Got into philly on Monday, jfk Poe, no questions asked but proof that you can pay your bill you must have as you never know.
I don't think change of intent is necessary as you've used the visa for its stated purpose. I dint send any.
Using the same hospital and meeting my financial adviser on Tuesday.
All the best

Thanks @simplysu.. Did you get an obstetrician before you left or you plan to do so after you meet with your financial advisor? If yes, can I have contact details for the ob/gyn you would be using? I'm asking Coz from all I have gathered here, you need a doctors correspondence asides the hospital correspondence. Help please.

Hello Asikiye,

can I get a Copy of your letter of intent and email addy U sent The letter to. My email is Chi.odili@gmail.com
Plzzzzz

asikiye:
I just got this email from the abuja consulate. I sent in my letter of intent on Tuesday.

Dear Madam,

Before you travel to the United States for medical treatment, including childbirth, you should make the appropriate preparations, including an appointment with a healthcare provider, detailed information about where you will receive your medical services, and an estimate of the financial costs. Immigration officials may ask for this information upon your arrival. Healthcare in the United States is expensive. Costs associated with childbirth are high and can escalate quickly if there are complications. You are expected to pay all costs associated with the medical services received including housing, transportation and meals. Retain an itemized statement of account from your healthcare provider that outlines all of the charges from your care and receipt of your payment.

Best Regards,
Consular Section

This email is UNCLASSIFIED.

@cutelass A big congratulations to you and family and praises to God for his goodness and mercy over you.

Dr Mbag** is da bomb grin kiss and his assistant Blanca baby is a God sent as well. took me for a scan (over 30 mins drive) without collecting a dime kiss
Had a great time at St Francis as well.bills is same for singleton and twin delivery as well.after I was discharged the nurse on duty loaded me with 3 bags of freebies(diapers, wipes, baby food, etc).I noticed that they are not quick to send babies to NICU because some hospitals neva see you they are already reciting NICU undecided.
Had a great time in LA but the only iissh is accommodation but I was able to find a good one that I used.

Hello Obi,
Pls be Kind enough to send me a sketch of letter of intent. Would be immensely grateful

Thank u.

Obikada:

Thank you @damidamsel for your response and congrats on the birth of your baby smiley

From what I can gather, using Crozer chester medical center may serve me better as I can get a doctor's correspondence compared to DCHM.

Please can you send me the contact details of the Obstetrician you used so I make further enquiries and a copy of your intent letter to the embassy if possible (I have a sample already but won't mind having yours aswell)

Also, I have family in Philly, is it possible they could source the obstetrician for me?

Also when you say "burden of proof", what did yours contain so I can have mine handy. I will be going direct to Philadelphia and not Atl POE. I pray a seamless experience. My first time wasn't stressful at all and I travelled with my husband.

Look forward to your response.

Thank u Nathz45, theleakytribe, lawyer123, omodadi2, simababe, Nnystc, biollar1, LadyG, Egonne1, ChicMalkia, Ajuju2, Harjeehbaday.

For some reason, the bp came to normal when my naija consultant checked himself 3 days b4 my travel cos I was told if he took the reading himself and it was high, he wld order an emergency c-section.

The day I was discharged from St Francis, the dr told me I was inches away from having a seizure...and that when seizure occurs...placenta abrupts and cuts off oxygen supply to the baby. Baby neva makes it and for the life of mother...it's a 50-50 thing (had to be placed on oxygen at some point before I delivered).

Congrats! God bless your little one! That was so close. I had a similar experience, was induced @ 37 weeks due to pre eclampsia too, ( I had high BP all through the pregbancy) and labored for 27hrs before my baby came. Was also placed on Mag and didn't eat or drink for 4days, only ice. Thank God for his mercies!

Hello all. Going on second missionary journey.
i read about the automated customs kiosk at DFW Dallas Airport for b1/B2 visa holders.
However, reading up about it, i saw that there is a separate kiosk for US citizens. I will be travelling with my 2yr old blue pali holder, can i scan the passport at the same kiosk as mine for visa holders? Thank you

What does it mean when denied and was told that your not qualify for tourist visa. After just 3 questions?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 4 by telias: 10:05pm On May 08, 2016
Been following the thread as a guest. i read about the anxiety of some mums about epidural and i'd like to drop some few notes (for VD o. If it's CS, you have to or go under GA).
Epidural is not the only form of pain control for VD on offer though it seems more straightforward and can be in use through out the period of labour.
you can choose to use IV meds but at the point of delivery, they do not administer so you will be active. However, cheaper than epidural with shorter side effects.
Also, you can go the free way of using heat/cold method (i did and it really helped; got my full refund of $1,100 for anesthesia back, yipee) and other labour aids on offer. BTW sha; it was my second baby. i had already suffered fist delivery without panadol in naija so i guess i could cope better.

Post your detailed transcript to get possible reasons for the denial and advice.

Used st Francis medical center and dr. Mb---u. Hospital bill $2700 for vag. Delivery (includes paediatrician, epidural (the thing wore off towards the actual delivery). Stayed an extra day which cost $900 (covers both me and baby). Hospital gives free stroller. I've gotten zero balance.

Dr fees had always been 1500 and 2500 for vag and csection respectively. When I got here...saw it was now 1000 and 1300...was told the dr considered the current economic situation in Nigeria and decided to slash his self-pay fees. Hmmm...Angels still dey dis earth Shaa.

That's great! Congratulations! Is it Los Angeles?
How did you get your correspond letter? Through Hospital or Dr?
Could you explain more with detail about contract before delivery?

Thank you a lot.
Relax and sleep more
