You see how quick Buhari unleashes the military to respond to the Niger Delta Avengers issue of sabotaging oil installations but NEVER attempts to address through the same military, the issue of useless fulani idiots killing people with impunity in the South

His bigotry and hypocrisy stinks to high heavens.

If Buhari choose to use force instead of dialogue on those NDA, Nigeria must prepare for complete shutdown of oil installation in the ND region, all oil workers will flee onshore and offshore platforms and oil installations would be massively devastated and production would stop because those militant will expand their scope of destruction thereby crippling the economy like it happened during obasanjo time if not worse.

See long epistles!!! Have you heard of guerilla warfare? Shebi Buhari gave such an order in April which led to the deployment of military personel in the region? Was it able to stop the latest attacks?

But you know very well that the Nigerian Army has no real experience in guerilla warfare and that's the fear. They will go on a killing spree and annihilate communities .The militancy will reduce or stop due to heavy damage that will be done in that area.....no major place to hide and launch guerilla attack except hinterland.

Expect to see uprise in criminal activities in the cities outside the creeks....shouts of human right violation....international court of Justice case, Nigeria will lose the case and use oil money to pay communities compensation and militancy will go a long break.

Wrong move by the FG. The only solution to militancy in Niger Delta is negotiation. In the coming weeks you will understand my point. These guys have pipelines in their backyard they can just wake up one morning and blow it up. They can intimidate the foreigners and expertraits to leave their soil and also make it difficult to lift a single barrel of oil from their region. Except Buhari wants to declare full war on ND it is impossible to crack down on militancy and saboteurs.

This is very exciting. We want to see militant camps being blown up and militants being wasted like BoKo Haram or Fulani herdsmen. However it is not just a job for the military. DSS should do their work.
Niger Delta militancy is a simple problem.

1. All communities close to all installations should be penetrated by cells of informants.

2. The DSS should insinuate their men into the community relations and security department of all oil companies.

3. There should be a database of all companies involved in pipeline repairs and their employees.

4. There are currently APC friendly militants who want development for the Niger Delta. The FG should empower them with spy networks to ferret out information about militant camps.

5. Some unemployed youths in the area can also be used for special surveillance.

6. Immediate deployment of dense networks of UAVs for night surveillance of suspected militant camps.

7. Since Chevron an American entity was hit, the militants have now done irreparable damage to their own cause. Intelligence should flow easily to the Nigerian military about locations and coordinates of camps.

8. GSM tracking and computerised algorithms bought by GEJ to be used for security tracking of Boko Haram terrorists should be deployed into the Niger Delta. These are astonishingly very effective

9. Finally Precision Guided Weapons should be used in engaging militant camps. No need to go on gun boats and have a fair fight with terrorists.
Well said, bro. Thumbs up for you.

Buhari is opening many battle fronts for the Nigerian military. Boko Haram is still killing soldiers in hundreds, now militants who are better equipped than both the army and Boko Haram combined have joined the war against this government. I'm sure that by the time IPOB arms its members due to the continued killing of Biafrans by the army, Nigeria will not stand the heat for one month.

While you might be right the other two be rest assured the enrire enclave called Biafra will be vaporized in days should Ipob result to arm struggle. The hatred Kanu propagated into the @ of other Nigerians is still bright in our minds n we cannot wait to go. I particularly would love to give the igbo race a piece of the Rwanda genocide treatment so that next time you all will understand propagating hate is not the way to go.

Odikimi,

I strongly stand against military approach to this militancy issue. From your post s and comments, I guess you are from the Niger Delta area. What do you think is the best solution to this militancy?
First of all, tell your APC to apologise to the region for Buhari's description about them as 5%.
The reason why I am angry with Buhari is that phrase "5%".
By that statement, he sees us as conquered region.
Secondly, tell your Buhari to be careful about characters like Timipre Sylva, Michael Johnny, Ayiri Emami etc. These are the people behind this bombing just to rob Tompolo. You can hate Tompolo or like him, but he remains how leader. He is the only one, I repeat only one who can put an end to this vandalism. He single handedly fought Buhari's army brought by Timipre Sylva to Bayelsa for the governorship election. The major reason Tompolo is being pursued today is because of his refusal to support Timipre Sylva in the aforementioned election.

Buhari apply wisdom in dealing with the militant issue. A simple dialogue with the militant will calm the situation down.

The militant are not asking for too much from the federal government they only want government to make the development of their area as a priority.

President Buhari should build on the solid agreement left by his predesessor, President Yar' adua and President Jonathan. This two president approve financial compensation for militant, skill acquisition training for militants and indigene from affect areas. infact, many militant became rich over night.

I think Buhari should see how his government can attract development to the niger delta area. The federal government should develop the niger delta just like what they did in Lagos and Abuja just for peace to reign.

If the federal government takes up arms against the militant, the oil and gas facilities will be destroyed and that will not be good for the federal government that relies 95 percent on oil revenue.

So Buhari apply wisdom and common sense in handling this issues. Boko Haram does not have strategic installation in their area, Ibos do not have but the niger delta have that makes the niger delta area a very delicate issue which must be treated with wisdom.

No dialog for criminal like boys. Now we wanted to know well armed

Let them go ahead and destroy the pipelines in their backyard. When the military arrive their young men 18 and above will pay for it with their lives.

We have been dialoguing with these nincompoop for years, they first gave them NDDC to address their developmental issues ,then created a Min of Niger Delta, the only Ministry in Nigeria whose job function is not national but to a region, and later they started giving them money directly and sending them to school and training under the Ammnesty program.....

Yet they still blow pipelines enough of the discussions and negotiation the FG should declare a total war on the Militants even if it will bring Nigeria's economy to her knees ( which won't even happen) and let it last for as long as possible ( the Militants can't sustain a war beyond 6 months) but enough is enough let the government end this once and for all

Going by this I think i will advise my brother and other oil workers should jst go and look for another job cos if case is not taken it may go the same way the last militancy went after Obj went and level Odi community.

Btw 2006-2011 several oil workers especially contract staffs lost their life and many families 're without their breadwinners. Cos now most multinational oil companies will start using contract staffs as field staff cos the wouldnt pay any severance package in the case of dead of the contract staffs while they keep their main in Lagos office.

Am not a supporter of militancy but dialogue according to Obama Is still the best way to go.
