uduak2016: This is laughable! If I may ask you, which region is at the forefront campaigning for regionalism and true federalism? We don't need any oil. Our greatest asset is our People and our culture. You won't understand this, anyway. The present structure of Nigeria is what is 'killing' our potentials and we are quite aware of it. I bet you haven't read or seen the papers presented by South west as a region during the last conference organised by Jonathan's administration. Yoruba have always been the pacesetters as far as development is concerned in Nigeria. We don't need any oil to attain greatness. 8 Likes 1 Share |

yomexp:Thanks for sharing those pictures. I wanted to reply that mumu that said Lagos as no oil. Agbami is the most popular of all the oil field in Lagos. Even in Epe, Chevron has their facilities in Igboye community in Epe. Many of my colleagues from Lagos back then in school, got Agbami scholarships. |

Ilovemystate:Mr man Offshore brings in more money than onshore. If you drill on Offshore you can drill out oil as high as 100millon barrels compared to onshore that produces lesser. Deepsea drilling is the best. |

yomexp: Please for your information, Agbami oil proceeds do not go to Lagos. Yes Agbami is operated from Lagos but it is closer to Bayelsa state. Bayelsa collects the 13% derivative from Agbami not Lagos. Chevron was initially operating Agbami from both Warri and Portharcourt but had to force everyone to relocate to Lagos due to the insecurity in Niger Delta. Please lets be guided and well informed. Agbami FPSO is not a Lagos state oil field. it belongs to Bayelsa State. If things are properly done, Agbami has no business being operated in lagos Chopper flight time to Agbami from Lagos is 1Hr50min, while from Portharcourt it is just 45mins! Why will you want to fly across the atlantic for 1hr50mins when you can do that from PHC for just 45mins! But some politicians decided to short change PH in the name of insecurity. |

yomexp:from what I can see here, this is not fpso rather it can be called fso. since it can not produce as there was no production facility installed on it. except this will be done later. it can only be used for storage or transportation purpose as it was now. the typical name for this is vlcc. for now stop calling it what you don't know. thanks |

Gaddafithe2nd: Agbami oil field is not in Lagos waters, it's under Bayelsa, the logistics, helicopter operations, drilling and completions teams are in Lagos but the field is in Bayelsa waters. The OML was issued to Star Deep Water Petroleum (rumored owned by Mrs Folorunsho Alakija) in partnership with Chevron Nigeria Limited. People still wonder why the operations of Abgami field is being coordinated from Lagos, because helicopter flights takes about 2 hour, 30 minutes from Lagos to the field, while it cannot be more than 30 minutes from Port Harcourt. We have the Agbami FPSO, the Pacific Bora and Pacific Khamsin drill ships adjacent to one another. Lastly, your colleagues could have gotten Agbami scholarships, we also got Shell, total and chevron scholarships back then in ABU zaria (more awardees than most schools) and there's no drop of oil in Kaduna state. |

BolaHenri: All the oil wells in that axis are in Lagos' territorial waters and the only reason why those ND states are claiming them for now is cos of naij. If and when naij breaks up - Lagos will possess all its possessions based on territorial waters and international law. 4 Likes |
