What is there to gain from demonising these people?? Where is our doctrine of love as Christians?? Haven't we been seeing such images in our cities since forever?? Why are you people making it sound like this is a new thing?? Haven't nomads been part and parcel of our society for decades??

.

That's like saying "haven't murder, rape and theft" been part and parcel of human existence as long as we can remember?

Because something has been a certain way for a long time doesn't make it acceptable.

The hate is getting deeper.

I keep saying this- hatred as devastated not only the hearts but the minds of some Nigerians. It has become so bad their minds are beginning to process images that don't tally with the feeds they get from their vision: where are the cattle inside CBN quarters here??

Here you have herdsmen either taking cattle for grazing or back from grazing from/to their confinement perhaps not far from the CBN quarters, poster made it sound like it is taboo to find the cattle where they are.

That happened way back in 2005, and other similar incidents have happened.

With our minds twisted so badly by hatred, imagine what people like the poster would say should something of a similar nature happen today.

You people should stop adding fuel to a fire that would consume you while the politicians who would gain some capital from all of these inflammable comments would disappear with their families to a distant safe house.

Has herdsmen moving around places they normally shouldn't be seen not been with us through the ages?

What changed and is causing so much frenzy?

BTW, That is not inside Area 11 CBN quarters or the fence is decoration?, it's the roadside and as is common with Abuja, there are bushes around!!!! We can peacefully find a way around this, confrontation won't help!

Why this sudden interest in cattle? We should not allow hatred to blind our good judgement. Some of these cattle in city actually belong to non Fulani who engaged Fulani herdsmen to take care of them. Though I am Christian from the southwest, I have Fulani friends. I cannot imagine Sagir killing a fly....or Amina Poisoning me!

Well, let's be frank...we should not be allowing animals roam the streets of our cities (And I don't mean cattle....I mean also sheep, goats, and even chickens....we have a group of irritant feral chickens who roam around my street in the FCT. in a built up area.!).

Time we modernized farming in Nigeria. If the Fulani could be formed into cooperatives that could get money and buy land to keep their cows in one place...that's all right. Roaming worked when our population was below 50 million. Not now.

Same thing for other animals.

That is all there is to it.

If they are actually in cbn quarters. It's certainly owned by a cbn staff...there are two ways to keep a cow which are domestic rearing and bush rearing. In this case,I gez it's the foma...I wish fulanis will stop going to south, west and east for grazing.I wish let there be a ban of cow, sheep and goat transportation to south, west and east.I wish all the zangos and sabo areas be closed so our northern brothers come back home...and we will see how some iiddiioottss will eat meat..

In 2005 , according to u a plane hits a cow.

What you should be asking is,

What are cows doing in a run way?

What are cows doing in the airports? It could have been disastrous.

It should have been a big lesson to all and sundry that allowing these herdsmen move about freely, cnstituting nuisance is not good for this country.

And speaking out or condemning the act would have been a better option, but how do u do that? Of course media houses is one of te places to create such awareness. I dont see anything the OP did by posting pictures of herdsmen walking where they are not meant to.

Keeping quiet and making it all look normal will make dem wander into another airfield to graze, because it is now clear that these people are ignorant of what they are doing.

It is sane people like you that are meant to caution them or their leaders, it seems they only listen to their leaders or people of same clan. It is evident even here on NL, there is another thread of herds of cows obstructing the movements of imo state governor for morethan 30mintes. And if someone speaks about its dangers on social media, the person is considered a hate personified individual.

1st thing is this, 2005 is a long time, this is 2016 and if u can not some of the things that brought u back in the past, how do u intend to move forward?

1st of all, condemn that very act of herders obstructing the major roads all over this country, condemn their act of grazing on peoples farms, and if they now ask of a reasonable alternative if they stop all those, mention "RANCHES" to them, educate them on the importance of cattle ranches.

And stop condemning peole who condemns this barbaric acts of herding cattles on the streets or destroying peoples farms.

Even in ordinary Ghana you can't find this sort of national embarrassment- cows on the streets.

I expected you to proffer solution to this archaic and barbaric mode of operations by the herdmen and not to shamelessly justify it by posting links and other irrelevant news just to prove a useless point.

O yes this has been happening through the ages but the audacity and intensity increased beyond comprehension since Buhari got into Aso Rock.

For decades herdsmen had not kidnapped a high profile persons like Falae or murdered traditional rulers and other countless arson and destructions but today it has become a norm since Buhari assumed office.

I have consistently read your posts over time, you are starkly prejudiced and seeks to accuse others over what you do here everyday and night.

How on earth is Nigeria a developing country with a herd of cattle roaming the administrative city of Nigeria?

Allowing these herdsmen roam about freely to anywhere the cattle lead them to(I doubt they lead the cattle), clearly confirms this country is a "z**"

Barely-educated Cattle breeder is ruling Nigeria now.
The cattle rearers know that. So they intimidate Nigerians anyhow.

Cattle is reared in ranches, NOT in wandering style like the Fulani do in Nigeria.

Those SMILING ONES who elected Buhari president brought tale of woes to Nigerians.

Absolutely nothing. All the same, since pmb is Fulani and also owns cattle, anything cattle or fulani will automatically be linked to him. It is part of occupying that lofty position. More so, pmb promised us change. Change from the old order. grin
