If only you have an idea of how long these Niger-Delta youths have been complaining. Certain people are just impossible to please. Even if the FG and oil companies give billions to them (certainly through their leaders) monthly, it still won't satisfy them because their leaders hold on to most of it and still leave the others hungry.
That's how deep curruption has gotten. I don't believe oil companies and the FG isn't doing their best to satisfy these people, but is it getting to the needy in these region?
If you visit the creeks and see living conditions, you would pick up arms and fight against such injustice.

I was only making an observation, an observation based on some posters on this thread, and several observations I noticed on facebook in the comments of pages where this news was reported.

And just for your info, based on my comments, there is a clear distinction between 'Igbos' and the 'ipob Igbos' I referred to; I wasn't referring to the larger Igbo population, I was only referring to a group of people with a strange mindset.

Anywhere this nonsense is vomited it must be refuted. Nigeria started with Regionalism..

Ironsi Stopped it
At the last National conference the SW was firmly for resource control the SS and SE sold out

It was embarrassing to watch that brave woman Aniko Briggs take on the North single handedly as her brothers abandoned her to her fate

This is not about resource control. An Ijaw man was in power supported by the SE for 5 years what did he do? He empowered militants like Tompolo while Dieziani looted the country blind. HE had the highest oil revenue in history .What did he do with it?.He failed to clean up Ogoniland. he failed to develop even his own Otuoke.
So stop deceiving yourself that this has anything to do with resource control.
Why do you yorubas like lying like this? Ironsi only decreed unitary system of government but each region has absolute control of their resources. It was Gowon that started with this nonsense by creation of 12 states. You should stop lying, it's not good.

So long as it doesn't affect the power supply up North no problem. Where are the IPOB and "Awa oyel" crew supporting this so call avengers? Una get light? grin Even as Oyel revenue drop the North can still pay salary even Osun, meanwhile Bayesal is owing salary since November last year. Keep up the good work Niger delta avengers, i am glad it also affects the Flatïnos one of their biggest supporters.

This simply shows that the security agencies are incompetent and it's the fault of the president because the bulk stops at his table.

Keep insulting your father.... I am not responsible for your frustration, go and search elsewhere... You cannot stop me from stating my mind and expressing my disgust at acts and sub-human reasoning which defy understanding... You can keep being bitter and you might just wake up one day to find yourself raving mad in the market place.... Obiagelli left because she was sick and tired of the imbecility which overran this forum.... You can keep proving her right if you want..

How can Ironsi decree a Unitary System of government and yet the Regions will still have control of their resources? Please, pick up your book or Google is there for you to read and learn.

Honestly in matters of national interest as this one. I just wish the 'learned' Yoruba tribe will stand on their own and promote their tribe rather than always either attaching themselves to north in support or coming against the east. As if they have no say on their own. This country will be a lot better believe me if they did

or are they really cowards? not sure

You need to visit the creeks and see harsh conditions human beings of Niger Delta are subjected to.

You have been shouting creek creek. Did it happen within one year? Gej from the creek...what did he do about it for over 6 years he was in power? The 16bn monthly the person you quoting mentioned that they have been getting and refused to do anything to this creek people, you have intentionally ignored to talk about. These pipeline they keep blowing up, will it not pollute this same creek further?

I am from Delta state myself and i am with Tompolo on this one. No to violence and destruction of national assets.

This agitation by NDA is entirely motivated and supported by hate and tribalism.

I have lived in the creeks of Bayelsa before for 9 months, that was about 15 years ago. I understand the area is not what it should be - it deserves to be way better. I also understand that only a few gets whatever help comes from FG and the oil companies in those areas. Wealth there simply don't circulate.

What does it mean to toast and dazzle? The implementation of the Ogoni cleanup, the Lagos-Calabar railway plan budgeted for, the road started from Cross Rivers last year, the 2nd Nigeria bridge all in less than a year. Despite the outright and violent rejection of APC in all the elections held same period. Who made life not to be ideal for human habitation? Have you bothered to query your governors? Does Oando not pay for whatever it uses? ****
