God is perfect?
Even your own God says that he is a jealous God. Thou shalt have no other Gods before me?? Why?? God can't bare the fact that some people prefer Zeus and Buddha?
However, that is besides the point. The fact remains that it is logically impossible to defend or even imagine something that is "all-perfect". Such a thing cannot exist. Perfection in one area usually means imperfection in another area as we have demonstrated here.
If someone is perfectly good, that means that he cannot do a lesser evil in order to stop a bigger evil.
For instance, you're in the north as a christian and there are boko haram terrorists going around killing christians. Unfortunately, a boko haram member gets lost and finds his way to your hideout. You hear him cursing christians and infidels, and by chance, he sees you guys hiding through your window. He brings out his phone to call his other members........
.....the right thing to do is to kill him or at least, knock him unconscious. However, he will fight to the death, so killing is the most likely action. Would a perfectly moral person kill him? No, the perfectly moral person would either try to reason with the terrorist or run. Both of which will get the perfectly moral person killed
It is your opinion , you are not doing well by being dogmatic about it |
